In this lesson, Ryan discuss one of the most fundmamental concepts in programming: methods. Similar to the definition of a program, a method is a list of instructions which a computer executes.
There are many names to describe this same process (function, procedure, imperative, subroutine, command, algorithm...), but in Java we call them methods.
Even if you don't memorize the structure of a method right away, I suggest following along in an IDE and writing the code out to practice.
