So glad to see you back!!! What a strange strange year it has been...looking forward to your videos. I have learned so much watching you...you have given me confidence and inspiration with my carpentry projects. If you are opening a school of carpentry, I want to sign up!!! I live in southern middle Tennessee...above Huntsville. AL. I would travel any distance!!! Thanks for all you share with us and welcome back!!!
Thanks so much Denise! Yes, the Build and Breakfast is exactly that! Well, there will be all sorts of renovating/remodeling skill classes but I'll be doing "intensive, week(ish) long" courses which is why I want the "Bed" part of the B&B in my plan. I've got a little way to go before the classrooms are better set up. Then, I'll figure out how to invite people in -- while observing safe practices to keep us all safe during the Covid pandemic.
Welcome back! Been missing you. Glad to hear you've got the yucky stuff behind you and are on the verge of some fun projects in outfitting that building. Looking forward to seeing the transformation start happening. Be well. See you again soon.
Thanks so much Carolyn! I HOPE most of the really shocking issues are exposed and fixed. Though, I'm sure I'll have to keep fixing stuff over time. It's just about to the point where it's mostly fun and exciting! :-)
Good to BE back! LOL This year has felt a bit like groundhog day: find new water issue - fix it. Find new water issue - fix it... Yes, I'm looking forward to creating this space and inviting people IN - someday when it's safe be around people again. 😷
@@Sawdustgirl 😂 Oh yeah, groundhog day for sure. Even though I'm a landscaper and still get out, I've kinda been feeling it, too. 2020's been a mess, babe.
Welcome back! I was just watching some of your old videos and was concerned because you hadn’t posted in so long. Sounds like quite a year but glad to hear you are doing well. Cool to see the new shop. Best of luck to you! Can’t wait to see more videos. 👍🏼
Thanks! Yes it's been a looooooong time. I filmed this "hello again" video like a million times over the last few months but kept just deleting it. My word vomit kept being just too much. I hired my daughter to go through and edit this one -- the only reason I was finally able to publish! LOL ($50 well spent!)
Welcome back! I'm sorry you've had to deal with so many issues. It sounds like things are looking up again now so hang in there. It's exciting to hear of all the plans you have in the works. Wishing you all the best!
Good to see you back Sandra. Glad to here you are on the mend and I look forward to your future projects. Good luck with the new building. Seán in Ireland
Crossing fingers and hoping we are leak free and stay that way! Julie is almost done with her own house and then she'll be out here as my GC -- overseeing the addition to our home!
she's aliiiiiveeee ! glad to see you're back. i can see you have been taken to the limit but keep the spirit high (do as i say not as i do...pos '20 here). but you are so blessed come on! i will be waiting for the next vid. take care
Thanks so much. You are correct, my issues are definitely first world problems and I try to remember that when I start complaining. I have moments of great excitement when things are going really well. Now, as a new problem reveals itself, it's not quite as depressing - probably because I have a couple people coming out a couple days a week to help with stuff. When I tell them about an issue they tell me "we'll just deal with it - it'll be ok". And I believe them. :-)
@@Sawdustgirl hi sandra. was not my intention to rate the problems ! :D:D just send you good vibes. this year's being tough on everyone. my gf and i been watching your channel for some years now and we think you are a such a lovely gal. thanks again for sharing your journey. take care
Since you haven't posted on RU-vid for a while, I've been following you on your blog. You have gone through quite the transition between moving from the other home (did that sell yet?), surgery, a pandemic, and trying to get your shop in order. I look forward to see what adventures you show us in the future. Take care beautiful. :-)
Thanks for continuing to follow along! Yes, my Maryville house sold in December. (The papers were brought to me to sign at home since I was recovering from my surgery.) It's been quite a year - for sure. I'm feeling good about the progress that is starting to be made now. It's starting to feel like something that will be enjoyable someday. LOL
Aww … You took my name! Lol! No. I always say, “I have sawdust in my veins!” My dad was a builder, and I love this stuff! I wish he were still alive so he could show me how to use my tools!
Bienvenida Sandra, ya se te extrañaba, aunque no entiendo lo que dices las imágenes hablan por si solas. Sería genial tener subtítulos en español. Y abrazo desde Perú. Felicidades.
Thanks! I will look into how to get subtitles. I really want to learn Spanish (again) so maybe that will be a good thing for me to tackle (in my spare time)!
good morning miss powell, i'm planning of buying a gas cook top, and i need to build a cabinet with his countertop for that, do you have any video i can use for it?, is this Cabinet Building 101 eBook still available or do you have a new revision?, thanks
