When it takes her 40 minutes to go through 8 adjacent rooms in a facility she has worked at for 3 years, one begins to wonder if Valerie is not an alien herself.

I'm laughing so hard due to the fact I am indeed a Security Officer, working a night shift, in the middle of nowhere while watching this lmao

The voice acting and writing is all so good. I found myself shedding some tears for Valerie and her relationship with the MC. So awesome you got to save both her and Perry, who also helped her out.

LOVED this playthrough. I can see this being the first story in a much wider lore. Also, any game that chooses a synthwave soundtrack immediately goes up 100 gamer points in my book 😄

lol the confusion @1:10:35. Valerie was already at 102 (on the way to the no number room) when Insym messed up the sector 2 power code call @56:44 which led to her death in the no-number-room. But after reloading the save, Valerie safely made it to the no-number-room (which she should be currently at). @1:02:24, Insym forgot to update her location, and directed her from the no-number-room to room 201 where the conversation with Dr. Spears took place.

This was a lot of fun. The story and dialog were great. It's a small game, but there's so much going on that it feels bigger than it is.

1:00:50 I love how everyone just starts enjoying this one banger! Honestly re-watched just to find this part, sadly can't figure out if it is a real made song. Would be cool.

The most intense thing in this game, is when you try to guide your friend through the right room/way.. It gives me chill to hear a person at the other side of the radio, is struggling to keep themselves alive..

I love how you focus on “Let’s find… Planets” crossword puzzle throughout the game

The dialogue occurring at the same time as the security authorization would have driven me crazyyyyyy. And trying to read while being repeatedly interrupted. But I'm 🚮 at multi-tasking. lol

The wall notes were a lot better than in most horror games - but I love that there's these random conspiracy notes still sitting there that are dated THREE YEARS AGO! I guess they just only ever bothered to clean the obvious stuff like the desk which in itself shows something about the work environment. It's really cool how much extra stuff there is to find.

Anyone else get Welcome to Night Vale vibes??? Absolutely loved this game, super cool.

About your confusion around 1:09:00, you made her move east before you reloaded the Quick safe, so she was one room further than you anticipated

This game seems to have more potential, like walk her through the facility in order to kill the alien before it calls for help while she have to get a gas mask while you have to hide from a cultist or alien by hiding under the desk or something, very much like 5 nights

No game has tested Insym’s A.D.D like this one.

Hey Insym ! You should play an horror game called ColdSide. It's a game inspired by the universe of the SCP Foundation and it's made by only one person. The game is incredible and really well done, it deserve more interest. Also, the composer of the game Soma made the musics of the game, so, it's not nothing. The game has 4 different endings depending on your choices at the end of the game. I hope you'll see my comment ! If you wanna know, yes I've already send a request for this game by the Google Doc you provide.

I think the cultist that starts talking at 44:14 is the same voice actor for the hiker and monster in 'Do You Copy' :)

I'm really digging this game, it's a fun take on an accessible format.

Valerie TOTALLY earned her own death. "Hey, maybe don't go towards the cultist that helped start all this." - She decides to go comfort the cultist. "Hey, now that you're done comforting the cultist, maybe you should keep moving so you don't die." - She decides to throw a tantrum. "Hey maybe don't argue with me and keep moving so you don't die." - She decides to sit on her ass and argue. All those things were soooo frustrating to hear hahaha but the game was still cool in spite of Valerie's stupidity.

I hate watching streams after the fact because I just wanna scream the answer when Insym is confused lmao

Awesome game honestly. Looks so polished and high end, simply stunning. Only the pacing feels rushed. I don't get why everyone hates Valerie so much. The kid died in her arms and she was grieving, loss can make you act harsh and lash out but that is part of the process, from my own experience... Simply, she wasn't dramatic, she was traumatized. Ngl the way some of yall react to her is straight up misogyny - "haha woman moment" seriously?? Her friends died, she is stressed to the max and doesn't know what to feel, she can't think, only react. That's any human's response to being overwhelmed. I really like her character, she is wonderfully written and voiced.

This game was really cool, but i can't help but feel it was a lot of wasted potential, and slightly lacking in the actual gameplay department. They have a whole lot of potential with a setup like this, but most of the environment turns out to be fluff. It would have been really cool to see more story, and more interaction with the player. You never really had to do anything except select a choice on a dialogue wheel. They should have put in more puzzle elements, characters, npcs that show up at the gate whom we had to turn away or let in, etc, and allow us to actually interact more with the story. In the end, most of the cool notes and interactables don't actually serve any purpose.

soo your confusion around the 1:13:54 mark is because of the messed up thing that happened with the phone and her dying, when yuo reloaded she was in that little middleground room as you had told her to go east just before she died then you reloaded and saved her then you told her to go east into 201 after that you told her to go east again instead of north so she told you she couldnt do that and i was screaming at my screen about it lol.... XD

I think this was an OK game, great concept, good production, and VO work. That biggest problem for me was the pacing of the story, you had little to no time to explore and the let the creepyness/mystery sink in. I think this would have served better as a slow burn spanning a few days, building a rapport with Val and the others. Working up/vamping up to the action based ending.

Your outpost doesn't have the same amount of power as the actual facility, meaning the power reset wouldn't be strong enough in their to decloak an alien. With the lights flickering, and the coffee mug smashing, I think there's one in your office at all times observing. Batshit theory? The alien in the facility is violent as it's from a prison ship and it crashed in a stasis/escape pod. Perhaps a psycopath of their species. The one in your office is a peaceful one montioring the situation, waiting to ensure the evil one is either killed or trapped so the peaceful ones can recapture it. The coffee mug smashing was either them getting annoyed at the situation OR trying to get your attention to check the power/radio. Doubt you'll see this as the video is older now, but it was fun to write!

So the VO is alright. Their expressions are really muted and disconnected a bit too frequently. I know they put this together on a budget, but these are definitely actors that may not be that experienced or really didn't put their most forward on this. It's definitely better than other games you've played.

I don't think you actually killed her. I think the game just had a glitch. Also she had already moved to the room between 101 and 201, but because of the issue with the game and the assumption that Val had died and you had to reset, that threw you off and made you think she was back in 101.

I worked in emergency services and 54:00+ behaviour of the female character is painfully realistic :/ Like I literally had a career change after 3.5 years because multiple women, that were in need of immediate help, almost made me leave them to die with their insane behaviours. 1:13:20 she can't go EAST anymore and she was in 200 row. Then where the f*ck can she be? In 201 maybe? Watching people acting stupid makes me unhappy :(
