Dude! I've been tuning in since the little red kayak! I live in Central Florida and (used) to go wade fishing all the time in the Merritt Island Wildlife refuge but ever since the algae blooms that killed off the grass beds a few years back not so much. My first thought was to make brackets to attach the PVC to the open doors, then the stuff in the doors would be more accessible while,working in the shop and somewhat protected from rain while open. 🤔

one tip on doing power thread injection, get a bunch of small clamps/clips or even pins to secure the material around (not to) the wire or pipe for that whole edge. That way you are not fighting the material the item in the material and the thread injector. Kinda like clamping a piece of wood to another piece that you are going to drill or fasten together.

Lube your pole up before inserting.

I used almost the same tarp 16x30 for covering my rv. The shade was great. Unfortunately the UV made it very brittle within about 12 months.

I’m curious to know the added weight and the actual mobility of this project.

Any thoughts about building a platform so you don’t have to work directly on the ground?

set up table to support inline tables to support more of the canvas , guide from the back of the machine. Did you make your portable base?

You should use a metal pipe instead of pvc and it would be more ridged and less susceptible to wind and rain damage.

Can you work out a way to have the doors support the awning? That seems like an eligant solution and then you wouldnt need anything nearby to attach to.

Put you a wood dowel in the pvc and you won’t need a third anchor point in the middle

Marty I need to know how is it that you still look exactly the same as you did back in 2013. You haven’t aged a day since. What’s the secret? Is it living in Florida by the water? If so I need to find a way to buy some waterfront property down there lol
