Hi there! 👋🏻 I know this isn’t related to this video but I was just thinking that could you make a video about how to know you’re satisfied in recovery and after recovery? I’m confused about this one because now that i’ve started all in, I keep thinking about food even though i’m reeeally full but at the same time I could just still keep eating. I mean food still tastes good etc but i’m full and anything less would feel restriction, so am I missing the satisfaction point here somewhere? Or is satisfaction a feeling that comes only after nutritional rehabilitation or what? And how am I able to spot it when I get it because I have no clue how it feels. So sorry for this long rambly question. I would really appreciate If you could light things up a bit! 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️ I just found your page today and i’m currently watching through all your earlier videos! 🤗👌🏻

Hi! This is a great great question and I know something that so many people have in recovery. Its hard because hunger, fullness, + satiation cues have been off for quite some time so it all seems like a very foreign thing BUT once nutritionally rehabilitated and properly nourished you will understand these things better as they will happen naturally. Right now in recovery it's perfectly normal and necessary that you feel hungry ALL the time and have no perception of fullness or satiation. As you move forward your body will start to wake up more and normalize and then you will start to feel this thing called satiation or this feeling of "I'm done" after eating a nutritionally replete meal. So ride it out, continue to feed yourself cause this is the only way to get out of this :) I will put this in my list of things to talk about in a video!

Flow With Chlo thank you so much for answering! ✨ this was really helpful and calming to know! So basically: whenever and how much ever I feel like eating/think about food I can just keep eating (aka LOTS of food😅) and I don’t have to ”practise” normal eating, right fullness or satiation?

So, throughout my entire recovery I exercised for hours a day until this past week where I felt the fatigue I was experience just became overwhelming and my whole body was aching and my extreme hunger hit hard when I ceased all activity other than a bike ride or walk. Now during extreme hunger I am having three considerable meals, but I find after a big lunch I feel so tired and anxious, like I don't have the energy to function, but I'm also not able to nap because I feel edgy and emotional, then I will go out in the kitchen and the compulsion to have a mini binge takes over, after this I feel amazing like I have so much energy and for an hour or two, I feel like anxiety washes away and I want to get up and move (walk/bike) and I don't feel bad about the food I've eaten because throughout this whole recovery process I've felt so low energy and now I feel good. Is it normal to only feel energized after "bingeing"? I only feel better after I literally stuff my face, otherwise I feel like a lifeless zombie, even after a meal. I noticed this when I first attempted recovery, but it lead to purging and restriction afterwards. I also was wondering how long it took for your weight gain to slow down during extreme hunger? I know you say in another video that you were no longer gaining eating upwards of 6000 calories, I am maybe eating 2000, with the exception of a few days I fully gave in to the hunger. I'm already a normal weight, I've gained 30lbs and my whole body is quite swollen, but still no menstruation, which is another reason that I stopped exercising. I have not had a period in at least 5 years. Did you wait for your cycle to return before you began physical activity again? Sorry, for all the questions, this is just a very hard process to go through alone. I don't know anyone who has gone through this and all I can do is search for answers, but I know your experience may have no correlation to my own, It's just nice to hear other people's personal experiences. Thanks and you have no idea how much you have helped me during my recovery, I love that your approach with your videos is very straight to the point and actually helpful advice, no "food challenge videos, life is amazing because I'm tiny in a bikini with abs but eat 10,000 calories, or I was anorexic and now I'm vegan and eat 3,000 calories a day but it's all dates and fruit, no fat or protein"

How long did it take for you to recover and begin to exercise ?

Thats a really hard question to answer. I started 'trying' to recover after the first year of being really deep into my disorder. I had lots of improvements followed by relapses over the next 11 years but I always was learning and improving even if it was just in my confidence of being able to do somethings like trying bread for the first time. So by the time I got to my last push into full recovery I had already come a long way. The last big push of going all in and getting my period back was 3 months of half-in and then 1.5 months all-in till I got my period. I didn't add in exercise till after my 3rd recovery period. My current exercise regime is way different than before. I workout but its not as long, less rigid, not structured or planned, intuitive, and lots more rest between intense workouts.

Hi, I am sorry you are dealing with this and I know that it is really hard. I honestly was just fed up with how my life was going and wanted to experience freedom. After 11 years of eating disorders and obsessive exercise regimes I knew what that life looked like and the happiness (or lack of I should say) it brought me. I was ready to take my chances with living in a different way. If you are ready to let go of this I recommend sending me an email--- contact.flowwithchlo@gmail.com. Part of the coaching process is developing the why behind wanting to recover and creating a plan to help you get there. I would love to help you out more with this and look forward to talking!
