I just wanted to take the time and say thank you for not only this video, but all your videos. As a "noob" to WoT , I fell victim to "get the Lowe" to start making credits, and while I was, boy I sure seem to get killed real easily and I wasnt making the amount of credits I thought I would with this tank, and after your review, I now know why. Misplaying the tank, not understanding its weakness and strengths. I am now putting into practice your tips on how to play this tank. . Thanks for taking the time to do these videos and making me a better tanker! Tally Ho!
My Lowe was actually a gift from my friend who is a great player. I always feel self conscious driving it because I am only at 2K battles and I have alot of room for improvement. The last thing I want to do is cost my team a defeat because I dont know how to properly drive my tank. Thanks for the tips Jingles!
Killjoy I call it the ST-1 and I get constant shit because "It's the ST-i!" Guess what happens when I call it the ST-i? That's right, I stop giving a shit. :p
Every time when me & my platoon mates see a Löwe on our team or the enemy team. We always writes in the chat. Löwe is in the air or Löwe hurts. Referring to the songs With John Paul young & Nazareth. :D I remember one time I wrote "Löwe is in the air" to a Löwe driver on my team, waiting for the countdown. His answer was. -Now I cant get that song out of my head. But of course. I respect the Löwe. Its a good tank. Thank you Jingels for another great review.
Blast from the past. I haven't played my Lowe much, but in the few games I've played it, I have witnessed its potential. It can be quite effective as it's easily one of the most underestimated tier 8 premiums. Thanks for the review!
I love the idea of him going back to review old tanks!!! Especially ones you skipped their reviews like the SU-122-54 or the entire french heavy line!!! Please and thank you
I have played world of tanks for a year or so, I have 3 teir tens but before I ever drive a tank I read and watch videos on it to find its weak points and strong points plus its always good to know how your tank performs before you take it into a battle.
andrew blankenship In PC version, we have a tier 3 Pz4A, tier 4 Pz4D, and Pz4H replacing the tier 5 you may be familiar with Check out wotdb.info for a tech tree based on the current PC release
andrew blankenship I play on xbox also but on Pc they have multiple version of the Panzer 4. www.wotdb.info/#country=germany use this website the wot wiki stopped updating.
in my opinion the is-6 is better for open, flat ground, the löwe is better for city maps and the t34 can be used in any circumstance, as long u can stay hulldown. But that shouldnt be a problem eiter on openfield or in a city map. T34 is the way to go, i think!
bad question. Never compare premium tanks based on their moneymaking potential. Because if so, then Jagdtiger 88 is definitely the best choice (makes the best money considering its cheap ammo and VIP matchmaking). Always choose premium tanks on what heavy line you grind / play the most. Because if you buy an IS-6 or T34 or Löwe and you won't use them train your heavy tank crew and use them only to make money, you're doing something wrong.
Thank you Jingles, i was thinking to buy the T34 because i'm new at this game and i don't play a lot because i have to work, and as i can see, i'm not prepared to drive a Tier 8 Heavy Tank. Thank you.
At the 18 minute mark my hand shot up like a speeding bullet. Try playing this game on Xbox with the idea that your team will help you and you'll always be disappointed. Also the idea that this tank is a wallet warrior favorite has easily transitioned to Xbox as well. Most Lowe drivers haven't got clue number 1.
I can agree with this. I was playing my Comet and was unfortunate enough to get Malinovka assault, I spawned on the hill, and immediately a friendly panther pushed me off, tracking me and getting me spotted. That was all the Panther did all game.
FINALLY JINGLES... The Lowe review, I have waited so long for this review to come up and I want to thank you for putting it up after all. The next tank, that you could possible review, would be the T-34-3, back in the day you also said that that tank review will come out soon, but, unfortuanly, that never happend.
I remember in one of his video last year, regarding the T-34-3, he deemed it as "total shit" & will not do a full review on it. Personally, Type 59 is a better choice because of its better armor(turret+hull armorwise) and higher DPM (unless u're willing to wait 15 seconds to fire, without a gun rammer+vents), Thats if u're planning on training ur chinese MT crew but this is just my point of view. :)
I wish that I could buy that Type59 but I do still like the T-34-3 tho, I own that one. The only bad things about that tank, is the extremely bad gun depression and weak side armor... If there was a way to get my money back for that tank and spend it, rather on something like the super-pershing, that would be great.
Yup, that was me. My first premium tier 8 when i first got into WoT and was playing tier 4s. I'm now at over 700 games in it and its definitely still one of my favorites, especially since the buff.
Going down the valley CAN work on Lakeville encounter but it requires a blitzkrieg type tactic to simply overwhelm the defenders on that side (or using something like a Maus as a linebreaker to absorb punishment while the rest of the team springs out from behind him, which I have done in my Maus) and then quickly surge into the town. However for the blitzkrieg to actually work you need friendly tanks that can tie up enemy tanks in the town long enough for their allies to sweep up behind them. So basically it requires teamwork, which you can never, ever rely on in random battles.
I am one of the noobs that bought the Lowe, but I really rather like it and I'm gradually getting better in it. I realised as I first began to advance hat games were quite different from the lower tiers and I wanted a tank I could get to learn the styles of higher tier games. I was sick of playing lights all the time, then some REALLY bloody awful Mediums & Heavies in T3-5. The first couple of games I was truly shit, but - if you pay attention, you learn from your mistakes. Buying this tank taught me to read the comments of others and to watch play videos. I first watched this about a week after purchase and now, some months later, it's nice to watch it again and sometimes think "Duh, of course" about some play suggestions. Cheers Jingles, hope I get to see you in game sometime,
The Lowe was supposed to have an armor thickness of 140 mm along with a 150mm Kwk 44 L/40, L/38 or L/37 this was supposed to be the redesigned version of the Lowe. Don't know much speculation there is of this but the Lowe had third design where it mounted a 21cm Mrs18 and had it's armor increased from 140mm to 200-300mm and a Maybach 1750hp gasoline engine.
The brake force (value in Newtons) is high because its a heavy tank. But this does not mean it will stop fast. You need break force/weight to judge that (value in Newtons/ton).
You can side scrape when someone else is. Just treat their tank as the wall and side scrape off that. It's a bit harder, but not impossible. Just make sure to give them enough space to back up.
I'm missing the tip of how to use your gunmantlet in to good use in shielding off your cupola. If u elevate your gun the gun mantle is covering your cupola. If u are in a hulldown position or facehugging and u see your target aiming for the cupola, raise your gun. If u see them aiming for the turret ring (which is now exposed) lower the gun. The gun mantle will bounce shot after shot. Most tanks won't be able to put easy shots into you when facehugging due to the lack of depression however the Löwe can put easy shot on weakspots on the top of other tanks. For example the Turret roof of an IS-3. Facehugging works very well for me.
I got my Lowe when I was at tier 6's (CC seven, Nashorn and M4 E8 & Jumbo) but I tried my best to learn the tank and after about 50 battles, my WR became decently adequate.
Something to help the panzerfuhrers that start driving the Lowe. Play it as a Sniper. If u can hide the lower hull u have aproximatelly 200 of effective armor on the upper glacis (tested the upper frontal armor against a T29 piloted by a friend and 7/10 shots bounced, rest penetrated probably due to a higher penetrating roll) and a little bit of angling can increase it even more. If u can go hull down and only expose the turret u can count on it bouncing shots or the mantlet eating the shots, although high penetration guns can penetrate the turret cheeks right next to the mantlet aswell ( tier X tank destroyers can penetrate the turrets spaced armor aswell as the armor behind it, u can occasionaly even bounce them) as the turret ring right under the mantlet (120 of armor wih some rounded sloping). Another good tactic is sidescraping, with 100mms of side armor u have a good chance agains tier VIII armament, turret is on the middle of the tank sort of soo reverse sidescraping is questionable. Lower glacis is the bane of this vehicle, most tier VI guns can penetrate with ease. Remember the repair skill first on the Lowe, an immobile heavy is an easy target. Good tank to play and very rewarding when played right hehe (:
I am wondering if you will do a review for the American Tier 5 Premium T14? I know there are others that have done it. Yet I just want to hear your view of the tank. It is an interesting tank in my view. I typically treat it like a big Medium...as it kinda of is. At least to me.
You could take a look at the Easy Eight and ponder it's relevance now that similar tanks like the Cromwell are competing in the fast and maneuverable, high DPM mid-tier medium tank ring.
I love my Löwe. It's great for training up my Tiger II's crew on the double crew exp weekends, plus it plays somewhat similar to the KT, albeit a bit slower and with a more trolltastic turret, plus the superheavy spall liner. Is a bit strange that it doesn't get premium matchmaking, but it's still good enough to make me not care as much that I got run over by an E-100.
Jingles, could you review the SU-122-44,I have just gotten one and the last review you did on it was over a year ago, and Id like to see your review on it, thanks!
Jingles, the people going for the valley (Lakeville) are keeping the flank of everyone else safe. If one of the teams does not send someone there and the other team has two tanks, they can get behind (and spot) the TDs around the lake, surround the city (given the rest of the team plays it out safe enough to stay alive till they arrive). They might not contribute directly to the outcome of the game with kills, but they keep everyone else safe and put pressure on the enemy: they also have to keep some tanks there, ones with good turret armor and gun depression, which would be really helpful in the city as well. You always judge very quickly (and harshly by my standards), while most of the time I can somewhat understand why, this time I don't.
well when you go into the valley in lakeville if you find no resistance you go to the enemy base,if its encounter, take out their arty if they have arty or flank the tanks in the city,Unless the people in the valley wait till some of the enemies comes to them, you should do fine
Love your videos jingles. I put them on when I want to fall asleep quickly. Not that they aren't great but your voice tone is better then sleeping pills. Found this out by accident. I will drink a couple of cups of coffee to try to watch this one though. :)
Missed these reviews love your perspective on things jingles. I own the is6 T34 and lowe. Got the lowe when i didn't know what i was at. Now playing it to its strengths and trying to get the 41% wr up :-) its a great tank when you play it carefully. Last game was well played but enemy team couldn't shoot for shit.
(Hands up) I was at teir 5 when I bought my Lowe but I learned to play Lowe well enough than most teir 8-10 I meet all thanks to jingle ... CHEERS TO U JINGLES!!
16:40 it's a 9.0 replay isn't it? i guessed by the sounds (sorry if i'm wrong) and this guy is only carrying 40 ammo in total why jingles had 80 shots is it a replay before 8.11 or so when the löwe got the side armor and ammo boost?
I bought this tank a few days ago and I don't regret it however, I still need to learn how to use it to it's full potential but I'm not a bad Lowe driver just inconsistent. I'm using this to help me get the Leopard, Tigers and E series heavy tanks.
I love my Löwe very much, even though I suck in it according to my poor WR, and don't play it that often. It's on my list of played games still 2nd right after my M4.
I'm a wallet warrior, and after about 600 games bought the Lowe. After initially getting shot by literally everyone, things go better now. Played about 570 games in the löwe and I every day enjoy it more. Killrate goes up as is survivalrate. But, once in a while I'm to much in a hurry and get killed as a flie on the wall. But as you said. I enjoy it very much and have a lot of fun. Strangely to me, the most fun with the Matilda and Birchgun. Saw nearly all your uploads and had a lot of fun watching. This last Lowe update was fantastic.
I wish that you would do more of these, focusing on the Tier VIII premiums - as they are the most expensive and most people can't test drive them outside of the Test Server.
12:25 Just cus he was at the corner doesn't mean you can't sidescrape as well, you just had to move back a little given him space for him too sidescrape, but so you could as well
Jingles, if you genuinely don't want to block a sidescraper then please stay the hell away from his safe retreat path (even if his flank looks covered by another player). Trust me, no matter how fast you react, the guy sidescraping is going to be several seconds ahead of you taking tons of unnecessary damage you could have prevented simply by not being that close.
I've been thinking about buying a Tier 8 heavy since they are on sale right now. Personally my main tanks to drive right now are a Panther 2, Tiger 1, and soon to be a T29. I split between a T34 and the Lowe, wouldn't mind taking some thoughtful suggestions. Thank you.
I like the T34 better it's gun is amazing but a very long reload comes with that. However I just find it more fun to play, probably because I love the T29.
Lol great video the other team attacking was a complete failure, Jingles keep doing tank reviews! You give great useful information keep up the good work! :)
Jingles! Im sure you have talked about it in a previously episode of mingles with jingles, but i'd love to know more of your time in the royal navy in the upcoming episode of mingles with jingles
Jingles, why do you keep forgetting to mention the 112 as a tier 8 premium tank with preferential match making? Its not the first time you forget to mention it, and its a damn fine tank ;)
I have bought a few prem tanks, and have come to the conclusion that just getting premium is way better than the tanks. I have a T34, which I loathe and feel was a huge waste of $$. I have a KV5 which is loads of fun and I have a Super Pershing which, when played right and in a platoon is a great little tank for its tier. The Lowe, has never really impressed me but that may be due to the points you illustrated in this video. I am done with giving WG.net my money, but I still play the odd game here and there. I'm really glad I watched this video, so I don't underestimate the Lowe in future battles. Thanks Jingles!
bought it when I got to 6 bought t 25 and t14 when I got to 4 and the t28 concept when I was 3 or 4 because it was a rare tanks and it looked cool and its completely badass
