[I've said it before, but I'll say it again] I find a strange fascination with the business-y side of the lifestyle. It's something your contemporaries really aren't doing. The content and adventures are the main draw... but this side of it truly is unique.
22:39 That is a very wise aspect for Your life... live the life You Dream of right now, as tomorrow might be too late. And always be aware of Your Bear Necessities 😉😇 I really like Your Excel-supported mercantile gypsy style 😊 Greetings and a cuddle for Chase 🐕🐾🖖
One of the things I enjoy about your videos is that you're "always in the moment as well as thinking ahead". Not an easy skill! Always smart to take some checkpoints to see where you are, how things are going, does it match what you need/want, are you having fun? and of course always trying new things. I enjoy your videos because I never know what/where you'll be next. Looking forward to the next one and hope lots more people subscribe, because your fun, smart, and a dog lover. Haha.
I just want to say thank you for sharing the truth about this kind of lifestyle, other You Tubers don't really share the truth and how really hard it is. I truly pray for your channel to grow, to help you out with income. God Bless you both.
Dude, DO NOT GIVE UP!!! Def keep up the channel, even if it's only 4-500/month, that's not the point yet! I WISH I'd started a channel 2 years ago, and would be amazed with how many subs you have!! You got this, just NEVER GIVE UP!! -This is your friendly reminder that you kick ass and your puppy is adorable-🤘
Enjoyed the video . I enjoy watching people like yourself going for it off grid style . I have a suggestion , come to the beaches during the summer. Gulf shores / pensacola area. The tips are higher and way more orders
One thing to consider: The city you’re in at the time can make a huge difference. My friend and I both tried this on scooters when we were recently out of work at the same time. He wanted to compare our experiences because HE had been thinking of doing this as a way to travel the country and also see old friends like me and be able to make money while visiting. He lives in Seattle and I live in Fresno. He made a ton of money in Seattle. It’s a very affluent city and everything is close together. I’m in Fresno and didn’t make any money because it’s too poor and spread out. In Fresno there are too many people trying to be a delivery driver and not enough people placing orders.
Get yourself a mini rice cooker and you can make coffee you can make soup make rice make stew absolutely anything and it’s safer than a portable fuel 👍🏻💯burner
Loving your vlogs Christine. Even though I have been very comfortably living vanlife for over 23 years, you are teaching me some things... those being about DoorDash, UberEats, and even RU-vid. I greatly appreciate intelligence and and you have such great qualities that I can relate to. I also really appreciate your analyzation of the "numbers" as this really evaluates the realities. Thank you Christine for teaching me so much. It is a pleasure to have SUBSCRIBED and to happily give you a great big thumbs up for your high qualities👍👍👍
I’ve done the food deliveries before, but my current favorite is tutoring with Cambly. It is super easy with no degree required and you can pick up hours anytime. It pays $10.50-$12 an hour and saves my car! Thought I’d mention it to you! It is teaching English to people from all over the world- material is provided or some people like free-talking.
@@debslifesimplified6406 let me know if you have questions! I prefer the Cambly Kids (teaching kids) platform because it is more structured and parents can make reservations. Plus it pays $12.
Thank you for taking the time to make and post this video. Loved the number crunching 🤓. Maybe you were an accountant at some point. P.s., I watched it 3 times to try to get you ratings up☺️
At 5:38, you can also see which houses/neighborhoods have swimming pools. That's a good sign that it's a nice area of town, as you'll normally see multiple houses with pools in the backyard.
You channel will grow we watch you every day. You keep on going girl you will get their. From a dude from Michigan don't give up👍🐕🇺🇲.🇮🇹now in Las Vegas. 🛵 Door dash will do thanks to you.
I liked all of the information on these jobs, and appreciate the effort and time you put into it. I agree, a life well lived and full of memories is a goal. Safe travels and I’m excited to see what happens next!
Another great video 🎉 Love the crunching the numbers Remember to pay yourself first , a little every month adds up Keep growing this channel and make a fun career Cheers 🍻
I'm considering doing DoorDash too as a way to catch up on bills and replace my car with a van. I appreciate you showing your method. Love the idea of using the mileage app and keeping a spreadsheet. The set point of trying to earn a $1/mile is a great idea. I also appreciate that you showed how much time you were actually dashing vs. how much time you were waiting for an order.
If I were young an single I would definitely be traveling. In fact my husband and I planned on doing RV life. But Gods plan was to have us homestead and rescue huskies. I love it ! Being a husky mom is definitely not what I had planned. I was 45 before I had my first dog. It’s so fun watching you. Live the dream ! Be very careful. Have fun ! Leslye
You only live once in this world and every human being has time against them, which we cannot buy to prolong our stay in this existence. With each day passing you by, you are nearing towards that last breath that is guaranteed to leave you. May not be today, or next year, or in the next decade.... but one day it will. Time is ticking. Purchase or hire a RV, Pack your bags and get out there.... Explore the beautiful world, or whatever is left of it. As for your huskys, you need to find a long term career for them.
Thank you for being so transparent with food-delivery line of work. It's not all pink and rosy like I thought. I guess every line of work has its pro and con.
I think you should keep doing the delivery app thing & RU-vid while building up some Patreon"s or however it's done nowadays, direct support from people who want to see this type of content. I would like to see you get into a nice modern stand up deluxe camper / delivery van 👍
When it comes to finding a good spot for stealth camping, gig work is awesome. I started Uber Eats this month and found some extra places. That way when I start living full-time in my car next month I have several safe options around town.
I'm from that part of the country if you go through Evansville Indiana the flying j north of Evansville is a great place to spend the night. And Evansville is great for door dash and Uber eats I also do Instacart there. Love your videos
Very wise outlook to your travels and enjoying life and not having to look back and possible regret not doing it. I have seen some team mates retire after putting 60+ years into a desk job and then getting an announcement a few months later that there is a memorial happening as the team Members have passed away (sadly I've seen this multiple times).
You have such a positive attitude for someone that is homeless. But it is nice you have a car and able to make a bit of cash with it and can sleep in it too.
Hi Christopher 👋🏼 I could afford a house but I choose to live in my vehicle for adventure and financial savings. I stay with family a lot too so that I can spend time with them and get a break from the road 🙃
Hi Christine! You have such an adorable travel buddy. 💕🐶💕 Sharing your video, hoping that it helps your algorithm. I wish more people would do this. Even just emailing the video is considered sharing. Wishing you lots of success with your channel. ☺️❤️🙋♀️
you have the seat belt in the lower position, raise it up, the closer the neck it sits the safer it is, if you have it too low then the risk is that it slides off your shoulder during an accident, and then it can hurt you instead
You’re in my town! Louisville is great but I am very biased. 😊 I know the areas you’re driving through doing your food deliveries. I enjoy your channel. Be safe, both you and little Chase.
Ohhh I hope you stick with YT and that your channel grows more and more, you have really informative and inspiring videos. I think it’s amazing all of the things you take on
@@ChristineMeachum You are most welcome! Im trying to learn about YT but really only watch a few vanlife type channels that talk about sponsorship… I dont know how that works but maybe its a helpful added option … does a channel have to reach out to companies or???
It was so cool to come across this video! I am from the area you are in so it was just cool to see these places I see everyday be a new experience for someone. Plus your sweet old man is so cute ❤Marengo is amazing and I'm sure you're going to love it!
Your channel is a breath of fresh air, keep it up, your videos are top quality and very entertaining. You can uber yourself and Chase some dinner on me. my appologies its in Canadian Pesos.
Sigh… what a way to watch a brand new vlog ❤ I’m very happy and proud of you Christine that your making a lot of money on delivering food and stuff 🙏🏻☺️
I plan to do a stint of traveling and living in my vehicle in the near future, and this delivery idea came to mind. Thank you for sharing with such accurate detail! Extremely helpful! I've never driven or used apps to earn money, so its very insightful. Also its a great concept to see and learn a new place while earning a little.
Hey Christine! Good to see a newer video. I just wanted to let you know: Whole Foods markets do not necessarily mean it’s a safe neighborhood. There’s one in Mpls that is in the middle of everything bad going on around it. Shootings, robberies, etc so please be careful about that assumption. ❤ to you and Chase this was a fun video!
I hope you do more of these videos. I live in Australia and am wanting to do exactly this when my little guy has finished school :) be very interested to watch you travel and work the food apps at the same time
Hi Christy , do you include a couple of Milk - Bones with every meal delivered ? 😂 Seriously , is that a bow you have hanging up with a towel hanging over it for privacy ? If it is youv'e given me a great idea ! Thanks !
I love when you do these type videos😊 I would love for you to experiment and for 1 month do just the weekends for food delivery and then show us the numbers☺️ what do you think?🤔
Awesome channel, great content! Your energy is inspiring, keep doing delivery videos, they are entertaining and informative. You offer dog adventures (Dogs Rock!!), travel, views after views and real life survival… Subscribed!!
Yeah this is definitely an awesome way to go. When I was in the Prius, it was amazing to see a new city as well as get a feel about what are the best restaurants in the area and then go back to those and get some good food.
Have you ever considered seasonal work? You can go to some very remote places, work a 40 hour week, room and board are very cheap. 2 days off to explore the different national parks and what not. You can even get a job at chena spa in alaska, during the winter see the notthern lights and enjoy the natural hot springs. Ive been doing doordash 3 yearas, just tired of going nowhere but having to work all day everyday no days off to make ends meet with all my overhead.
I do thisssss me and my friend do this we would sleep in our cars and do ubereats on our bicycles but now I do Instacart but I also want to be a nomad and go to different cities work and sight see and move to another city
You do a great job on your video's and I believe you can be very successful with You Tube. As another fan mentioned paying yourself first I would encourage you to do that also. You seem to be very good with numbers so I bet you already have an IRA set up. Keep putting out content and watch your channel grow!
Great video with detailed data. I am a full time RV’er, and haven’t worked since last November. I, too, have been considering work like you did. Using my new (2006) VW Beetle, as I travel.
just found your channel and i'm watching everythinggggg, i love how you edit your videos and tell all the details as they unfold! you're so candid with the camera, it makes watching SO interesting and engaging , like im right there with you 😄
I’ve left you another comment similar, but I wanted to say it again, I Watch your videos because I enjoy your personality and your energy. There are tons of van lifers, and I don’t watch their channels no matter what they do or where they go. I think you found the key by doing things that bring you joy and help you grow in the way you want to grow… looking forward to seeing where you’re adventures. Take you next! There are so many cool festivals. Have you ever scheduled a loose itineraries based on hitting cool festivals? I’m not talking, large scale, musical festivals I’m talking, regional cool quirky fun ones. Anyway, mostly a comment for the algorithm! Sending you all the good juju😊
Not easy to break into RU-vid #carlife these days, but think you offer interesting and solid advice. And the “cream rises to the top” as the saying goes. (I also enjoy your humor). You seem to like your own company - a very valuable skill in life, IMO. And a skill that gets sorely tested when traveling alone. Though Chase clearly adds to the fun. 🐕 Best of luck! I will keep watching.
