World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade SECRETS (Eversong Woods) 

This guy hasn’t even hit 10k and is already a pro content creator. It’s a shame how underrated his channel is

Been a while since I heard, “Here - on your map.”

One secret detail that you wouldn't be able to see without patched exploits is atop the Sunspire in the starting area. There's a room up there resembling the login background for blood elves with furniture and a readable book

Very sad that Eversong (and Ghostlands) haven’t been updated since BC. They both deserve full 3D fleshing-out like with what we saw with Cataclysm. Both regions are still my favorite zones by far.

Been a while since I made one of these. I'd be lying if I said everything that got revealed about Blizzard's workplace last summer and the subsequent scrubbing of a lot of the Easter Eggs and little details in the world didn't discourage me... You can actually see some of the footage that I recorded almost 8 months ago, with Pathstalker Kariel! But I'm back now, and with a certain optimism about the future of WoW and Blizzard in general, due to the looming change in leadership. Anyway, what did you think of Eversong? Any areas you want me to cover next?

I can't believe it's taken me this long (major fail on the part of youtube's algorithm) but I'm SO happy to have found your WoW videos! This is so up my alley, I've spent so much time over the past 17 years wandering around Azeroth absorbing every trivial detail of every zone. It's so cool to see when someone else has noticed the same thing as me and even cooler to hear about things I hadn't noticed myself! Please never stop making these. I'd love it if you made one for every single zone! I'll never get tired of this :)

Oh, this brings back so many memories! All the blood elves I've leveled through here, because I loved the starting zone so much, and to this day the soundtrack for Eversong Woods is among my favourites of all time

A couple of things I had not noticed myself, very neat - good job! Only things I could add are: Flight Masters: They used to have bats as flightpath mounts, but changed to the more fitting Dragonhawks. Sunstrider Isle: The very top of the starting building has a fully decorated area. Fairbreeze: The Dragonhawk eggs used to be at the top floor of the other building. This is why you sometimes see the Dragonhawks suddenly pop up there - they probably forgot to change one of the spawn/path points. Sunsail Anchorage: The sunken ship is definitely a High Elven one, as these are "Elven Destroyers" that you can use in Warcraft 2 in the Human Campaign. They probably never had the time to dig up and remove it before building the current ones with the Blood Elf theme. Sunsail Anchorage: To the west, you see the only path between the docks and the open sea - a bit of water splitting the beach. However if you look at it, it's so shallow that no ship could ever actually go through there.

This might be one of the best videos I've watched. Absolutely captivated by your narration; brilliant work. The topic also hits close to home, because I've always been borderline obsessed with the Eversong Woods and Silvermoon... Something about the lore, society within Eversong Woods, the architecture... It's all so captivating. I've leveled countless Belfs through here, and as an Alliance void elf I've done rogue stealth RP in the zone and capital many times. One odd detail I have noticed is that Kelerun has an orange name for an Alliance player, as opposed to nearly everyone else having a red name. Also in silvermoon itself, there is a child running/playing with a tiny arcane creature, this child is for some reason hostile/killable in-game... very oddly dark, probably an oversight though. You are by far the most underrated channel I've come across, keep up the amazing work.

I remember my first blood elf, Mageroyal, back in 2007 and after I finished questing on Sunstrider Isle I had no idea how to work the map and never found the bridge to Falconwing. I simply swam to the nearest beach which had the murlocs. I leveled almost to 10 by swimming back and forth between Sunstrider and the beach.

I've always been in awe of the color pallet and the detail of Silvermoon, and then the night borne city when legion came out. I hope when they re-do the night elf capital they give it the same justice they did with the other elf cities. Darnasuss was always in need of a serious remodel

I actually watched this in parts because i did not want in to end. I've enjoyed these Easter egg videos so much. My passion for WoW and its secrets are great, and you do an amazing job of covering them. Might I recommend Ghostlands next? Its the zone i remember the most from being the age of 6-7 playing on my dads PC.

These videos are always interesting, and also very relaxing! I'd love to see one for either Eastern or Western Plaguelands (or both!) at some point.

Thanks man I love this area. This and Ghostlands are among my most favourite areas. One nice touch in the Eversong is a unique treent (think called Elderbark, or something) If you kill him you get a return quest to Larianna, who asks you to lay his spirit to rest. P.S. I would love to see you talk about Ghostlands as well :)

That broken ship is an high elf destroyer. They first appeared in Warcraft 2 and was the basic attack ship to the Alliance (for the horde was a troll destroyer. They don't appear on WoW if i remember correctly).

Fun fact: Saltharil and Sylvanas Windrunner have beef from her adolescent years. She “poisoned” three nobles who made fun of her brother during one of Salthsril’s big parties. She wasn’t invited again.

as a blood elf lore fangirl this video scratched my brain just right just something u missed: 9:20 the party guests are rude only if u havent finished the quest to get the invitation, once u have it in ur inventory their dialogue changes and they welcome u to join

Have you had a look at the underwater goblin village south east off the coast of Kalimdor ? It was just below the compass point on the Tanaris map (compass is in a line right from Uldum) and you could reach it during WotLK as a tree healer using hots and aquatic form. It was comprised of about 5 buildings though touching the floor there meant insta-death. Would love to know why they put it there. Speaking of which, any idea why Zalashji, a level 45 friendly naga who roams in and out of his dwelling, Zalashji's Den in Tanaris was placed there ?. There used to be all sorts of crazy theories that if you had the right item and do the right emote you could get him to react/talk to you lol

I'm itching to start playing WoW again! If not soon, like before this Winter is over, I'll definitely get back for Classic WOTLK!!!! I just found this channel today!; Which is shocking! Because it's such an awesome channel! I look forward to seeing it get big! I have a lot of nostalgia for the Blood Elf starting area, a d The Forsaken starting area! I have even leveled a couple of my Blood Elves in the Forsaken starting area! Since they're my preferred race! I started playing Wow on a trial account back in the Summer of 09! Right after we had just moved across the US. And we didn't have much extra money when I started, and I was lucky to be able to afford to buy the actual game, when my 2 week trial was nearly over! Which is why I have the nostalgia for the Forsaken starting zone! I couldn't afford to play as Blood Elf when I started! And so the first character, who is my main to this day, or would be if I were currently playing, started as a Forsaken. It didn't take too long for me to get the expansions, and to pay for the racial change, to make my Forsaken Shadow Priest (dual spec Holy,) in to a Blood Elf too! Sorry to write a novel! I just got lost in my sentimental memories of the game! Anyhow! Hope this channel doesn't take too long to achieve the level of success and recognition that it deserves!

One of my favorite areas- that sweet 2006 smell. Love how areas they put out back then were full of 'pointless' little stories and scenes that weren't *necessary* to play but sure did make the world feel good.

The "different colored ground" to represent grain spilling out [5:40] is just light reflecting -- you can see it go away for a second as the creature/NPC walks over it.

6:37 Silanna and Solanin used to have dialog texts when you right click on them back in TBC. Silanna predicting the end of the expac by saying that she belives that they will restore the sunwell and all will go back to normal,that there situation is not as worst as all make it out to be. Solanin saying she could be naive,oblivious of how serious is the predicament there race is in and that they are moving inside Silvermoon after he is done packing. I asume there dialog texts are removed after the expac was done as to present it as time have passed in the zone or to not be confusing.

The Path Stalker change is the sort of thing that really bugs me. Unless the trainer, or any quests involving him somehow referenced anything along the lines of misogyny or sexual misconduct, why did he need to be replaced? It's performative action. That character remaining didn't impact the player experience, and no one would have known that he was specifically created by that employee.

I was secretly hoping he'd touch base on the chest that sits atop the balcony in the West Sanctum. I've always believed the world designers completely forgot to add a teleport to the top of the building as it's littered with enemies and as well a chest, untouched by people since the dawn of Burning Crusade. But alas, he did not. And I honestly don't think it's something a lot of people have noticed either anytime I ask people are just like "what chest?"

As a person that puts strong attention tondetails, i really love this zone! I wish the High / Blood elven empire was larger,so we can have more zones similar to this one But yes, EW greatly imolies the mentality of the blood elves according to the lore

Every Horde character I make comes to this area to quest. Start at level 13 and when you complete every quest in the zone you are level 22 or so. It depends on how many extra mob you kill.

Altought he "Higher Units" such as the spellbreakers etc used official Elf garments the common foot soldier even for the elfes might just have taken whatever arms mightve been available. Most likely tho just hastily arranged background noise.. still I like to think about such things. Its why I visit your channell

Eversong is my favorite starting zone by far. I wonder how many I'll know already!!

This is a shot in the dark, but I figured it's worth a try... I've been considering recently to return to retail. The main hinderance is the cost vs. the community experience. Since Lich King and beyond, especially after the great cleansing of Cataclysm removing so many class fantasy items and quests, I've felt as if though the levelling experience has received the shaft. Largely, it's no longer seen as an adventure and instead is considered a mere hinderance, an obstacle between you and raids. Like FMV, I've always been fascinated by the smaller things; environmental worldbuilding such as props and little details in ones surroundings that are hard to miss. The rat race of getting to max level at a speedrun pace so you can raid has just never appealed to me. So I'm wondering if there's anyone out there in retail who share these views. Perhaps you'd know of a guild or a small subsect of the community dedicated to this? Lore keepers and explorers. I haven't committed to the idea of going back to retail yet because I wanted to investigate whether or not there is a server where there are likeminded people still playing the game. Explore old content and new, quest for the sake of the adventure and just hang out.

It’s too bad that most players of retail will never see this zone. I leveled up two blood elves here, opting out of exile’s reach and I’m glad I did even though it took me significantly longer to do so. It is just so beautiful. Lonely but beautiful.

Wow because Blizzard changes the name of an NPC that has no reference to a former disgraced Blizzard employee(except that they were named by them), I TOTALLY feel better now and I am sure all of the victims feel a HUGE weight off of their shoulders for how BRAVELY Blizzard handled this.... Give me a break. PR stunt to save face, nothing less, nothing more.

Dude most of what you are talking about aren't secrets. the fact that an area was designed as a little school with the podium and the seats and whatnot is not an Easter egg. It's the least you can do to show that this place used to be functional. Also at 5:22 you are completely wrong. What's happening is sunlight escaping leaves to creat this little light spot. Noone altered it so it resembles grain.
