World of Tanks || Kanonenjagdpanzer 105 - worth it? 

This is how WG should make money. This tank is not op and you can pay extra for a sweet paint job that does not affect gameplay. And the fact that the owners of the 90mm version can trade it in is simply awesome. People should stop complaining and give WG some credit for finally listening to the community. The only thing we have against this release is the fact that it's yet another tier 8 premium tank. And there are plenty lf premium german TDs in the game as it is.

Whatever this tank can do, the Skorpion G can do better. Excuse me, the Russian TDs can do better.

I think it's totally fine the paint job is locked behind a paywall. If anything this is exactly how WG should make money.

This is my favorite tank in all my TDs. Here are the reasons. 1.Thanks to its great camo, although TDs have -50% camo penalty while moving but this tank will be a great scout when all LTs and MTs in the both sides are out. Playing this tank makes me feel like playing a medium. 2.Very good shell speed with default APCR, makes you easier to hit ELC and EBRs. 3.Great moving speed. 4.With V-scope, you are also a good passive scout, my assist damage is often more than my total damage. 5.This tank really helps you to learn every different tanks' sight, you will learn a lot of about sight controlling which would makes you becoming a better player.

Well remember, we don't there to be anything like the Scorpion G again. So when I see the gun's improved over the old, but not Scorpion level, then I rejoice and say yay, good job.

As I have the E25 and the Skorpion G I bought the basic version. In my opinion after 20 battles, I can say the following: when you are bottom tier the high pen is a big plus, so for the gun performance I would reccomend it! *** flexibility is probably somehow the weak point: in urban area you struggle to find a good position; the lack of armor doesn't allow you to sustain damage. * on big open maps that provide you cover, you can be really deadly as the camo paired with the gun is the real strengh of the tank! **** Money : is Always ok as long as you are able to do at least 1K damage. even if you lose the battle, you still earn silver.*** fun factor is very depending on map and team play. ** final advice: buy it only if you have a good crew with 3+ skill ! NB on the contrary of QB I use camo net instead of vents. It bring up the camo value to almost 64%. very useful on small scale maps like mines, paris, etc.

Isn’t the Cda 105 the most obvious comparison? It seems to come up short there.

First battle killed 5, did 2700 damage and made over 120K credits with premium. Yeppers. Worth it especially at the 50% off if you have the 90mm version.

Nice vid QB, may have missed a trick in not comparing the vehicle to the CDA 105 though? This new version of the Kanonenjagdpanzer seems very similar to it, though I feel the CDA outclasses it in more ways than the other way round.

12 Seconds for a 105 cannon with 390 Damage. While Mediums reload that for 8 seconds. Totally dishonest review.

Over here on the NA server, every package for the Kanonen 105 includes the black panther camo style. On the other hand, the barebones package is $47.99, which is equivalent to €41.70 or £36.89 at the current exchange rates. I don't know whether the other packages on NA are more expensive than their EU equivalents, and I don't care enough to check.

It is actually grate that you have to pay more for the black panther. I have no idea how ppl don't think that's a good idea. It's selling skins! Best way to not make the game pay to win.

I complain about WG when they mess up (a lot ) so must give them props when they do something right, no idea on the tank or original (never interested me as I had 2 premium German TD's) but the switch over deal looks a good one with the couple of options.

This is what a German T8 prem td should be. Not brokenly op and looks so sexy especially with the camo. And why does qb seem to be complaining that this isn't as op as the skorp, shouldn't we all be happy

238 pen is not bad per se, it’s the alpha and premium rounds that let the standard down. For example 238mm is still enough to go through the upper plate of the Jagdtiger 100% of the time from that angle

This thing doesn't need to fire gold to pen like the 90mm and can actually hide, unlike the scorp. It's the perfect blend of stats.

BTW. The successors of the KJpz were called Panther 1 and 2. That's probably the reason for the camo

As somebody who owns both the Skorpion G and the Kanonenjagdpanzer 105 (and sucks at the game): The 105 is fun, lots of fun actually, with its mobility and the 390 alpha, but it's not as good as the skorpion with the monstrous 128mm. And i think they did okay with the special paintjob thing on the 105. Boy how i wish i had the Skorpion without that ugly special paintjob...

I agree with QB that this represents a good deal for existing owners of the original TD and that surely the black cat camo should be included with the £33 standard edition which my son decided to purchase. I decided to purchase the updated version at the 50% discount & interestingly managed to outperform my son when in a platoon with him using the 105mm and myself using the 90mm. He is a better player than me so I found this surprising. I would recommend either version if you like the glass cannon TD gameplay style.

Here on the NA there is no barebones option, Black Panther only plus bundle stuff starting at $47USD and going up all the way to almost $100USD. No way. I'll buy it if they offer just the tank, no frills.

So, in short, the Kanonen 105 is a Leo 1 with a DPM nerf and no turret at tier 8, but has a camo buff. Interesting. Also, you only need a 212 pen for a 50% chance at penning the Tiger 2's frontal hull unangled, and a 246 mm pen gun for a 50% at around 30-40% of angling (the Jgtiger has the Tiger 2 chassis). Nothing to concern for a tier 9 or 10.

As I've watched on QB's channel, he said that the early beginner-friendly tank is the KV-1. I already have it. And I'm loving it. So... my question is, which HT line should I go for?

If someone is asking..., why does the KanJPz so high HEAT vellocity, it is beacuse it is a coldwar tank... It has got the "modern" HEAT shell...

Why not just buy the original KJPz now and then immediately trade it in for the new one? That way you get the new one plus camo for [I assume] a fraction of the standard price. I don't know how much the 90mm costs now but I would assume it's less than £33.

well what i cant understand is why did not everyone think the original kanone was not an OP TD, yes i know the gun was crap but it fired fast, it has good speed and good canno,, there is another TD that has good speed good cammo but a crap gun that fires fast and everyone thinks its OP yes its the E25 wish ppl would make their minds up on what is OP

I never had the original Kanjpz to be honest but I do have the Skorpion G and I think I'll keep it that way, a turret always makes a difference.

I changed my old one against the new and i am very happy. Sure it's no Scorpion but it's so much better than the old one. The penetration helps so much and the alpha too. That was a good change. :)

Meh, took one of these tanks out last night like butter with my old Jagd 8,8 using standard rounds. Not impressed at all.

I managed to grab one of these for 16£ with the camo and a couple of x5 missions. I'm gonna keep both. My Germans TD crew is the highest, Ferdinand female crew

The 90 mm has high pen on the high explosive rounds. Nobody seems to talk about it in the videos

The best way to do this would have been to have both guns on the 105 and let the owners have it for free. But this is not a bad way to handle it either.

Wish WG would of done this with the Skorpion before they turned it into a Tier 8 Premium. And gave it the name Skorpion G, also would like to see that tank destroyer get paint & different camo, the tan is alright but turret terverse really sucks when you're surrounded by medium and light tanks.

For old owners, this is quite a buff If the gun was not RNG and unreliable plus a bit more of HP and camo it would be awesome and slight reload buff But a fair trade no less

I wish the game was a bit more balanced for newer tanks players like myself, having it based on tank power instead of player skill is like putting a high school football (soccer) team in the FIFA world cup, and thinking they're on an even playing field because they use the same cleats. Not only do advanced players have greater skill when it comes to angling and tank placement, but they also have advanced crews which gives their tanks significant advantages to newer players who don't even have the crew options unlocked yet. A simple idea would be a ranking system based on a few key points; Win/loss ratio, kill/death ratio, # of games played, crew skill, and wether or not the player is using premium rounds. Using those parameters, players would have a choice of several difficulty modes unlocked: (beginners) novice tanker, (amateur) battle hardened, (elite) war master The game would run the same as it does now with the tier trees balancing out the tanks, but the added player skill balancing would ensure players are always on an even playing field with each other. Noob players would have an easier time learning the ropes, while advanced players would have a greater challenge facing opponents of equal skill. This would also allow stronger players to use lower tier tanks without worry of "seal clubbing" weaker players. Maybe I sound like a bitch but I just think a little player balancing might make it feel like its less daunting of a task to learn how to play

So, what will eventually happen to the old version of the tank? Will they phase it out after that 2019 date? What happens after that date to the older version of the TD ?

Yep nice video !! WG seems to be learning from the last buyout debacle no Russian trade in here. But 20quid for a sticker mmmmm. They have just had those camo paint sales it was £6:50 for two exclusive designs which seems a lot fairer to me than a £20 pussycat. I hope they relaunch the E25 with 105mm 250 pen gun lol

I had the e25 before and bought this now ..I only played the e25 for the fun factor . The kanonenpanzer 105 is almost as fun ,the gun in great ,the mobility is great ,speed ,cammo,etc but 0 armor so stay hidden and you make alot of credits ;)

Get yourself the Arachnid instead. It's tail is far more deadly than this thing's nose. However I commend Wargaming for not releasing another oveepowered tier 8.

For the average to above average player is likely to have lower than normal win rates in this tank for the reason of being bottom tier hell to 3-5-7 75 to 90% of the time and the view range saturation negating the camo. Doesn't help that the maps suck so no freedom of place nor freedom of movement so no fun allowed which is so typical these days.

The Skorpion is broken - way too OP. I have/had the original kjpanzer and immediately put it up to swap; I think I will have a decent td which will fit better into the game than the Skorp. As QB said, there is a reason why the original Kanonjp is being upgraded, and there is also a reason why the Skorpion is the most popular tank in WoT. If you want pay to win, get a Skorpion - if you want a German td that will reward good ambush sniping, get the 105.

you forgot to compare it to the AMX CDA 105, i was looking forward to seeing your comparison of those 2 since they are both tier 8 but from the looks of it, this looks like another paper tank.

Crew trainer for what? E25 or Hetzer? You need for all 2 Loaders min. and this papertank has only 1 and a radioman is nessary seperate on TD's. The KanJP is not a crewtrainer for any kind of German hightier TD vehicles.

Well, gl if an E25 wants to ram ya full speed. The Skorpion has a woping 40 t! I remember once an E25 bounced like 10 shells of my upper plate (30mm is actualy quite decent) and ramned me full speed. What happed? He killed himself from full HP and I lost like ~260 HP. GL with that in the KJPanthers

The jg pz4 is the only tank i have 3 marks on. With better mobility, i think the kanonenjagdpanzer should be a tank for me

I seem to remember this TD was substandard in just about every way compared to the other German Tier VIII TDs. Also I have only seen the original played twice this past year. And both were wallet warrior donkeys.

Why not compare it to the AMX CDA?? It is the closeest tank to it, with small differences in speed, armour and gun handling.

After 500+ battles in my Skorp G, I will not feel comfortable in this TD. The Skorp will be my first choice hands down everytime

Vs even the CDA 105... I can't say I've been impressed of the few I've seen today. Nor has any of the other reviews of it I've seen ended up with a recommendation of the tank on it's own. Just over the old 90mm.

I was looking at it and thought that it could work, then i realised you can't train a full tier 10 german td crew in it.
