41k subscriptions as of Nov 1, 2018. I predict 100k by December 2018. I've watched 3 videos and thought I'd share that I'm 46 and feel like I could box for a title in x few months if he trained me lol.
Marvin Cook you are not just the Man but the Fucking Man I have been in to a few boxing gyms and how I realise that they are many people who pretend to be boxing trainers this information is the type that mostly the world class boxers of old had eg Sugar Ray Robinson thank you so much I am learning all the very best to you shout out from the uk . More more more more you are blessed may Amen Ra continue to shine upon you
I'm not going to lie, dude is real light on his feet, any other wise it's impossible to launch punches while moving with such perfect form and balance as that. Takes being helps fit and lots of training.
JAy sWaGg Rolle people truly do not understand how great out of a boxer Floyd is. They don’t understand how much skill and intelligence he has inside the ring. He is truly the best ever.
No offense to UFC guys but they seriously need to train in boxing more, I have seen very very few MMA fighters who actually have good boxing skills and they don’t realize how much it would help them out in their sport.
this is really great information as a boxer and life time martial artist i can say this information is invaluable and no matter if your a beginner or expert its never a bad idea to brush up on your fundamentals and hear it explained through another perspective
good coaching man, you don't have a gym in fort worth texas do you? we have a lack of boxing gyms. we have 2 gyms that allow no contact and one that is full and doesn't accept any more people.. forced to take mma or other martial arts but i like boxing :/
I like his take on not cutting such a tight angle, made sense. But then I thought, hey you know what Mike tyson takes such an angle. And when you smother and take such an angle your left hook becomes the main weapon, not your cross, which would nullify their cross and would definitely open for you cross. Mike said he likes to smother and dominate an opponent's shoulder side by hiding and floating around just behind their arm pits... you can see how this would be an effective set up for mike tyson style hooks. I've watched Marvin's videos a lot, it finally dawned on me that his advice is best suited for teaching a more longer range style fighting and not as much the shorter inside mechanics.
It is perfectly clear to me ! This is definitely gold and I do believe if you master that besides a constant true boxer stand, it could for sure set you up a good advantage position. Thanks for that man, it's awesome ;)
Very smart and it really has me contemplating more into the game of things. This is very helpful and I loved every second of seeing what it can teach. Thanks for the knowledge
But how do you bring the right hand in play? Cyz when you move to the right .... You get away from your opponentes right hand but so does your opponeny right? Or do i have this wrong? Can somebody please explain this to me?
Brilliant stuff! I'm not a boxer, but, I was so drawn into the fellows enthusiastic, intelligent manner in teaching the art of boxing. And, you can see why young guys who may not be so good in school, instead, absolutely shine with a different kind of intelligence that is needed to make a successful boxer. Well Done!
I'm confused about the beginning of the video. At the 0:25 point he says he doesn't like the step over to the right because someone could fake the jab and come over the top and you can't defend yourself. But then there's another video talking about stepping over against an aggressive opponent. Please clarify
I believe what he is saying is don't step over out of your boxer stance because then he can cross you and your offense is towards wrong direction. Do step over but using your hip so you maintain your boxer stance.
S F You are exactly right brother because stepping over without your hip you lose control of your momentum and your body shifts off balance. Stepping with your hip first keeps you grounded because your lower extremity is the heaviest portion of your body but it allows you to step over while in your true stance.
allot of the stuff don't work with southpaw vs orthodox, in those fights you need you lead foot outside their lead foot to almost nullify their offence and make angles.
Dimitur Stefanov it's got to be one keyboard Warrior hater out there somewhere and we found him on this channel everyone else on here is agreeing with him but you
