Completely agree with that pre-competition mindset. I can't stand the thought of hanging out in your hotel room the day before a competition. I'd rather walk around and stay loose, much less stressful than keeping your mind on a looming competition.

Do you think that bench press has a greater affect on the throws that have a pushing motion (like shot put), or is leg drive more important and thus squatting will have a greater affect? I'm guessing both are very important but was wondering if you prefer how one translates to throwing (mainly shot put) over the other.
