The builder of the titanic never said it was unsinkable. It was brought up by travel agents to sell tickets. Newspapers of the day said it was unsinkable. The water tight doors and bulkheads did not go all the way to the top. Water just went of the top.
You really needed a chapter devoted to the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918-19, the most significant event of the 1st quarter of the 20th century. Indeed many Americans & others consider it the major event of the entire 20th century.
This is a very informative video, however so few people have expressed their desire to watch it. That's why the mankind would keep making the same mistakes.
Is it just me or is my eyes playing tricks on me? But if you pause this at 13 mins and 41 seconds , they are specking about the Titanic and showing a photo of it on the bottom of the sea in which I paused it, and was looking at it. I can see a figure out line of a little child plus more faces....can anyone else see what I'm seeing?? Could it be spirits of those who died??? I took a photo of it with my phone while I had it paused.
Haha, Germany didn't want war? What history are you recounting. Germany had been building up its military strength for a long time and had numerous plans for invading France before 1914. Their whole culture was based on men being schooled for war.
Totally agree, I was about to write a comment about bullshit that Germany didn't want a war at 19:20 ... As soon as I seen this I shut this off. Once again GARBAGE being fed to people. Germans where looking for any excuse to stop the growth of Soviet Union military at the time as well.
@@dwaynerjublome2339 There was no Soviet Union at that time. It was the Russian Empire ruled by Tsar Nicholas II. The Soviet Union didn't come into being until Lenin seized power in 1917.
Like any other Nation Germany had military plans in case of war with a neighboring state or an alliance of states. This is simply the duty of any government. It was the general mobilization of Russia against Austria-Hungary and Germany end of july 1914 which triggered WW1.
@@rudolfkraffzick642 Any government's military has contingency plans stored somewhere on going to war with other nations, even the ones who are currently its allies. The U. S. probably has contingency plans for a hypothetical war against Canada, Mexico, and Britain, I am sure. More often than not these are considered little more than military exercises to keep the planners in the military alert and sharp, but the plans do exist. And the plans for war against powers that are more likely foes in a real war are much more detailed and numerous.
I never heard of it but I noticed world rulers have a habit of controlling Human populations seemingly around the clock! The only thing they love more than killing commoners, is when they can get commoners killing commoners...
The British are totally responsible for the loss of life on the Lusitania - it wasn't just a passenger ship - the Brits were shipping arms on that ship and it was proved in the late 1970s when explorers discovered the ship. This wasn't mentioned here.
Yes, they'll wonder what WERE (not was) we thinking when some idiots refused to take a vaccine that could've saved their lives? What fools those idiots will look like then!
It was the British attacking Turkey in WW1 which led to better outcomes for the Armenians and nothing the Americans did at all, conveniently not mentioned in this video.
