So I was on my Matilda the other day on a tier 6 game on Mountain Pass map. the enemy had 4 TOGS. Long story short my whole team got destroyed. Only I was left alone. The 4 enemy 4 TOGS and a M37 arty were still alive. Went around all the map, got to their cap, M37 pops out of nowhere, fires at me, misses, I kill him. the TOGS were maybe about to get to our cap but it was too late because by the time they started capping I alone had already capped their base. And I think 2 of them actually came back to try and stop me. Epic game, too bad I don't have the replay :/ TOGS were raging, haha, it was funny.

Jingle's commentary makes these replays so much fun to watch.

Man, I've watched so many of your videos, I've decided to sub!

The Matilda is a great example of the power creep in WoT. It's basically an AMX 40, but without the one massive downside that basically ruins the AMX 40. The gun. So you have one AMX 40 with a shit gun and another "AMX 40" with a good gun, and that just isn't balanced no matter how much you like the Matilda and want it to remain as it is. What exactly does the AMX 40 have to balance it against the Matilda? Armor is similar, speed is similar.. The Matilda can pen the AMX 40 without even aiming for weak spots. The AMX 40 has to get lucky to pen the Matilda anywhere. So do I think it should get a massive nerf? Not really. A pen nerf maybe, and maybe a slightly weaker armor on the rear, so the tier III at least CAN hurt it somewhere. Facing a tank you simply cannot hurt isn't fun. It's a waste of people's time. To add to that, the AMX 40 needs a pen buff. It has simply been completely crippled by the constant power creep in WoT. If Matilda can hurt the AMX 40, the AMX 40 needs to be able to hurt the Matilda as well, if you're interested in any sort of game balance. It's not like the AMX 40 is going to circle the Matilda to death or anything. lol Oh, and the Hetzer is just a great display of WG being tards. The HE at lower tiers should be removed completely. When no one has armor, it's a one-shot party. That's not skill. Obviously the guy in the replay played well, but even tomatoes are one-shotting each other with the derps at lower tiers. It's like 'clicking'. The Hetzer itself is not overpowered at all imo. It's actually pretty bad at most things. Just try to play it with another gun. Not very mobile and blind as a bat. The problem is low tier HE derps. Not the Hetzer itself. HE just doesn't work when the enemies don't have armor.

Matilda replay was the one that got me into wot replays and i started playing WOT. After so many years i still remember this replay. This was also my first jingles video.

I had the privilege of not only seeing team work but beeing a part of it. Tho it is rare and it only happend to me once so far. But it was epic!

Wow! I'm a Matilda driver myself, but I haven't been in a match quite like that! Normally when I get over run like that it is by good mediums strong enough to do damage, and awesome artillery support, and me having no where to go except angle the armor and back off. The first time I unlocked that gun, I was amazed that I could actually have a tank that has a gun that can do damage to a Churchill and have the armor to block its shots - if it had one of the terrible starter guns.

That Lee at the start looked like 100% crew, vents, rammer, so no wonder he does good as top gun in his team! MUNK had a 100% crew with a 100%skill, witch is rare at that tier also...

That matilda making a play to still try to win the game at that point is mind boggling. he also should have pushed on those two lights, the pz-1c is unable to pen him from anywhere and the rock behind him would have made for a good place to back up if he did get flanked and start taking a bit of dmg.

Great vids, great winner. Makes me think twice if my t-40 is the best tier 4 td. That su-85 is so nimble. Even do the t-40 is under underestimated. I've exprienced to carry carry tier 6 games in my tier 4 td more then once ;). Even do its not OP, due to its 275hp only. It just has a great pen gun and good rate of fire.

Bought a Matilda yesterday, took on 2 heavy's 2 mediums, 3 TD's, and a light tank at once, and didn't get scratched. Medium tank that plays like a heavy.

Man, Jingles' voiceover style has changed a lot.

I have a Chaffee. They play almost the same now that the VK2801 has been nerfed in terms of top speed. Use cover when you can, keep a camo net on the tank to help with both spoting and staying alive and try and single out tanks that are alone or damaged and finish them off. Also keep an eye on the minimap and look for openings to go after enemy arty. hope that helps.

Oh yeah the matilda it was a freaking fun time to play with this tank! I remember that I managed to fuck up a Churchill I's day!

That's the most interesting part, that Hetzer fired mostly basic AP rounds, which have always had terrible pen both before and after the howitzer HEAT nerfs.

and this is the reason that, out of all the 80+ tanks i currently own in World of Tanks, I will NEVER sell my Matilda. We may curse its slowness and curse its low damage, but when you are surrounded you can hold your own pretty well.

When I first got that Matilda I knew it was special, its now one of those tanks that I will never sell, along with the hetzer and the t69 I love my matilda
