Your videos have been really helpful in my journey to becoming an assistant psychologist. And this one definitely adds to that knowledge bank again. Thank you very much for sharing this Holly.
A GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS HOLLY! I have worked within MDT's in my AP role. This is a very good description. I have never had a question on it! I have had 9 AP interviews over the last 6 months (all rejections) and now I have 2 DClin interviews coming up. Never give up and keep educating!
Thanks for the video Holly! Although I've been working as an honorary AP for 10 months now I don't feel I've had much involvement in MDTs so it was interesting to watch this video, and it has helped me reflect a bit more on some of the work we do
Thanks Nerile! I think it can be tough as an AP to feel you have a voice, but that really does depend on the MDT and the psychology team within it. Also, there may constant reminders that you are not a qualified member of staff, which can feel diminishing, but you also do not have the clinical responsibility of qualified staff. I think an advantage of that though is being able to sit and watch how the MDT works and observe what the psychologists do in MDT settings :)
