eh, anyone non blind fanboy could see WoD was setting up for failure as the launch drew closer. It was pretty clear Garrisons were going to be the major focus and how near close to release the 2 major cities were scrapped. The cut content was just icing on the cake for WoD's failure. Already at release Legion as 2x the amount of content WoD has even now.
Chiyori Nakanishi Well we are not going to be stuck with the same world quests the entire expansion. It was mentioned that with the way they set it up, it will be easy to introduce new world quests and remove older ones.
Garma People saw signs that WoD was going to fail very early on, due to a lot being scrapped (Bladespire, Karabor, Tanaan Jungle, Farahlon, Zangar Sea, and much more) and how much garrisons were required.
Worried about the pvp? People are finally doing objectives now and working together the Horde recently has been winning all bgs so far. The pvp is Better than the honor system bullcrap.
Dear journal, today I was questing in Nagrand. Someone else was killing the talbuk I needed for the quest. I could have invited him to a party, but instead chose to be silent and beat him at tagging mobs.
Players will do what is most efficient no matter if they want to be social or not game should protect you from this behaviour and force social aspect of the game on players.
When people say that they want those things gone. Players will ALWAYS choose the easiest path to get what they want they play a game that uses their real time.
They can be mad about that if they want. It doesn't make dungeon finder and flying mounts any less efficient. I hate how powerful Heirlooms are but I still use them to remain effective.
Oh man I'm getting a tbc and wrath vibe from this The return of class quests Class fantasy back in the mix Goddamn demon hunters The return to dalaran I've never been so hyped for a wow expansion
And Lore that builds directly on the books... loving it. Suramar and Blackrook Hold made me incredibly hype. That whole storyline is my favorite part of the three War of the Ancients books. And that also made me realize, that as far as I can remember Tauren canonically existed 10.000 years ago and were part of that war.
Class quests are being overstated by people who haven't done the content, they're class quests in terms of what you're doing is specific to your class but it isn't a return to vanilla class quests or even the green fire quest from mop, you don't need your class abilities for anything, most of them are fly to this location and kill x amount of mobs then a big mob.
LightningIgnitor From a lore perspective, sure, vanilla quests are also overstated for most classes but I've finished every class hall campaign besides priest/mage/druid and none of them have required any class skill or even trial and error (like the hunter staff/bow quest, like the warlock greenfire quest even)
here's an interesting thing to note. technically.. BfA is really just even more Legion content because pretty much its entire story is fallout from Legion XD
Im gonna miss Legion. So many memories. Remember when you had to Collect Artifact knowledge level on each Char to get more ap? And when flying wasn't possible in the broken isles? And when Class halls were full?
Sututiv you forgot how excited you got when you received your first legendary? Even if it was a bad one, seeing a 895 piece drop had you nerdscreaming for hours
I definitely loved legion. The storyline was awesome imo. Gave us a class we have been wanting for years and gave us the long awaited 2nd burning legion expansion. Zoned through all the zones unlike other expansions (minus wrath) and still love doing the raids. Let’s not forget the class halls and the transmog. This was the expansion I feel in love with the mage class and the class halls and transmog helped me get into them. All and all the nostalgia was amazing!
That would be incredibly hard and would take many years to make. It took a team months to create the legion cinematic, not even considering the hours of rendering each frame took.
C'thun did have it first but it's basically been a representation of the eyes of every Old God since. Yogg didn't have it because he didn't have eyes, just a thousand mouths.
This was one of the best expansions they’ve had in a while. I absolutely loved playing Legion, and still miss it. BFA is decent... but far from what Legion was.
Katsarelas hmm... just confused cause they arnt allowed to show bones... so im wondering if maybe they changed the law? cause like they changed undead and scourage to not show bones, and most skeletons in the world were made into crates
More like shouldn't. A floating sword above your head would only get in your way as a melee character with all of the overhead swings and such, and it would be difficult for the floating sword to attack. Does not make any sense.
No it really wasn't. It was the second last nail in the coffin for me with WoW. The last nail was the removal of itemisation in Legion. Have fun with the theme park I guess.
Legion proved to be indeed an insanely nice expansion, prolly the best out there. The only problem is that the old players are getting bored very fast. After all, it is the same game play, pvp, dungeons, farming and we are now older, finished schools, having families, jobs. We will come back to wow every time to see the new content but can t feel the joy we felt in the past. The survival of WOW depends on the ability to get new players who discover the world for the first time.
This expansion so far has been awesome. I love how we are finally facing the ultimate bad guys of the Warcraft universe that we've heard so much about but until now, never really saw.
Now that we're at patch 7.3 I'm looking back and they definitely lived up to the preview. They basically fixed everything wrong with WoD by going the opposite direction. "Sick of being stuck in your garrison while your followers do all your work for you? How about we make _every_ zone important to visit at the level cap with level scaling? And while we're at it we'll even visit old locations for your order hall campaigns. Want to revisit Icecrown and see what the new lich king is up to as a DK? I'll bet you do!"
I like the music transition at 4:59 from intense to heavenly and the sound effect of the light bridge at 5:11 is really satisfying. All of the music throughout the video is great.
Let's hope this new Assault on Violet Hold won't be the boring 2.0 version of the original where you constantly have to wait for the mobs to spawn after clearing the first wave XD
It's not as annoying as the original but still annoying, especially if your tank wants to tank everything at the top of the stairs and you play a high ramp up ranged spec.
no people get better gear :) different thing, same result. the devs don't usually touch dungeons after the beta unless a boss is literally unkillable or an ability is bugged.
I started with Burning Crusade sooooooooooo, I did. I'm talking about since Warlords cause the only thing that got me excited for that expansion was the cinematic.
It's not even out / completed yet... Claim its the best expac when it's over and been experienced fully from all aspects of play and when we are in the next expansion after Legion. Then we may be able to formulate a valid scale of 1 - 10 and where Legion sits, from what I've seen of beta and alpha footage, I'd place it at a solid 7.5 at the moment, Looks more fulfilling than WoD, but I can't say if Blizzard will sufficiently supply content through the expacs life, we may get 2 patches of good quality but nothing else of massive importance or 20 patches of bullshit minor features like the selfie cam and twitter integration, which while a social aspect gave nothing to game play experience and content. If Legion supplies a good, strong supply of content patches and after launch support and the servers don't implode on release, then that's a decent start, but if the story lines hold no heart and are just lifeless quests and key features are cut from the final content then it will sink, and Blizz do like the cutting scissors - Wrath of the Lich king was supposed to have aerial combat and destructible buildings, even shipping in boxes claiming "Engage in aerial dogfights with flying mounts and gnomish engineered planes", this never came to be realized in Wraths expansion lifetime. What I'm driving at, is until Legion is said and done and we look back at it instead of towards it, don't state it's the best expac. I've been playing since late Vanilla (Nax) and in all honesty, all the expacs have had greatness and failure in them, none are better than the others. Even WoD had fantastic story telling and relatively deeper characters than past expacs.
1 Year and a half later and this is is one of the best expansion of wow, im gonna miss Legion so much but hopefully blizz learnt from wod and BFA will be awesome
@@Gerhalt2010 It feels odd seeing reveals of old expansions that feel like it was just yesterday. Sucks looking back on a good expansion after its over. Im honestly skeptical of Shadowlands. Its giving me a WOD vibe.
Because content gets old faster -- more people spending a lot longer on the game == they will need new content sooner. They are buying themselves some time by releasing it in Autumn.
It already has more content and longevity than all of WoD. Zones and music and questing as gorgeous as MoP. Characters as lore-heavy as those in BC, and a pre-expansion event that might just be as epic as the one in Wrath. I think this might be a really good one.
wtf u talking about? u can trust ur own eyes. It might not be the best thing ever or best expansion but clearly they are trying and adding ton of new stuff... u cant even compare it with wod with the stuff we have seen so far
How are WoW RU-vidrs biased? WoW RU-vidrs have an active interest in *not* deceiving their audience by lying, because that would drive their audience away. They also have an active interest in the game being good because they wouldn't have an audience in the first place if the game died out, thus they tend to be quite critical and skeptical because they want the game to be the best it can be as it directly benefits them. I see no harmful bias there unless someone is being paid directly by Blizzard. But if you listen to a critique or review that is sponsored by the owner of the product, then you're frankly an idiot. >.>
They are beings from other planets. They can actually travel by spaceships but its takes a lot of time which is why they normally use portals. I think..
there is patches all through the expansion instead of a few and then nothing, so I wouldn't be surprised if at least 1 new bg comes out in legion later. Revamp of the PVP system was the biggest priority .
Honestly, the BG system needs to be redone... It's showing it's age right now. They need to make sections of different types of bgs.. i.e. CTF bgs, Base-capturing bgs, deathmatch bgs, etc. So instead of queuing for every bg, you could queue for a type or something. Then they just need to make new maps for those modes
I really hope they begin Timewalking raids and even some old bgs. Maybe bring back the Southshore vs Hillsbrad? Or old Alterac Valley? And would be kool Timewalking Ahn'Qiraj :-D. Like they do lfr, Timewalking Raids can be like that.
i like the way they designed the island. it has an overall theme where every zone is indiviual, but still makes a good component to the new continent. looks lovely and very down-to-earth, i love it
If they deliver what this trailer has, its gonna be golden and will surely bring back old subscribers. Nothing gets in their minds more than losing 29 of 36 million subscribers.
Some spellcasters don't even have a staff... The artifact ability of the Elemental for example, is to raise the fist of Ra'den in the sky and then a lighting comes striking down on you, empowering your abilities. So technically, they do use their weapons.
@Katrina Syndae False. Windwalker monks do use their artifact fist weapons. They hide while sheathed, but while in combat, they do hold them in their battle stance and while attacking.
It's also the fact that the game can still look this good on a engine that's 12 years old..... They have to be pushing its max limits at this point haha
