I really should go and rewatch "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly". Been too long, but then again 3 hour classic movie is a bit much no matter when you want to watch it xD Nice games as always.

In the Batchat clip, the first arty he spotted at about 5:45 dove down from his perch on K,0 I think he may have gotten stuck there. That's why he never came to spot and defend his cap.

I regards to the Ferdinand's armor, I also noticed that the roof of the crew compartment is easily penetrated. Taller vehicles such as the Tiger 2 have no problem shooting at it since the Ferdinand's roof is angled and not flat. The roof is an even bigger target if the Ferdinand is angled away from you. I use this weak spot whenever I can by shooting HE rounds into it and doing massive amounts of damage to crew and modules.

scouting is one of the most under appreciated roles in this game. I love scouting but some many people love to bitch at you.

Ferdinand is just an amazing TD. Even better with support. Managed 12 kills with it long ago. I had just disposed of the 2nd last tank with my last AP shell, and only had 5 HE shells remaining, against the last enemy, an E-75. Lucky for me, he only had 5% HP left, and this was before the major changes to HE shells.

I've watched this a lot of times and I just noticed. Jingles hates artillery. Loves Bert.

Gotta LOVE dat IS6! You KNOW the armor is good when you see an effective Ferdi player bounce his first shots in the game off of it and then feel the NEED to use 311 pen APCR to finish the job before getting killed! There is literally no other tier 8 premium like the lovely lovely IS6 in the game! Ofc the same could be said of the KV-5, T34 and so on, but I own those 3 and have played them enough on the live server to know they all excel in different ways (the T34 is generally tied for top average profit according to vBaddict ) - but because the IS6 is a high DPM in-your-face brawler badass of a heavy tank, with decent speed and maneuverability for a heavy - I find it the most fun to play of the tier 8 heavies!

I had the same thing happen I had 4.4 k dmg in my king tiger and i got team killed by arty cuz i didnt move up when he said. Its people like that that really wreck this game.

if u were watching close enough when he first went for arty the lorr 155 got stuck at k0 with the only exit being drowning

That completely incompetent and obnoxious platoon from the M5 replay is why I don't scout much anymore...

the batchat didnt miss caus of being on the move, he suffered lagging reticle syndrome, which has nested its way in the game since 8.11 ish, it makes peek a booing around corner a true hell

One does not simply 'not panic' when a fucking Ferdi charges straight up and traps you, especially as a Tiger which cannot run away.

Just had a su-100 8 kill game showing that TDs are deadly, and can do what hrs can do, as jingles just showed

Since camo-net and telescope can be used on any tank without any cost for tranfering it to a different tank, I would say that he spent the purchase cost for these items not just for one tank.

I once had an arty vs arty on Airfield, one other arty and I in M7 Priest were the last remaining vehicles alive on our team vs two remaining arty on enemy team. I was sweating a river when I advanced to enemy cap and even more when I didn't get there fast enough to win by cap before battle time run out. By that time fortunately one of the enemy arty was gone and by working together with my colleague, we managed to kill the remaining. I weep that I haven't been making records of my matches. This is good about War Thunder, it gives you the chance to save the recording after the match is over, you don't have to set it up beforehand. The records themselves, not working after the slightest patch however...

I think the Lorraine was stuck because when he rushes the arty at first he drives into a hole to getaway from the batchat.

I don't think the arty could even get back to the capcircle to shoot at him in the batchat replay. It's the same guy who went over the side at 5:47

The Ferdinand's LFP is a pretty big weakspot - you can penetrate that with the 90mm on the US TDs using AP.

Jingles, bringing up Bert the avenger reminds me of our recent platoon. "Fail platoon" as you might say. But it's was a T110E3 & x2 FV304'S. And together. Me and my platoon mate just hit everything with about 50 dmg. While our t110e3 friend pushed the flank. Together the berts killed an e 100, and is7, a wt auf pz4, and 1 shot a 400 he tier 9 arty. Amazing game. You would like to see replay maybe? Bert. Being more effective at tier 10. I'd say so

I've got a replay somewhere where I was forced to play scout arty in the magic forest as well, unfortunately it was in a GW Tiger P... took me ages to get there, and then the team didn't even capitalize on it all that much.

guys, don´t aim for the lower plate of the is6 if you are face to face . the lower plate has more armor than the upper plate upperplate is 100mm (80mm at the hatch) lower plate is 120mm :D

I think the Lorraine 155 50 was stuck on K0, because he cliffdived to escape the bc for the first time

i think that the last remaining arty got stuck trying to escape DOUBLE_G when he made his attack. Thins could explain why the arty didn't move to reset the cap

I was in a tier 9 match in my AMX 12t and the only 2 tier 9 tanks in the game were arty WOT MM at its finest

beleive it or not, I was actually asked to scout once in my matilda. No, you see the only way matilda spots targets is by wading through a field of gunfire. which does not work when attempting to spot a firing line of KV-1s's.

The JagdPanther 2 casemate is very much "practically" impenetrable. I have had cases in which TDs firing gold or ISUs pen through the thickest parts, as well as one random moment where someone hit the gun barrel exit and it penetrated my tank(and didnt damage the gun), I shit you not it happened. Against most tanks that casemate is great but tier 8 TDs always seem to neutralize the casemate armor.

Quick comment on the first replay, doesnt the artillery go down into that K0 pit after Bat spots him earlier in the battle? That means arty could get shots but couldnt get out reset the cap so he couldnt take the bait, anyone else notice this?

A tier 4 tank is more than capable of piercing even tier 10 french tanks. Case and point. I killed a Foch in a Luchs while platooned with an AMX 50 100

I had a friend take out a T95 in a SU-26. The fire was glorious.

Personally I think that Ferdinands dealing with is-6s doesn't really need to use premium ammunition, because is-6s rely on bounces rather than raw armor thickness, if an ordinary shot bounces, neither can a premium shot penetrate, better find a good angle to shoot... (PS: I believe that in recent versions, APCRs have less armor normalization than regular rounds) ...My english is not good, pls spare me for the errors :P
