CJ Albertson doesn't train like other professional marathoners. In the lead-up to the 2022 Boston Marathon, he won the Modesto Marathon in 2:12 (despite being led off-course by the lead bike - so his 26.2 split on his watch was 2:10) and he did this super hilly 22-miler with two weeks to go until the big race. Last year, the Brooks Running-sponsored pro led the men's elite race for 21 miles and built-up a two-minute lead on the field. He ended up finishing 10th overall in 2:11:44.
What does he have in store for this year's race? This workout and his training on Strava clearly prove he's fit. It's one of the deepest elite fields in the 126-year history of the Boston Marathon but it's a race that has provided countless surprises in recent years. Could CJ be one of them?
