Today we are taking a trip to a local museum and exhibition gallery, the brilliant World of Glass Museum in St Helens Merseyside. Take a trip through time and relive life in the last century.
Find out about the properties and history of glass, look through periscope and microscopes, and play with lenses to change the colours in light.
Be amazed by the live Glass blowing demonstration in one of the largest glass blowing studios in the UK. Browse the gift shop filled with little gems or perhaps buy a bespoke glass item.
The cafe is a beautiful space, light and airy with a glass wall which looks onto an outside terrace and the canal, a must visit at the end of your visit for teas, coffee's, meals and snacks all at reasonable prices.
The museum is a registered charity, entrance to the museum and all the galleries is free, there is a £4.50 entrance fee for the glass blowing demonstration but it's well worth it.
A special mention to the amazing staff who were so friendly and very helpful, many of which are unpaid volunteers.
Enjoy your visit.
