Women must step up and seize opportunities to play governing roles around the world because they are under represented in most countries, said Mu Sochua, prominent Cambodian lawmaker. The former minister of women's affairs took part April 12 in the 10th Annual Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards in Washington DC. She said many women around the world are growing from grass roots activists to be leaders in their societies. The interview was conducted at the Voice of America studios with VOA Khmer's Kimseng Men.
