This was a real surprise... and a gift that I desperately needed in my life right now. When it all turns to crap and we can see our own expiration date... things like this are truly what what cherish and want more of!! This is the stuff that makes life enjoyable. I never did make it out to the UK and looks like chances are that won't. But I just wanted to let u know just how much of a big fan I have been!! You have kept me entertained for years!! Jingles, the TOG has electric motors which gives it infinite torque. It’s top speed is “slow” but the tank will keep doing that top speed over and through anything it comes across. Not even the Panzer IV or the T-34 could move up a 45 degree slope at the speed the TOG could. Furthermore the TOG was designed with modular armor in mind, and was actually supposed to be 114mm thick on the front and sides, though this could be upgraded further. You have the Tanks of TOG book, could you please read it?

I was bored and decided to look up the P.43's stats, and they're actually pretty good, certainly better than my own. That leaves us with two conclusions. Either he disconnected only to find himself alone against our unstoppable TOG when he reconnected, or the account has changed hands by being sold, or a friend/child is playing it and they can't perform to the level of the previous owner.

Idk why, but it feels like the TOG is somehow a perfect and natural antidote to the WOW carrier gameplay rn. I can’t explain this feeling, but it feels like this is the wholesome end of the spectrum and WOW carriers are...the other end

Jingles, something isn't right there... I have played with and against Rengo_ (the P.43 player on the enemy team.) on the NA server. I don't particularly like the guy, but he's a damn sight better player than what I saw in the video. He's no super unicum, but he is well above average and not a stat padder either. (1600 wn8 and lots of upper tier vehicles). I wonder if he dc'd or had to go afk for real world stuff? I wonder what gives...

Jingles I’m very disappointed. None of the German tank generals got their ideas from basil Liddell-Hart. Liddell-Hart just got Guderian published on the proviso that Guderian stated he got his ideas from him. If you study Liddel-Harts pre war tank tactics.....they are idiotic. He began to discuss three types of tanks equating them to the navy. You would have fast mobile lightly armed and armoured tanks (destroyers) to act as scouts. Cruiser tanks to act as fighting fleets and infantry tanks (battleships) slow heavily armoured tanks to back the infantry. Basically his theories ignor3d the inter connectivity of infantry and armoured forces and completely ignored air power. Then you read deeper and his entire thinking ignores things like hills and cliffs and mountains and trees and most importantly rivers.....you know things that make life really hard for tanks. Liddell-Hart and his ilk are the reason British tank design from 1920-1942/3 was so god damned bad.

I used to have one back in the day, but got ridiculed TOO much, so I sold it o.0 Then the Hot TOG came out, and just before, you and QB did that TOG weekend, where the matches were spammed by other TOGs i.e. 15 versus 15 TOG battles xD , but I missed out... HOwever, the TOG became a avail, and didn't cost a lot, so I got it, along that this new skin ;) Depends, some game you can kick some serious ass, and like you said, sometimes it's a hp pinata o.0

Best possible World of Tanks "prank" they could do... "TOG Day!" where everyone's TOG get's HUGE powerboost and for just 24 hours we can zoom them around the map like a Chaffee! What a fun day that would be.... Hint... This would make a GREAT April fools day event....

On TOG II's armament: I find the choice to mount 17-pounder (in Real Life, in WoT it makes perfect sense) a bit confusing. TOG was mean to smash fortifications, and the relative lack of ability of the 17-pounder's HE shell was pretty well known. Surely they would've wanted something a bit more generalist - I could see you arming TOG I with a 6-pounder and re-arming it with a 75mm (either ala Churchill IIINA or with a 75mm QF), but the 17-pounder seems an odd choice for something that, in a way, was meant to smash the Siegfried Line. They had other guns in service - maybe if the program continued, they'd have mounted the 94mm AA gun in - but why they didn't go with the 25-pounder (which could match the 75mm M3 for armor penetration and had a superior HE shell to boot) for TOG II given its intended job is beyond me.

Wait, there's actually a TOG II at Bovington? I'm going there immediat-...as soon as the lockdown ends!

I've owned thr TogII with every profile currently on xbox One Cursivesphere22 Yes I own a highly decorated TOG II with a seriously fantastic crew Led by LT. Evelyn Johnson. Love that old beast.

A joke I make in-game is that folks need to read more Sun Tzu - esp the chapter on out-numbering your enemy i.e. at least 3-1 odds ;) I still see SO many players yolo into an opponent one by one, and sometimes not as a group, unless there's one tank left or so, then they all wolf pack/gang bang the leftovers o.0

Way back in 2013/14, when they announced they were pulling the TOG II out of the store, I made a point of buying one. Unfortunately, with the way life worked out, I never got the chance to play it much, before WoWS kicked off and started claiming all my free time - the last time I logged into WoT, was 3 or 4 years ago, during Christmas, to claim my "free garage slot". Have they ever brought the TOG II back for sale since then?

Nah, TOG is best tank, TOG has 100% winrate because TOG always wins. Our hearts, our souls, our minibar in the back, the dancefloor on top and the dogs hanging their heads outside of the Sponson-hatches, all things TOG won with. Except the angry French chef we forced into the back but he's just angry the C2 had more Escargot in the fridge.

I remember when I got the TOG II for my Birthday when it got introduced into the game, and then a month later of taking a break from WoT's and came back, I've found that my account got hacked and my TOG II including my other premium's/tech tree tanks were gone, probably sold since I had tons of credits then I had before...sad times..this was many years ago, but whenever I see a TOG II replay I get good memories of playing in the Hot Dog Tank lol...It's always nice to see the Great, The Mighty, The Great Mighty Hot TOG! :)

Hey, this tank has Tier VIII Hit Points and a gun that shreds the frontal armor of Tier VII Heavies. Now, it won't face any tanks about Tier VI. All you need is a team that understands you have to provide cover to the TOG II to keep it from being swarmed by the enemy (which tends to happen because the TOG II is so slow compared to most tanks). It's better than the TOG I, which is the TOG II with a really weak gun. Also, the TOG/TOG II didn't have a transmission. It's engine runs a generator that in turn ran the electric motors which powered the tracks.

Props to the enemy Arty that didn't dbag out and went shotgun mode like a boss. Doesn't matter he died, it matters he tried.

Actually, Jingles... The first time the Germans started using 88 anti-air gun against tanks wasn't in Russia... It was in France, when they encountered Matildas... And it was the idea of one Erwin Rommel...

Equipment 2.0 was the biggest buff to the TOG. It will benefit greatly from the turbo charger. It doesn't seem he was using one, though...

interesting fact, the tog got a massive frontal armour buff in the mobile version of wot, being wotblitz the front plate going from 76 to 135mm in thickness and basically everything else on the front doubling in thickness as well

TOG II is the perfect tank to learn how to play WoT in, IMO. It has enough HP to allow a player to last long enough in a battle to actually try to learn anything. Before I bought and played the TOG II, my WoT experience was drive forward a little, try to find some cover, 1-2-3 dead by someone I never saw. Not enjoyable, and which did cause me to quit the game for a while. Then I bought the TOG, and was able to last long enough to actually learn something in most games.
