That helicopter that was shown in the trailer, in the actual mission, its a decal on the battlefield and it sits EXACTLY where it landed, scorch marks and everything.
mr beast there are copies on disc you can probably buy from certain stores or on eBay and maybe even buy a digital somewhere you’d just have to probably look it up
The smoke from the flares and the SAMs at 1:19 looks like a winged angel or eagle battling a beast with several tendrils. They did an amazing job with this trailer.
I remember watching this trailer like 50 times when I was 11 or 12 in 2007 thinking it was the greatest thing, this was my favorite game for the longest time and I really just wish I knew where the CD's still were. Playing online with everyone was a great time too, ah the memories.
Its rather horrifying and a mood whiplash to see a bunch of soldiers cheering and readying for conflict, only to see them all get completely wiped out in the next moment. Months of training, armed with the best the US has to offer, and dying without even seeing the enemy.
It's not even close to being accurate. While USSR might have been able to take Europe, they couldn't cross either Atlantic or Pacific ocean. Still one of the best strategy games ever made though.
@@Kuhndog94 our navy could've been mostly distracted elsewhere while the chinese, russian, and north korean ships harassed and kept what ships we did have in the pacific busy.
@@UgandanAirForce well the plot in the game mentioned that the US 6th fleet in the Mediterranean was wiped out in the first clash with the Soviet Black Sea fleet.. So it's possible that the USN directed more ships from the Pacific to reinforce Europe.. The remainder of the Pacific fleet were busy keeping the Chinese fleet in check.. China and Soviet Union did not split up in the Game.. So that's why its possible in the game for the Soviet to slipped through, and invaded Seattle through cargo ships..
Hands up all who play World in Conflict occasionally. One of the best RTS games ever made. Let’s keep the hopes for a Remake/Remaster, would give signs for possible sequels. Give us something, Ubi. The Division’s going down anyway.
my favorite thing about this game is that they actually treated the soviet military like a serious threat. Not a bunch of bumbling morons but an incredibly dangerous military. Too many games depict the soviet and russian military as garbage when in fact they are an extremely formidable threat. Fantastic game.
Aussiescotsman In a lot of games I play single and/or multiplayer... mainly multiplayer.... but we lose most of our matches to the Soviets doesn’t matter whether we r USMC, British, Chinese, or insurgents. The soviets may have focused on quantity rather than quality but don’t let that fool u, we always faced overwhelming firepower from Soviets compared to US blitzkrieg strategies. Our morale usually drops whenever we’re setup against them cuz we all know how powerful the actual Soviet military was compared to most other video games
Why are we talking like the Soviets and Russians arnt the same thing? Now one thing I can say Is that Russa has gotten a lot stronger with their quality of military hardware vs the Soviets that just threw men into battle
Shaorune Nautilus hmmmmm, true. But I don't think they would buckle up because during the attack, once they land, they must quickly hop out before the chopper takes off in battles. You know.
Man, I got this game back in 2014 ( Doesn't feel that long ago) I played it and loved it. I felt invested in the game a ton. This is a game that deserves a remaster or a sequel. I remember right after the nuke, The game bogs down for a bit.
Warfighter 31 well the studio is still active but ever since being bought by Ubisoft mostly all of the original creators of this game left because they didn’t want to work with them
@Aesthetic Teen Im quite sure Massive still has plenty of people who used to work with this game....but ye obviously after they were acquired by Ubisoft, they didnt let Massive to make sequel for this or another RTS game, since the whole genre is even more niche than it once was.....yes there are gamers still out there who would welcome more RTS games but this, but when there is more money to be made out of games like The Division, its very unlikely that Massive would return to make RTS games, let alone sequel for this game.
After watching this again in many years, just noticed that the other rocket trails go off and explode into the city. I thought they were just firing at choppers in other directions. Love seeing new details that I missed!
It's sad, I would have loved a sequel. But with Ubisoft having the reins. We probably won't get another. I'm not even sure where a second game would take place. The first was mostly in America with a few parts in Europe. I can see some parts of a new game being in America. But I imagine maybe Asia. I'd love to have Japan be the main character. It would be interesting. How the game would deal with Japan's army being for defense only, and over time the army expands into what could be called an offensive army. Dealing with North Korea, China. and Russia would be very interesting. I'd also just love seeing a story about a communist invasion into Japan and Japan's fight against the invaders.
