your camp shelter is looking wonderful, especially because it's made with nature in every direction. i don't have any palm trees in Chicago, but it makes me think about what i would have around my area that i could use to build a shelter. your stone walls look like they just arrived from Ireland ... 😊❤

Actually, if you see the videos of the Haitian immigrants under a bridge at the Rio Grande, the hut construction techniques are the same, inherent to the human race DNA. Permanent settlements saw the need for stone walls and better roofing.

Not so... If "Medio Ambiente" (the organisation who look after natural environment in Spain) found out about this he could end up in trouble. More so if he lit a fire for doing his cooking on and smoke was seen coming out of the forest!

It looks like a Robinson Crusoe camp built on a deserted island. Getting as close to Mother Nature as possible but the cleaning was left to Friday according to the story.

You have reminded me of my childhood, many years ago now, making huts out of Mugwort stalks woven into squares. Only possible in summer, it's to wet in the UK the rest of the time.

No palm tree in my area too, nice, good music and the warm temperature. I did not know that palm tree are with hard spike. Very interesting. In a few week, us we will built a shelter with ice, we still have over zero celsius in the day.

Back in the day, island houses were built like that by the Guanche women.

I doubt it. The Guanches were a stone age race. They lived in caves and traces of their art can be found in many places on the island.
