I worked with Walt Disney. The day before the opening day of Disneyland he asked me to be a dancer for it. Knowing I was a perfomer he asked me and I said yes.
That’s amazing that with everything going down on the day before opening that he considered using his precious time of he himself personally hiring a dancer. Not that it’s not an important part of the show, just that you would think that he would leave dancer hiring to someone else.
Apperantly he wasn't as light hearted as he was on set. If you worked with him in the office he was no nonsense and very strict wouldn't even take a joke
Tommy Kirk - RIP - He's a champion within the Gay community. He was one of the biggest box office stars Walt Disney ever had on contract. As a young adult he tried to live his life as discreetly as he could but yet remain as true to himself and the values he believed in. However, he soon discovered that such strong convictions are frequently met with a boat load of resistance. His contract with Disney was not renewed and his acting career with other minor studios resulted in superficial parts which eventually reached a point of being virtually nonexistent. However. he still seemed undaunted by this outcome and proudly lived his life going forward on his own terms and conditions. He found love and happiness that would have likely escaped him if he not pursued the later path he set for himself separate from a high profile career in Hollywood. His memorable roles in film are a testament to his astonishing abilities as an accomplished child actor. We can only wonder what other memorable roles he might have played in the future . If he had only been able to pursue his acting career with quality roles as a mature adult as he originally intended.
It's BETTER! So many more colours and culture are represented to entertain the children of the world as well as the awareness of their LGBTQ+ following. They have evolved as we all must. Onward and Upward! 💚
I like how positive you are Michael but they have changed in some ways for the worst. For example, the greed has gotten disgusting. You can especially feel it in the parks.
@@officialmichaelcarrasco No it's not. When I take over Disney I will bring back the "What would Walt do?" mantra that governed Disney for decades after his death. Disney must learn its place in the world as nothing but an animation studio with some theme parks and under my rule it will. I'll be catering to the only fans who matter: Disney purists and traditionalists and only allow them in the parks. I will Make Disney Great Again.
I would be an imagineer if given the chance. I want to preserve the history and bring classics into the new age while educating. The PC environment and lack of patriotism is killing both the creativity and the company, which is why Universal is projecting an overall better future.
I boycott everything Disney now because the left has totally destroyed Walt Disney's legacy. I hate what the Disney executives have done to this once great family entertainment corporation that Walt Disney worked his dedicated tail off to achieve greatness. Sad, disgusting , and nausating to watch this destruction.
Let's just say that we've ended up in a time where the government is forcing people to take poison injections to work and feed their families, or they're sent to death. Doesn't feel like a better time than Walt's day
@@espoire_ Just ask any Jewish ex-employees of Disney Studios. BTW, did your parents refuse to allow your childhood vaccinations? (Remember the good ol' days of the iron lung?)
The Sherman brothers (who were jewish) put that nasty rumor to rest as did Floyd Norman, an african-american animator, who was hired by Walt himself, about Disney being racist. I have watched first-hand interviews with all of these men. Was Walt Disney flawed? Of course he was, who isn't?
