Fun fact - to this day this is the only tank that can change its turret appearance without officially changing it as apart of one of the upgrades

that position in prokhorova especially in encounter if you angle yourself looking over the cap. easily one of the best spots to get easy kills. so many top guns because of that even in higher tier games

this little thing is fantastiic long range sniper exelent cammo rating as proved and deadly with the 12.8 u also have a large elavation angle which means u can take spots at steep angles and still have the elavation to hit them exelent review as always MrJingles :)

Like the Archer TD on the British line was based on the Valentine and the gun was mounted backwards because it was developed to flank so when it shot it just bolted out of there.

Yes, definitely looking forward to this new line. Tank destroyers and tier 10 meds are pretty much the way to go in WoT, and this line just reinforces the trend of it's all about the gun. Does that make it a better game? Not necessarily, but it can still be fun to take advantage of that.

That was definitely it. That impact sound was from the 100/105mm gun category, which would be either the enemy T-62A (which was not in range) or the AMX 50 100.

You can find it on the world of tanks website. It is down now, but keep searching and good luck finding it.

Has anyone noticed that Jingles tends to always show his first game with a new machine ?

The thing has increased gun depression when aiming over the sides and back. However when aiming over the back you lose alot of elevation due to the gun being over the raised bit of the hull

Righto, I'm just so used to my HE rounds on the 152mm for the KV2 being stupidly fun. I suppose I have to remember that at tier 6-8 that can be worthwhile, but probably not further up and with different weapons.

HEY JINGLES the waffle tractor has a rear mounted gun. If you back up hills with your gun facing backwards you might be able to get better gun depression without your tank in the way so you might be able to use the better depression from behind and use the hills and natural land features in your favor. I'm not sure if it will work 100 percent but its worth a try eh.

Hey Jingles, I noticed that the XP earned on the team score page was about 800, which is the 1200 (approximately) you saw on the other screens, divided by the 1.5 modifier you get when you win (or the honorable mention thing, whatever it's called, when you get a battle hero medal and lose). So, perhaps the mechanics of this system are working properly, but it's just not displaying on the score screen as intended. Still a damn fine result and an equally fine review. Cheers from NA!

Also, the frontal armor does help with ramming. Being more than 50 tonnes and capable of going 50 KPH, it's got about the same ramming potential as an E-50, a famous ramming medium tank.

26:29 another Jingles blooper when did the Jagdtiger top 128mm gun have 476mm of penetration, i love you jingles and your random blooper moments.

I noticed that it has better gun depression when aimed to the sides/rear. Not like the armour is going to make a difference. Heck, facing the direction of retreat might even be a good thing to get to another position more quickly.

Jingles may answer however I will as well: Once the first skill hits 100 percent and you see the + (plus sign) for the 2nd skill, you can click on skills, click on drop all skills (for 200 gold) and retrain the first skill to Sixth Sense (or whatever) from there. You then select the 2nd skill (at no cost) to train. People who cannot afford gold conversions of skills to perks will train from zero to active and effective perk - which is painful because it is a vacant training until it maxes out.

Hey jingles as a leopard 1 driver i have found that it has a tendency to bounce shot's that are firing at it from maximum range and only at maximum range. this mainly due to the oddball angles on it

You've got to consider the gun mount, too. It might be the gun mount prevents the gun from depressing further.

Turret: (1) : a gunner's fixed or movable enclosure in an airplane (2) : a revolving armored structure on a warship that protects one or more guns mounted within it (3) : a similar upper structure usually for one gun on a tank So yes... the Tier 8 9 and 10 TDs do technically have turrets.

it has a good gun depression if you turn it all the way to the back and engage in reverse,you can even run away after the shot faster that way and the armor is bad all around anyway and you are much smaller target as well like that

One thing tho Jingles, the 150 is going to be better for the camp of that tank, the tip of the barrel is treated as a contact point for spotting, thus the longer 128 has to be fairly far back from cover to not be spotted, thoughts on that?

I hope that you have figured out that the gun depression to the front is what blows, the gun depression to the sides and rear is much better mr jingles.

Well, it's hull is an E-100. The hull has armor. The turret is 20mm thick at best which might as well be paper.

The AMX did zero friendly damage. He may have been trying to push him out, though.

that makes sense because jingles said it was just a gun on the tank 4(pz. 4) chasis

the waffentragers were mainly designed as mobile aa guns to be loaded with flack shells to shoot down heavy bombers such as b-17's before relocating so they wouldn't be easily neutralized by ground attack planes or arty. In Wot this basically just means their glass cannons with very good cannonry and insane levels of gun elevation, you can park these things next to a hill and shoot straight up. and of course none of the waffens featured in game ever went into operational service

it's possible that it has something to do with the turret construction, since other german light tanks like the luchs and leopard CAN take advantage of their better side gun depression. but you're right it could be them forgetting as well.

Jingles I noticed when I get a battle hero medal, It doesn't separate the exp and credits like you would think (showing your regular amount for a lose then adding in what you won for getting the medal) it just says "For Courageous Resistance" with 0 next to it, I think the message "For Courageous Resistance" just tells you that you got your full exp and credits.

Actually, if you look at the movement on the mini map, it's the FV who is deliberately driving behind the AMX 50-100. The AMX 50-100 is trying to escape because he notices an FV 215b 183 turning its gun towards him.

The gun elevation on this tank is hilariously ridiculous, Jingles!

Ambition is terribly overrated; Jingles brings joy to millions and loves life far more than 99% of "successful" people. Damned inspiring stuff.

Jingels you got there something wrong it's not "Waffletraktor Ausf. IV" it's actually "Waffletraktor auf Pz IV" the Ausf. IV means Version 4 but the Auf Pz IV means that the Tank was Build on a chassic of a Pz IV. Just a little mistake but besides of that I really like your commentary and explanation style. Keep up the good work.:D

Jingles, with the tier 10 glass cannon, since according to you it has armor, will you be using the damage panel? Also, can you do that damage panel with the E75 as a bit of a bonus?

Courageous resistance xp IS included in your loss. The 0 you see is your xp fine for friendly damage, it is only formatting gone wrong. All the lines are one "step" higher than they are supposed to be on a standard server battle log.

Have you ever considered checking out men of war assault squad?Its pretty fun with the tanks in combat multiplayer.

btw jingles thanks reviewing the HEAT ammo! you probably already know this but HEAT is actually not terrible at long range (assuming you can land the hits) since the arc means it tends to land flat on sloped armor, and it keeps all it's pen at range. of course that ammo cost is ridiculous.

It's been almost 2 months since the last time I played WoT and even though you, Jingles, made good points behalf of The new German TD-line. I think I'll wait for Japanese tanks, before resuming my series of rage-quits and reflex-like Alt+F4 button smashing.

The deathstar was snipping, he was up there all game, he had no reason to leave it either, the map shows him stationary and the amx 50 100 carelessly driving infront

It seems you are right, AMX 50 100 was camping on hill (don't know why, when he should be in the field and fighting) and when passing in front of deathstar's gun, he got shot - happens quite often. I dont see any particular fault on deathstar's part.

It's auf Jingles, which means on (the chassis of panzer 4) not Ausf. for Ausfuehrung like in development.

excactly... as the engine is mounted in front and there is really no armor anyway so it would be best to back it up over the hill shoot and then floor it to get back down.

Jingles you're bang on about a "Chassis with gun on top", that's the literal translation of " Waffenträger"!

that tank is awesome to drive in and Waffletraktor E-100 is a great tank to use as it has 6 round loaded thats a tank people will want

That's because your view is a "square" not a circle. You can see targets 500m at max directly to your front, side and rear - but the diagonal of the square equals more than 500m.

Courageous resistance xp wasn't working on the live server last time I got one either.

I think you hit the Leopard's gun mantle on the very edge so even if it went through there was no tank on the other side and the shell just went soaring into the sky.

jingles i thought that the tier 6 french arty gun shield changes as well.

I think that the "turrets" on the new German td line are just spaced armor except for the w.t. e-100 which actually has a "turret" the only way the so called turrets on the 8 and 9 teir vehicles can be knocked out if by shooting the gun mount

@Jingles: The WF IV has a pretty decent gun-depression on the REAR of the tank. :-)

The Courageous Resistance works but for some reason on the post battle results screen it doesn't show up and only has a 0 there, it is the same on the live server. You got the CR EXP but it was added into your Received line without showing the amount extra you received in the CR line.

And without the insane speed.

Also remember this folks: Both the "Flakbus" and the Waffentränger Pz. IV have an insane gun elevation, which means that they can aim at targets even if they're standing vertical on a wall! :D

question is the gun depression for this TD better from the side or rear? cause from what i see the reason why it has bad gun depression from the front is because of the front of the TD blocking the gun, but the side and rear doesn't have any part of the tank that could block it. so does the side and rear have better gun depression?

Jingles can you briefly explain me what the thing was with the crew training. So as far as i understoon you train them first in a skill that leveles up faster and then change to a perk by retraining is that right ?

jingles could you please show us the gun depression and elevation on this machine on the sides and rear of the tank? on your last replay on severogorsk it seems to be better as you were shooting at the t62a greetings from germany
