I’ve never heard of this shop, and I’ve lived in NYC my entire life. It looks WAY cool! I’d love to check it out sometime! They should offer history classes and tours around the shop!
I bought my first set of XL120s in the early 80s when I was a fledgling 16 year old who was obsessed with getting good at the guitar and making a living with it. Now I am aging and middle old and still am obsessed with getting good at the guitar and have been making a living with it, since 4 decades, feeding the family, raising the kids, going on holidays, sending the children to university….because it had a sticker with:This set played by John McLaughlin!!!!on it. And today, still XLs,XLE,Pro Arté,Mandolin…..or should I say NYXL!!!
Wow, I heard of that shop, of course but to have such a nice look inside was great. Gotta go to Brooklyn! It's that attention to the customer that made Daddario my only string source. Only ones I cannot get are my sub bass strings for my harp guitars. Quality is top notch no matter which type I use .
Plus they have good customer service. Had a new string fail while tuning up, few days later replacement came in mail with an entire set! Who does that today? Great company that DAddario!
