Well undergrounds weren't marked for the job i thought i had lined up. Miscommunication. But i still got out to work my 12 foot ROME TRH Breaking Disc. Unsure how many feet of a cut it is with the one disc being broke though haha

pulled one the rome plows with hyd wheels for land clearing after kg pileing the logging debris with a d 7 cat the rome would pull up 8 to 10 inch stumps and spit them out and yes it was a real load for the cat dozer in sand land great plows built tough for new ground breaking their is nothing built this tough

I can agree with you on that, they are very stout. I am trying to find a unit with hydraulic landing gear so i don't have to keep trailering my disc to different job sites. It's a chore to do.

Rome plow is made in Georgia not too far from me. Some people here use them to chop up all the leftovers after clearing land.

That’s what I originally bought it for, but seeing as we are breaking some prairie land that’s hard as a rock figured it would be a good test. Hopefully right away I’ll be putting it back to work. Everyone is finishing up harvest and bush is ready to be pushed.

@@LLImprovement what gear / gears were you using to pull your Rome disc ?

@@craigalston2208 It really depends on your tractor, they were designed to be pulled by a cable cat. So going fast is not what they were designed to do. 3-5mph is max speed. Picking a gear that doesn't load the tractor down too much, but finding the most efficient RPM your engine runs at is key. You'll be there a while. 2 passes minimum.
