That sounds like arcing, or leaky caps. If the tantalums are leaking dc that will draw the bias off on the transistors and they will shut off like a switch. I'm guessing that is what the problem is. If it's on loud sounds and power up, that would also make sense.
@@troylukans2174 Dang that's really strange, need to get the scope out and see whats going on. Shotgunning is just going to end up costing money you don't need to spend.
I noticed in general you replaces caps mostly on these games. Other than fuses, are these the standard go to parts towards fixing them? Is there a way to check them because replacing?
Yes there is a way to test them sometimes you can see the end bulging out on the cap but to check the cap properly, you have to remove it from the circuit board so at that point, I just put a new one on
