I use two 99-cent spring clamps from my workshop. Clamp 'em on the handlebars and turn 'em upside down with the bike. Works perfectly... very small and very light. I keep 'em in my rack bag.. Thery do the same thing as these very expensive doohickies.

I just bought these after watching this video, they work awesome. Mine has improved velcro straps instead of the rubber bands. I couldn't be happier with them and highly recommend this product. Made taking off my rear wheel off a breeze.

The other thing this could include is a rolled up mat that could be placed under your seat. This would help protect the seat from scratches caused by turning the bike upside-down on gravel, concrete or asphalt. The mat could be rolled around the tripods when they are connected for storage. A velcro strap could be added to help keep everything grouped nicely in your gear bag.

Literally 2 minute job, If you have the ergonomic flat palm handle bar grips twist them so they point upwards upper most and use either allen key or philips type screw driver to lower your instument display tucking it out the way, as you flip your bike upside down, it gives you loads of clearence, works great on my Engwe E26. cost Nowt!

You just need 2 pieces of pipe insulation sponge cut to size and cut down long edge. press onto handlebar or grips. Can also be stored in your bag or just pressed onto any part of your frame while not in use. Find some off cuts in a builders dumpster or friend/neighbour etc. if you dont wanna buy new.

What a fantastic tool. They should sell it in some sort of tough bag that fits over a bike seat to protect the seat while the bike is upside down on the stands. Then keep the stands in the bag when you're not using them.

Thanks for the review. Wife and I recently purchased e-bikes (love em) and on a recent ride got a small thorn. Fortunately, made it home without noticing until the next day. I woke up this morning realizing that I do not want to turn this new brute over on the side of the road with all the "very important" stuff on the handlebars. Plus the grips are a beautiful brown leather. So, half awake, I started thinking of inventing something to support the handlebars. After coffee, I decided I better check and see if someone else already thought about this (typically true). This is much better then my pre-coffee invention.

I just bought and use a "handlebar extender" for this. It's offset by a few inches from the main handlebar, so when I turn my bike over the extender makes all the contact with the ground, and nothing on the main handlebar touches the ground at all. These extenders cost something like US$10-20 depending on size and material. You can even remove it from the original handlebar when you wish if you don't want it on there all the time...just install it when you're working on your bike. I bought a fairly long extender bar so the bike is less likely to tip over. If I leave it mounted all the time, it's great for unexpected repairs on the road... However, the temptation may be there to just put more accessories on the extender handlebar...but of course that then defeats the purpose of buying it to support the bike during repairs.

Well Kyle, another great vid to watch. I am a New and first time owner of an ebike. I went with Himiway for three reasons 1. Didn’t research much. 2. Price 3. 750w motor (Canadian province limits of speed suites 500w). Only have had bike for 3-4 weeks and have over 600klms on it. I guess that being said I am happy with the bike. Since buying I have checked out a few others, I think if I was looking to get another bike I would seriously look at Bolton bikes. Not gonna kid, AWESOME invention. Small, compact and well thought out. Been riding e-bikes for years as a way to commune five out and back from work and? Got VERY good at repairing flats on the spot going to and from work with my own repair kit. Usually only takes 20 minutes and I'm good to go which beats pushing your bike for one hour plus, THEN doing the 20 minute repair. When I get a flat on my way to work? Simply whip out my cell phone and let them know I'm going to be 20 to 30 minutes late and then get to work on the flat. Always carried the tools to remove the wheel, tool to remove the tire and had a spare innertube on me and... that dang small and pain in the butt hand pump. Upgraded lately and have a portable electric rechargeable air pump the size of a beta VCR tape. Yea, it's quite small AND powerful save it's digital display for air pressure? WAY OFF! Set it for 50 psi and a tire made for 40 to 60 and? Innertube BLEW UP! LMAO. Pretty sure it inflated by tire closer to 90 psi. Knew that tire felt too rock solid! But hey? As long as the tire has SOME give when I push my thumb into it but is still fairly solid? Good enough WITHOUT overinflating. Disappointed with the digital display but besides that? Awesome, small, powerful electric air pump. Bonus? Got it seventy percent off at Wallmart so? Probably discontinued.

I have a idea but haven't tried it yet. Super-sized pool noodle that you cut two sections off and slit up the middle. You slide one on each hand grip for upside-down emergencies and the slit allows you to stowe them on your frame when not being used but could serve the purpose of bump guards like old bmx pads. What do you think?

I bought a trike, and I am installing a front motor hub. But I had given some thought on how to change a rear flat tire. What I came up with is 2” PVC pipe, one piece going from side to side.with each slip fitting into four way joint, and pieces slip fitting into one leg fore and aft. Then you would insert a vertical piece into the remaining legs, on top would be a T-fitting with the top cut off, so each side can support the cross frame. So you would lift the bike up to set on the stand, and it would hold the rear wheels off the ground while making the repair. Because everything is slip fitted and not glued, when done pull it all apart and stow the pieces in a small tote bag. Haven’t gone shopping for parts yet, but I guess total cost would be about $20!

Also used 2 set handlebar extension grips with 2nd handlebar matching, To make "Bicycle Handlebar Extender"# that was for attaching bedroll to. 2nd handlebar was set at 45 degree angle forward and 16" away from handlebar. # was not a thing at the time.

You don't need a "bar jack" or any other specialised and expensive product. Just install old fashioned vertical handlebar extensions that screw onto each side. These look like horns, and if you're worried the right one won't fit because it needs to go over a throttle, - simply install them closer to the centre of the handlebar so that the right one is situated before the throttle. This will also allow you to sit up more vertically when you're cruising downhill and don't need the throttle, or when you're using pedal assist. These are excellent to rest your hands on from time to time in order to change your posture. And they double up as protectors for your display and whatever other gadgets you have attached to your handlebars. Oh, and they're much, much cheaper. I got mine from a teen bike someone tossed, they're Aluminium and weigh next to nothing. No need to attach or detach, they're always there.

Bought one for a bike on back order. Just used it. I like it but the legs close up a little too easily so I would recommend the manufacturer change that to be harder to open and close the legs. However, it was excellent for keeping my LCD display, throttle, and brake connections away from the ground. And was certainly more stable than my bike would have been just laying on the handlebars alone. Thanks for all your reviews and tips in general and specifically the review to show me this product which I purchased only because I saw it on your RU-vid channel

I got a flat on my aventon sinch yesterday, back tire following spraying wheel cleaner for car rubber, the spray it and forget it kind. I think that was what caused it anyway, because it is so slick and gets down into the seal and for tires that only take a small amount of air, when that stuff gets down inside the rim, your seal is useless. So I propped the bike up on the curb so it stood on the kickstand on the curb and I held up the other side against my body and painstakingly got one side back inside the rim and then the other, pumped it up, relatively fast, then rode about 20 yards and it completely went flat and came off the rim. This was about the time I realized the tire dressing was probably the cause of this. But I got the tire back on again and this time took bungee cords and wrapped my tire around the top and sides so that when I pumped it up it would stay inside the rim. I thought I was pretty smart but I didn't have anything with me to clean up the tire dressing residue so I didn't even get 10 feet and it's like the rim was rotating by but the tire was lagging behind. Sorry about my scratchy grammar. Basically these handlebar stands will come in handy. I just had my roommate pick me up and i ordered a new set of road tires this time. Anyway, I'll see if I can buy these grip stands as well. Thanks

Neat idea, but it's worth mentioning that inverting bikes with hydraulic disc brakes can cause problems.
