Work Systems 

A work system is an organizational system that gives students with ASD information about what is expected of them when they enter a classroom. It is a systematic and organized presentation of tasks and materials that visually communicates at least four pieces of information to the student. These four pieces of information include:
The tasks/steps the student is supposed to do
The nature of the task
How many tasks/steps there are to be completed
How the student knows when he or she is finished
Work systems are also referred to as mini-schedules, a schedule within a schedule, to-do-lists, or activity schedules.
