I have been in the workforce for 15 years, and I've been at Amazon for close to 2 years now. I can honestly say it's by far the BEST job/team I've ever had! My job responsibilities and co-workers keep me motivated to WANT to come to work everyday. If I work OT, it's because I CHOOSE to. Don't knock it til you try it! ;)
@@bentleyandgrantvideos1166 what you have written means the opposite to what you seem to mean - I think what you meant to write was "Kate Munson I could not agree with you more." even though I think Amazon is EEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVVIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL I'm willing to give this mentoring free. Good luck to you and your colleagues sending emails which say the opposite to what you mean :)
Amen love working at amazon it total depends on your managers and I have good ones. Some people are not satisfied with anything. Some people are just lazy and don’t want to work.
most of us don't have desks, work stations more like. its really not all that bad, for me anyways the crying only happened on the 1st two days and only sometimes will I actually whine to myself in agony. it is a hard and painful job that is hard to stomach but it feels rewarding and you are apart of a good community if your manager is not actually an asswipe but a helpful douchebag at the least. applying yourself and making sure you have enough to eat and keeping knowledge of the job burned into your brain will only make the job feel easier and less of a hassle. my amazon facility's motto: Vikings row as one.
in 2018 one of my buddys got a concussion while loading a truck because the safety issues on the conveyor belt in that fulfillment center have been ignored for 2 years so the washing machine that was barreling into his upper back was not stopped by the sensors like they should have. he had to come back to work the next day.
We are likely looking at 10% of its employees!! What about the thousands on the floor working infinite, fast pace hours?? In Germany workers have one job,; they work 36hrs and get paid for 40hrs. It's proved that working longer hours people make more mistakes; more unhappy workers; more injuries; more cost to the whole system!! Amazon could change the history of US working conditions if it wanted!! It would be an example that people would start asking from each corporation. Why Europe has a better quality of life than us. Why we can't do the same?? Why?/ Because that's how it's been for ages?? No paid vacations; no paid maternity; no health care...and so on. Jeff Bezos, you can change America's quality of life by changing working conditions and be remembered for something way more important than "once the richest man in the world."
Both Jeff Bezos and his company Amazon are Evil, wicked to the core- however what third party sellers and affiliates endure , what warehouse workers in PA, AZ, TX , TN, AR etc.. go through is far more horrendous than what managers at the corporate office go through . I sympathize with those small businesses doing business and low level workers than senior engineers and managers at the corporate headquarter. Amazon is indeed Evil , Amazon is HELL.
2:08 “It’s a very diverse organization..” yet individuals like myself who suffer from a disability get fired without even getting passed orientation nor Day 1 because y’all’s “accommodations” team sucks ass and completely ghost their clients. Very diverse, indeed.
Do they promote people from within? Alot (or most) tech companies won't promote from within. I've even had interviews where hiring managers admit they don't tend to promote people. I'm a microcontroller/microprocessor based designer. This might be useful in robotics projects. Can I start as a technician, and move into more design work until I am a full time design engineer? *Does Amazon promote people from within?*
Research for SDE interview, what kind of problems u gonna solve, what kind of leadership qualities u need to have, if u are a new grad, for you leadership principle answers can be outside of work, and easier, you can find a lot of material on youtube. Check out Crack Coding Interview book, on youtube check out: Dan Croitor and Amazon Interview Whizz. Check out leedCode Amazon interview technical problems, check out Amazon website for preparing amazing SDE interview. If you want to work and gain some experience then apply to amazon, I would recommend researching what qualities they are looking for in 14 leadership principles, so you can gain them in your experience. Plus I would recommend daily practice on technical problem-solving.
aGood Morning my name is Tia Hunam I have a Bachelors in Business Administration and working on Grad in Finance looking for a position in either area how do I apply and get recognized for an interview to hire? Thank you!
The first step is to stop lying. If you have a degree and are so dumb you're looking to get hired out of a youtube comments section... I don't even know what to say.
They said they are oriented to costumer and their employees are costumers but they are rude making interviews. In first place a girl with a really strong accent made me the interview in english. It suposse to last 45 min but after I told them I would ideally earn 1000 euros per month they quickly say goodbye. It sounded so rude. obiously she was not educated and have no idea about how to treat a person. Wont apply again and wont buy anymore in amazon, nos either me or any of my friends
