The funniest thing about all this is that Metaxas wasnt Democratic at all. The 4th of August regime was as Fascist as Mussolini's Italy The Greeks gave the fascist salutes, they had the black shirts, they had the Metaxas youth called the EON, they had monthly publications that uttered the words Hail Victory. Ironic how these historical facts are all buried during OXI day.
