In india we are not getting holiday on Indian festival bcoz our clients are foreigner, and we are not eligible for taking off for foreign holidays bcoz we are indian employees 😂
True, i have worked in India, and in Canada, recently switched my job to an indian company (in canada) honestly the experience gives me the feel of working in india, just a tip, try not to work in and indian company in Canada, if you want the feel of canadian work culture.
Thanks for sharing your experience Niketa! It will be fair to say that it is the small things make a big difference! Definitely, something to look up to as I land in Canada this summer.
I am writing this just by seeing 3:13 of your video and I must say that you are one of the sweetest and a genuine individual I have come across. Thanks for sharing :)
Am also working in banking sector in india and seriously we worked in tons of stress, our weekend goes with tenshan that what we doing Monday ,how can we face our boss on Monday etc...in offer latter my job is 9to5 and I leave my office on 8pm.. Again Next day morng we will start with boss aggression and bad mood 😕😕💔💔💔💔💔thanks for explain our pain
I am in Central police of India..but after listening to this video, started having feeling to quit this stressful job and shifting to canada 🤣..I am just imagining the peaceful and stress-free environment at work place...
India mein job karna tuff hi hota hai. Don't feel shy to say indian work culture. Jo sahi hai vo bol rahi ho aap. I agree with you. Aur ye culture ko sudharne ki jarurat hai.😁😁🙏
Apko pata nai kitna bada dar apne dur kiya hai. Me bhot bura experience face kiya hu. I wanted to know just this to even try to attempt for Canada as i was scared what if i face same in Canada. Thank you thank you so much.
Maybe your experience is restricted to a particular company in India. Back home I have given interviews that were much more conversational, wasn't required to submit all those documents. But agreed, technical fields are more of technical questions based but again, that's kept as a separate technical round. What I don't like about Canada's interview process is the amount of time it takes. Finding a job in Canada is a job in itself. It gets pretty demotivating at times. Working 9-5 is something I like here, but I also find it depressing at times, because people don't really mingle during work hours and it feels like we are working like machines.
Yh and i don’t know what kind of company she worked in India but the culture in majority mnc’s is nothing different to what it is in Canada and if we talk about a non-MNC or a private company in Canada too, it will be similar to what you would face in India.
just wait few years and then see office culture in Canada .the huge number of indian immigrants who are landing in canada, they are bringing indian work culture & mentality with them too.they will do same cheap things that they do in india to climb up the ladder quickly.
U should also mention to avoid working for Indian employers.... It may seems like I'm discriminating, but this is reality. If u work for a employer who is Indian, they would most likely not respect you and not pay you the amount what you deserve for your work.
@@SD-db5mc , you can be both. You can adopt the values of both cultures . When I say Indian at heart I mean just because you leave India you cannot deny your Indian identity. You are of Indian origin but you have Canadian citizenship . All cultures are like that.
Thank you so much Niketa, for giving me some relief, i had the scary exprience in indian MNCs where there is no respect, we only have to lick managers boots, even collegues play politics. even terrible experience i faced that I started having phobia for jobs. I was very skeptical about knowing Job culture in Canada. As i am preparing but you give me releif that culture is respectful.
How to get a job in Canada...it sounds so easy and smooth listening to u..n we r happy to c dat....do let us know the vacancies too which r provided ..thanq,
Hey Niketa. Really loved the way you described the work culture in detail. Just one thing to add, the work life balance might not necessarily be perfect in all companies / job profiles. Ex - big 4s have crazy hours here as well depending upon the season, also certain job profiles such as investment banking , asset management etc. also might have longer hours than the usual 9-5.
I think your experience with recruitment in India still needs a lot of study. There are companies with defy this. I am in a company where all this is wrong
Thank you so much for sharing these video mam. I desperately needed it. Can you please help me. I have given 5 interview for an Articling Accountant in Canada in big firms and in the introduction I faced on my technical skills more than my soft skills and addressed everyone as mam and sir. In the follow up questions I asked how performance will be reviewed and related question and I was rejected in all. I have 2 question. 1) It is difficult for me to call elders by their first name but everyone else call everyone by their first name. Is it okay to to call elders even partners at accounting firms by their first name. 2 in follow up questions should I ask light questions like what is the firm culture. What help will be provided to me as a new accountant. Thank you
Can you please guide me...I'm also looking for technical recruiter job but I'm a fresher Wht kind of resume should I make? Any site where I can prepare for interview? I would really appreciate if u help in this It's been 5 months I got my work permit but still looking for Noc job
Thanks for sharing important information :) Keep it up... I have a question, if i got a job offer from Canadian employer for line cook.. sill IELTS score required for work visa? Please help me on this..🙏
Niketa, Thank you for sharing for this video. I have a few questions in this topic: 01. Can a person take mini-breaks after ~2hr of continuous work in Canada? 02. What is the average time for notifying a colleague for a meeting?
Correction: Pay frequencies in Canadian job market are different. It could be Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Semi-Monthly & Monthly. I t not hardcoded for the employer to have Bi-Weekly pay frequency.
Hey this was a very informative one… I am Indian moved to Canada just 2 months ago and looking a call centre job…. I am bit nervous about it… as a hr can you please give me some points that should keep in mind while giving interview…..❤
I am looking for jobs Niketa... I found the Indian interview process and getting a job is easier than getting one here ... Though I have Canadian experience it's taking a lot of time to land one job . The job market is very small here in comparison to India or US . Job culture is better here though... I had a gap of two years post child birth / covid .
@@AttyDG congratulations🎉. I hope you are happy with it. Sometimes the roads in our life take a different turn. We have to make the best of it and be grateful.
Please share a video on interviews like what should we take care before interviews preparation in detail. Please! Bcoz the biggest fear I have is what if they ask something that I don’t know 🤷♀️ Please guide us
