This is a cover of Workin' For MCA by Lynyrd Skynyrd from their 1974 album Second Helping. Fun tune to play. Lots of guitar parts. Ed King's solo is killer.
Bravo...man. I'm not worthy ! But I'm shameless, so I slowed it to down to half. One of my top coulple Skinnards tunes and those guys are bad boys. This was Ed Kings song..RIP and thanks Ed.
I did a video on the lead for this song, long before Ed showed us how to play parts of it, like that first note harmonic. After his instruction and rethinking about it for 7 years I also play it like you show (less proficiently). Good job!
This is a great example of what Ed King added to the band. all the little "extras" added in , yet not taking anything away from the overall. and then his lead parts! This would have been a good song without Ed, but Ed made it great
From Glasgow WOW ! I've been playing this song since the day it came out. I've not seen ANYone nail it that close. Even Ed spoke of the difficulty of hitting it when he played it live. Well done, laddie. 🍀🎸🍀
Awesome job! The potential of this band will never know! This is Genius level of creation. Think about it this was generated for the first time by Skynyrd. It's common too hear it now, but you never heard it before Skynyrd! Great job brother 👍
Nice! Thanks for also including the twin harmony part of the main riff. I can hear Skynyrd do it but never saw anyone else pull it off before. (i believe Gary Rossington played that part in the live videos i saw) Great tutorial video. Keep it up!
Great cover dude the main riff of this song gives a lot of people trouble not to mention Ed Kings solo or Gary's or Allen's which they played the same notes at the same time I noticed you didn't play the outro solo with Gary and Allen it ain't like you couldn't have I mean you nailed this one to the wall it makes any song sound like a piece of cake and I thought the Hotel California solo was tuff withe the 3 guitar attack they made there live performances sound like the records something Ronni Van Zannt ordered it was his way or the highway and back in the '70's bands like Zeppelin or Aerosmith were totally opposite Zeppelin never played any song like it was on the record they basically just got on stage and took off and they took off alright you never knew if Pagey was gonna stay in the pocket or sound like shit sometimes but he's Jimmy Page so whatever he wanted to play was alright with me .
Please post more videos of you covering 70-80s rock holy fuck I’m mind blown. If I was gonna pick a song it’d be Flirtin With Disaster by Molly Hatchet 👌🏼🤙🏼
