What's up Trace? I like the sound of that large diaphragm condenser 🎤🎙. Of course your Flutes sound fantastic as always. I own a pair Shure SM81s that I use for my Drum Overheads 🥁🪘. At 350 dollars a piece brand new that is a bit pricey but in my opinion they are the best small diaphragm condenser 🎤🎙s for under 500 dollars. The reason I'm telling you this is because when you have the low frequency roll off switch all the way off its actually a pretty bassy microphone 🎤. When I use them to record acoustic guitar I have the switch in the center slat. Same on overheads. I would love to hear one recording those Flutes. Even though all your Flutes sound amazing with the 🎤s you use. Keep up the good content 👌🤙🤙🤙
Hello! That would work. There are a few tricks to get better recordings from a mic. The only issue is with every change you make may effect something down the line. I really like the 990 but for some instruments even the lowest quality full large diaphragm mic record better with less work. Cheers.
