I had the 2004 finals on a dvd when I was a kid and I probably watched it 50 times. This brought back memories

Adam Andersons win in Taz I think has got to be one of the best freestyles of all time. Legendary.

This was the REAL Monster Jam, not the joke that it is today. Drivers giving it all, no matter what, to win Racing and Freestyle, with unique styles that defined each driver and monster truck. Now, we have truck clones, the same tricks and boring tracks that all look the same. Whether it's Las Vegas or Detroit, Jacksonville or New York, it's literally the same: some ramps here and there, with something for backflips at the back end. Monster Jam today is a shadow of itself and I fear it will never reach the glory of the 2000s.

It’s refreshing seeing Medusa win and not everyone immediately talk about how much of a righteous woman she is for crushing the patriarchy or whatever. They just treat her like a champion. God I miss those days.

Monster Jam, when just a modern day small jump was considered a big jump.

The '04 World Finals has to be the most chaotic and carnage-filled I've seen. I love how they just left half the wrecked trucks out there on the track and I wish they'd do that again nowadays.

These freestyles brings back so many good memories, this version of Monster Jam was the reason I became a fan. Now I can't stand watching an event, I get that tricks are cool and that it takes skill, but the formula really great, so I don't get why they decided to change the formula.

2000: a sort of deserved victory (things were different back then) 2001: a deserved victory 2002: a deserved victory 2003: a deserved victory 2004: the triple tie wasn't deserved , the runs were short so they should've been scored lower 2005: a deserved victory 2006: sort of deserved victory (it could have been better) 2007: a deserved victory 2008: a good run, clearly enough for the judges, and in my humble opinion a deserved victory 2009: knowing the driver, it could've been better, but still a deserved victory 2010: a really well deserved victory 2011: a well deserved victory 2012: a really well deserved victory 2013: that didn't deserve to win 2014: a well deserved victory 2015: that didn't deserve to win 2016: that didn't deserve to win 2017: it could've been better 2018: a deserved victory in comparison 2019: deserved, but certainly not the best thing ever.

This was real Monster Jam. Ramps made of Car and Bus/Semi stacks, Fountains, Running over mobile homes. I miss it. While the giant air and backflips today might be exciting, half of Monster Jam today is just a balancing act

Massive throwback to when they didn’t shut down the trucks for the smallest of breaks on the trucks, and when drivers were allowed to continue past their given time in freestyle. What a time it was to be alive

I was at the Northern Nightmare win, and at the LAST MJWF in Las Vegas, I remember seeing freestyle, and Avenger hit the wall next to the back Grandstands, and he almost hit the crowd. Was amazing and I wish they kept it in Vegas.

Thank you so much for uploading this it’s fun to watch the golden era of monster jam freestyles again I remember when I started watching this when I was a young teenager and absolutely loved it and now I’m in my 20s and I hate what they done with this

World Finals 8, 9, 10, and 12 were the best in my opinion.

Edit: Jesus sorry this is so long 🤦‍♂️ Honestly one of my best memories as a 5 year old is when my dad ordered the Monster Jam World Finals 1 on Pay Per View in 2000. We sat on the countdown screen waiting with genuine excitement to see a large scale Monster Jam PPV like you would for a Boxing fight or for UFC. I even remember my dad getting his blood sugar tested and i asked my mom for it too only to cry when i found out you got poked with a needle lol. I distinctly remember holding onto my little "throbbing" finger (while crying) right as - *-The Very first race in World Finals history* starts, which was GoldBerg VS WCW Nitro An ironically fitting pairing to be sure, but also really nostalgic; because those 2 trucks are just so cool and old school dispite them *literally being licensed by a wrestling company.* Its probably my nostalgia goggles, but the 1998-2002 run was just a bit magical compared to anything later

I think 2004, 2005-2008 had the best in terms of the tracks.

Team Meents was such a nice design, and lasting only 1 year any merchandise is much more expensive at times. I love the design though

Isn't it crazy how of all 19 of the World Finals (as of 2018), only 6 of them were won by Anderson or Meents (2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2013)

14:00 when the money isn't the problem and you've already pretty much totaled the truck so it doesn't matter if u cook the engine aswell and go for a maximum destruction ;)

Newer monster jam may not have as much destruction as the old monster jam, but you’ve gotta admit the raw talent of the drivers and the engineering of the trucks is far improved nowadays.

My 4 y/o knows all the monster trucks names , he loves this.

Some rare events they do like for the all Star show they had cars and such but it may have changed but thank god it's one of the only sports that hasn't changed a ton like others

Why dont they even bring out cars anymore? When people think monster trucks, they think destroying cars I can kinda understand no more boxcars, but no cars?

watching this again makes me realize how awful the scoring at world finals 5 really was. lupe and madusa shouldn't have scored anywhere close to a 31, and even though tom did significantly better, it was definitely not worthy of a 31

How do you have Adam Anderson do an incredible freestyle in 2008, but then Air Force Afterburner does the most boring, simple time filler and end up winning in 2009?

I really feel Blue Thunder should've won at least one world title. In my opinion, Tony Farrell's run was better than Jimmy Creten's.
