Work V's Cycling. My Search For An Optimal Work, Life Balance. Cycling CAN Change Your Life. 

Probably my favourite channel I've stumbled across recently. Cycling can and does change your life. Bit hyperbolic but it has done more than change my life, it saved it. I started to get into cycling during lockdown, like a lot of people. I'm 34 but at that point I started to enjoy cycling I was living a super unhealthy lifestyle. Smoking tonnes of weed and sat around playing games in my free time to go along with a sedentary IT office job. Bought a fixie which I had tonnes of fun on but it was when I wanted to start venturing out from the cycle paths I wanted a road bike. It was also around this time I found out I was about to become a parent. Suddenly, my own mortality hit me and I wanted to become healthier. In for a penny, in for a pound. Next thing I knew I had just bought a Canyon Ultimate with mechanical ultegra disc. Then I got further and further down the rabbit hole with carbon wheels, powermeter pedals and turbo trainer. I'm shockingly average but the way I saw/see it is if I was happy wasting money on unhealthy habits, spending all my money on cycling stuff is only a positive thing - fortunately my partner was supportive. I tricked my brain into getting addicted to something healthy and the change on my life has been amazing. A few years ago if someone would've told me my idea of a good time involved wearing lycra or getting up at 5/6am to cycle in my shed I'd have laughed at them but I can't get enough of it now!

I turn 64 this year and took cycling back up after a very very long break last August....mate your videos just make me want to bite the bullet and cycle abroad!!...Where you are cycling looks epic!! Love the videos keep em coming!!

Excellent vid Dave must hard sometimes bearing your soul to everyone & it take a brave man to do so . Your vids are inspiring to one & all and like you say if you can just get one person off their ass & onto two wheels then its job done . Keep doing g what you’re doing . Just one thought though !! I know it takes time putting together this vlogs but in the future it would be cool to see telemetry like heart rate power etc . Enjoy the rest of your week 👍🏽

Great video Dave, roads look fantastic. Speaking from experience nothing better than getting on your bike to help with your own personal ups and downs. Mental health is so important, the more we talk about it the better. Keep up the great work, it is definitely going to be helping others.

Loving the videos Dave, I can relate with this being a sparky running his own business. I know your mate Mark and have rode a few times with him, over the years now, . My Dad has a house in Gran Alacant, some awesome riding around the area, I’ve done a few videos myself, but just haven’t had the time to edit and upload. Hopefully catch you and Mark next time I’m over 😊

Some great video’s and content, love the roads round there. Used to ride round Crevillent, Abanilla and Orihuela, great for clearing the head.
