As a former professional ballerina with The National Ballet of Canada, I so appreciate seeing your beautiful dancers. Ballet has stayed with me through the years, and helped me enjoy my life in a unique way! Dance on, always!
The way Paul the pianist plays for the pirouette exercise makes me feel like I can crank out eight pirouettes en dehors, even though in reality I can only eke out a wobbly double.
Decades ago, on my 40th birthday, I was in a professional ballet class, in Manhattan. This class reminds me of the thousands of barres I have stood at since age 6. The first plies were always a sacred moment of inner peace, love, calm and focused attention. Always with a pianist whose music carried the whole experience, best with Chopin, Shubert, Schumann. I do these classes from World Ballet Day in my head, as I watch. Only missing is the rain on the skylights and the cooing pigeons on the fire escape. Many thanks, via a grand Reverance.
Please keep the class videos open to public forever! 🙏 i really really want to use them as follow along classes for home practice the music and choreography is so beautiful!!!
Thank you so much for letting us watch you dance. My son 7y loves it. He loves dancing at the Agamemnonstraat with lady Sylvia. Seeing all you (especially men) dancing gives him so much encouragement for dancing. And my daughter 3y tries all your turns already. Thank you!
love to the dancers from Canada! i'm hoping to get back into ballet after stopping a few years ago and seeing all these talented dancers is so inspiring! thank you for this broadcast :)
Fabulous to see company class & a mini-preview of the Raymonda rehearsal…I’m so enthusiastic to see the production! And super gefeliciteerd met 60 jaar🎊🤍💐 - what a wonderful & exquisite ballet company!! Bravo 👏🏼

Greetings in your 60th Anniversary!! Every year I enjoy the classes from each on of the companies around the World!!! Is a very rich learning!! Thanks a lot!! Happy WBD from Costa Rica!
When you watch this ballet class, it becomes very obvious why Anna Tsygankova is thought of by many as THE prima ballerina of the Dutch Ballet, although not officially recognized as such.
I am not particularly familiar with the DNB dancers, but when I read your comment I thought you must mean the dark haired woman in all black with the hanging earrings - because I naturally can't watch anyone else when she is in the frame! They are all marvellous lovely dancers but she stood out!
Hi Norma Mimosa, happy reading your comment. I`m also a fan of Anna. She is often in Budapest -perhaps you know - making the great parts. The Budapests ballet people know why they want Anna! In Budapest is a great ballet tradition.
@@RelaxWithDog Yes, she had delicate hanging earrings - looked like pearls. She changed into a long skirt in the centre. Anna Tsygankova is one of the best dancers in the world, in my view. (Russian trained.) I am sure the Dutch Ballet won't mind if I insert this link of her rehearsing the Black Pas de Deux with James Stout starting at 24:57 from the Dutch Ballet's World Ballet Day 2018 feature. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LkbjvSCCU6o.html The Dutch Ballet is one of the best ballet companies in the world. Worth following.
One day, I would like to see not just the dancers, but also the putting together of a production, from the crew and people behind the scenes, the staging, lighting, the props, the set, the costumes, and of course the music and the musicians, everything that goes into putting together an opening day performance.
Hope the Dutch Ballet manages to change the libretto of Raymonda successfully, because it is a most peculiar ballet. Looking very promising. Young Gyu Choi! Yes!
Beautiful music...wonderful ballet master and very nice dancers ! Musicality make the difference in a professional ballet class and you guys are dancing OGNI NOTA SUONATA . BRAVI 😍

39:40. So who’s the hot hunk in the grey long sleeves and the white striped black leggings? I had to stop following along in the adagio just to check him out.
Charlotte is amazing! Great music too. Anna and Maia, lovely as always. In general, I really loved the energy of the whole group. Thank you so much for this! 🙏🏻✨
