Facts. I think Grave Digger needs to do different bodies from throughout the years for their 40th Anniversary. One Legend, One Original red Willys, One Grandma Digger, etc.
3:59 that almost made me cry, cause Dennis Anderson to monster jam is what dale earnhardt was to nascar. Edit: if anderson is earnhardt then createn is certain mark martin racing wise
Racing was always(still is) my favorite part of the world finals everyone loves freestyle but racing was the main event for me! freestyle was the bonus in my opinion
As of 2018, Tom Meents has been to the finals eight times and won six of those times. A Grave Digger truck (not counting The Legend or Son-Uva Digger) has made it to finals nine times (including WFXIX when two Diggers made it to the finals) and won five times. Bounty Hunter made it to finals five times and never won racing once.
Now, Tom Meents has won the 2022 Skills Challenge and Freestyle to became the 14x Time World Champion. Brandon Vinson won the 9th World Finals title in racing for the Grave Digger team in the most insane races ever in history.
its to sad that it is true so it cant be argued with 2013 was the last year along with parts of 2014 that seemed ok but you could sense/notice it was changing but not for the best
Isn't it crazy how of all 19 of the World Finals (as of 2018), only 7 of the Championship Races featured neither Anderson or Meents (2003, 2008, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018)
I’m on blue thunder nation too even though I like Goldberg/team Meents/max-d better I still like blue thunder though I remember back in 2014 when I went to my 1st monster jam show in Baltimore and I was 4 and I loved it so much and I loved blue thunder the most didn’t give a heck about any of the other trucks
Top 5 world finals championship races we never got that would have been cool 1.) WF2 or WF3 Goldberg (or Team Meents) vs Blacksmith Goldberg (or Team Meents) wins 2. WF6 Gunslinger vs Grave Digger Either one wins 3. WF9 Batman vs Maximum Destruction Maximum Destruction wins 4. WF12 Bounty Hunter vs Lucas Oil Crusader Bounty Hunter Wins 5. WF15 Grave Digger the Legend vs Iron Man Either one wins
@@Thunder103093 yeah, but if you noticed Brian hesitated in round 2 when he beat Predator, and Pablo was lightning fast when he beat Blue Thunder in the same round. If Blacksmith didn’t crash into the dumpster, he would have had lane choice against Brian in the semi finals, and he would probably take the left lane and win. So the final round would most likely have been Goldberg vs Blacksmith if Pablo didn’t crash in round 2
I didn’t notice that but the bigger reason why brian didn’t make it to the finals was the water pipe breaking causing racing to become u-turn, tom & pablo would be awesome too
Hey, At least Maximum Destruction and Batman meet in the finals at Minneapolis in 2009. If the gremlins didn't hit Tom at the wrong time he would've won his 8th world title in 2008 and gotten a rematch. So consider *THAT* that championship race that could've been. But as for Iron Man, Lee'o Donnell wanted a redo because the RII hit Max-D when Meents kissed the jersey barrier on Thunder Alley.
as of 2019 12 of the world championship victories were on the right lane, and 8 were on the left lane (7 if your not counting 2019 since it's not sam boyd stadium) and 5 of them had bounty hunter losing.
Anybody else notice an interesting pattern here? WF5 Grave Digger wins racing by beating a 1941 Willy’s named Blacksmith WF6 Grave Digger loses in the championship race WF7 Grave Digger wins the championship back by beating Bounty Hunter WF10 Max D wins racing by beating a 1941 Willy’s named Captain’s Curse WF11 Max D loses in the championship race WF12 Max D wins the championship back by beating Bounty Hunter
@@Thunder103093 also can’t help but feel bad for Bounty Hunter, he’s one of my favorite trucks. I was overjoyed when he won in 2019, but it still sucks that he won by a technicality with Bari red-lighting
+ThundertheDragon well think about it cause i wanted to do something pokemon related for a month but haven't found anyone yet. also we could do something RoR related to
i dont know how tom cheated when on the website of monster jam they posted that an official shut him off for no reason, guess people just dont want tom pushing his wins further even tho he can win 3 straight world finals and it be okay. TEAM MAX D ALWAYS
+MrGRAVEDIGGER24 that contradicts what the officials told the fans after Tom's 1st race with Lee O'Donnell, they told the fans that they would shut the trucks down if they hit the wall in thunder alley. Now they didn't tell ANY of the fans about that rule until Tom was shutdown which caused alot of confusion & multiple driver hit the walls thought racing & non of them were shutdown & Tom hit the wall in the Finals which sent him into the semi-trailer which sent him flying into the dirt hills. Not telling the fans about the new rule & only doing it 1 time when others did it with no problem is going to give us the optics that they were trying to help Tom win & we can't have rigging in Monster Jam. & to your other point, i don't give a fuck if Tom wins alot of the times, i really don't. The only problem is when the appearance of trying to helping Tom win by the officials was just unacceptable to us & thats why they booed him in the Finals
I love the fact when maxd crashed in the racing finals in 2014 "im glad that happened, i couldnt take that bullshit" XD it made me wheeze XD that was a good compliment but hes just fast and gets lucky i guess
In the previous round his RII somehow triggered in Thunder Alley and Lee O'Donnel won the round. The officials made the call to re-run the race because it "wasn't Tom's fault" and Max-D narrowly won. Lee was absolutely pissed in the interview and correctly pointed out that they never would have re-run the race if Iron Man had shut down instead.
They did in Europe, probably because 2 people died at monster jam events in January 2009 & i guess they thought showing it would harm them financially, acourse they are wrong to censor it & when they showed it in Europe, they explained why they have the lower seats covered up for that reason, thats what they should’ve had done here
@@Thunder103093 i know i had seen some offical footage of it by speed/feld instead of that one famous fan shot but i could never trace down to were it was from, i didnt know if it was a deleted/behind the scenes like wf1,2,3 had a b side and a side camera on each side right in the front row that mad the fresstyle and racing seem more realistic like you were there in person and weirdly enough had amazing audio were the trucks actually sounded good and like they do in person and didnt have any of the commentry other than the in stadium one from scott douglas and the track announcer
Back when Dalton Hastings used to upload the full dvd coverage of the Monster Jam World Finals until they're gone from existence P.S. If anyone saved backups for them, send me a Google drive link or maybe upload them on Internet Archive...
he didn't do anything. there was a "rule" for WF15 that if anyone hit the wall in Thunder Alley, they would shut you down. Now Tom was the only driver they did that to & they were other drivers that hit the wall that night that weren't shut down. So it came across to everyone that they were trying to bias Racing for him
Tim Horn oh I didn't know they didnt shut any other trucks down for hitting the wall I knew they shut Tom down that one time for hitting the wall racing against Lee
first of all monster jam was the one to do it not the max d team so dont blame max d or any other truck just for something that was not its fault (we dont know if its toms fault or the shitty officials)
