Ben Burcham here, thank you for featuring here, yes I had a fatal rush of shit to the brains. I thought I could catch Ipiranga if he slipped up, I should have ran but I also severly underestimated it's speed, I thought if I could keep it north as long as possible we could win on points, I had no idea it could/would close the distance that fast

One man's epic throw is another man's epic carry.

The Ipiranga player must be very paranoid since he started sailing back to the base even before the Lightning torped the CV.

I think the Colorado is the one that threw the worst. What was he thinking giving full broadside to an Ipiranga at that range just to get his rear turrets firing? If he'd stayed angled and kept his distance (not that hard in a Colorado) this wouldn't have resulted in a throw.

I remember back when WG used to like Jingles, I have digital Jingles as a captain too. Calling out submarine kills back when WG was still saying they were never going to introduce submarines into WoWs....

I get constant bonus episodes of this series with the teammates I get lol.

What a great carry. Eclipse_Passing nailed it from the very beginning. Must be said as well, that he had the ship to pull it off too. But then again, even the sharpest tool is as good as the brains yielding it. And sincere thanks to Ben for sharing this. Gallantry is not dead.

The Dallas went immobile with 5:36 left in the battle, but it was probably before that that he went AFK/disconnected because all enemy were behind him and he never turned. His last course change (a slight turn to the right) happened with 8:00 left in the battle about 10 seconds after the Heinrich (the last enemy in front of him) was defeated.

These pan american ships are the definition of OP. It's like giving the Mass secondaries from Japanese cruisers, making them laser accurate, and giving the Mass more guns and the maneuverability of a light cruiser. It's nuts

lighting is slept on, its a very good knife fighter for talking and holding caps. even when it finds itself in teir 10 battles.

Throw. You have to expect the Iparanga (or whatever she’s called) to go full on beast mode. She was designed for it. Colorado and Massa were sailing towards her, which you good sir, did previously described as “what are you doing? He’s throwing isn’t he? All you had to do is NOTHING! Just sail away.” Well Colorado couldn’t, but Massa could have tried.

Never give up!! That Ipiranga player just refused to quit and wound up carrying! Nice!

Ben was playing with fire the entire game, he did not to be in that cap for anywhere near that amount of time, even when he slowed down to torp the BB he should have been long gone. Oh well, we all make mistakes. Glad he nuked the CV tho😂

I think everyone threw. The carrier, for reasons already discussed, but also Ben, for not running the hell away when the Ipiranga dodged the torpedos. The second he laid the smoke screen, I was like "what the hell are you doing? Run!" Even if the Ipiranga still killed the Colorado, Massachusetts and Dallas, Ben would've won on points (probably). Congrats to that Ipiranga. In the old words of Jingles, he snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.

The Ipiranga chewed up the enemy like a Piranha!

I'd sooner be underestimated than overestimated. And also don't interrupt an enemy when they are making a mistake.

Very entertaining match. Also liked the name of friendly Massa. Pappy Boyington and his Black Sheep were one of my favorite tv-series when I was a kid, so I'm happy for the reminder of the good old times.. 😊

The Ipiranga had superb awareness. Not only predicting Ben heading for the cap, but even how he approached the cap. He wanted as little distance as possible between them when Ben showed his face and he got it. Had that portion have gone any differently it would have been a different ending.

Oh yeah. World of warships is it jingles? Definitely the Best way to start a Tuesday before my history lecture.

A replay from the Ipuiranga's view would be exciting.

It is good, But the T-5 Destroyer carry was still my favorite. I nearly fell out of my chair.

Yes, that was really a throw. Because once they saw the Ipiranga was coming for them, all they had to do... was to scatter into the winds. Like, just disperse. Get as far away from each other as possible. Their proximity to one another is what allowed the Ipiranga to win. Because as nimble as that ship may be, it is not equipped with warp engines. Nor is it a DD. There are limits to how fast it can go. And on a map like that, with plenty of islands to hide behind, all it takes is 1 good island far away from the Ipiranga and, well, he's just done for.

"Throw or Carry?" I vote "Both".

yes, an epic throw. kudos to the ipiranga captain, but the incompetence was highlighted everywhere. side note: Ben kinda threw that game too - all he had to do was run & hide, his team was in command, they had an almost insurmountable pts lead - even if the rest of his team threw, he could've hid from the ipiranga the rest of the game, instead he chose violence. 98% of the playerbase would have also chosen violence in those circumstances, probably including me, lol, so it's hard to blame him.

I barely played WoWS but I love these Jingles commentaries. I did play A LOT of WoT. That never say die attitude never ceases to entertain me. That's when you have to pull out the evil clown tricks and show people what one motivated mfer can do. Eclipse Passing: - me? NO! - U! Ben had the full perspective and is not an unskilled player. Thanks for providing it.

The Colorado should not have pushed forward, closing the distance gave the ipiranga the advantage

Ipiranga is such a great ship, ive had it for less than a month, and have a handful off 300-350k damage games! These new BBs are Dangerous!

I remember I used to pull that Iparanga's trick off in tier III co-op matches, up against 3 bot battleships, allies either sunk or scattered across the map, I say, "This is FINE" and tank all 3 of them with my Nassau or w/e the Italian tier III was back in 2016. It's much harder to accomplish that against other players, at higher tiers.

Me to my wife before even launching the video: "That last throw was like 600 points and 6 ship lead. How could they ever beat that?" Jingles: "This is the worst/best throw I've seen all year." My wife and I: "OoOoOoOohhh, STRAP YOURSELF IN HONEY!!!" *after watching* That was a beautiful, well-earned, entertaining match. Definitely the best this year!

Not to mention the two BBs at the end splitting the Ipiranga and allowing him to damage them both simultaneously

A Game of Carry methinks. There's definitely a new series possibility having solo carry games regularly if infrequently. Great replay Jingles as ever.

Part of it was skill I'd say, but an even larger part was how absurdly broken the new ships are so there's that. Gotta love WG's FotM ships, power creeping the heck out of everything that came before it. Just waiting for the inevitable nerfs to come once they've milked enough people who bought into them etc. Great video as usual though.

By the 17th minute I was like this isn't a throw, then Jingles said hold my beer lol

The way Ben uses his torps is good demonstration for why you should usually only single launch your torps with RN ships if a) you want them to be in a conga line b) you need to manage the amount of torps you launch because there are multiple targets you need to hit c) you want a EU DD type of tight spread and are actually good at making it. Just because the single launch gimmick is there doesn't mean that you should always use it. In particular, the spread Ben makes when he's in the cap is just awful, one of those might have hit if he just used the regular spread. It's usually way better at making an even spread than the player is.

Some of these throw games demonstrate the "which team has more poor players?" combined with a fearce competition in that regard.

The lack of teamwork against the…pan American BB, does make this a throw. The skill makes this a carry.

just to double check myself, I went back and rewatched this, but kept my eyes glued to the minimap. Dallas... oh Dallas... That was a bot. Whomever was multiboxing it left the battle. First 1/3 of the fight it was behaving like a linked macro (following Farragut) and then when it got detected itself it went aggro. Let's hear it for Wee Gee bots mk 3...

More carry than throw for me, Ben's team couldn't have known about the AFK Dallas...

There was one throw on Ben's team, and that was Ben's misplay in the cap. The Ipa is just that good when not getting focused down by a bunch of HE spamming ships. If I had any tips for Ben, you should have run away when you smoked and continued running to provide gunfire support when your Colorado and Massachusetts started fighting that thing.

The friendly Dallas ended with...666 BXP. I'm sure it means nothing. 😂

To make the obvious GoT analogy, the Ipiranga just went full Hound on a poor group of bandits who had no idea who they were messing with.

That Ipiranga captain in next games: “I’ve been at this situation before. I lost the battle of neighbors at 05:21… BUT I WON IT BACK AT 02:32!!” 🤣🤣🤣 note: those are the time stamps on the game clock, not the video

Throwing away the destroyer like that definitely decided the match. It shouldn't have but apparently the two battleships couldn't deal enough damage to a bow tanking enemy. Had Ben been alive the enemy would have been maneuvering a lot more to dodge torps.

a lot of throws in this match ... but not by Eclipse_passing. Great game @Eclipse, really enjoyed watching the match when you started to avoid Ben´s torps and you chased him down.

You did not see that end coming? After the friendly CV died I knew they had lost. The Ipiranga is such an OP ship, it just melts ships with it's secondaries. And the three remaining weren't especially good ships or healthy.😕

The kind of throw that just keeps on throwing.

Did the Ipiranga have RDF? Unusual for a BB, but would explain his prediction that ben was going back to his base and, not hitting, but oddly shooting in the general area of an unspotted DD. But 4 points for RDF when manual secondaries, or fire reduction would be more usual? Who knows. But he played well and saved the game for his team.

Actually I don't see one major throw here by any one player. I see several normal errors of judgement that combined cause a major throw. But I wouldn't pin it on one player or one decision. I mean, the error of the Lightning - who hasn't had a situation where you are lurking-in-wait and the enemy approaches a bit too soon for your taste? The Colorado - who hasn't had a situation where you thought you had this in the bag and suddenly you show a little too much broadside and get citadelled? The Massachusetts - with that little health to begin with, he was unable to win this on his own. The Dallas - yeah, afk, but was it by choice, by rage-quit or because of something outside the control of the player (like a router reset)? Nobody made any major mistakes, just normal ones that happen. But since the enemy Iparanga was very good, all those normal mistakes resulted in an epic throw. A less-skilled Iparanga-player may have not been able to make such good use of these mistakes.

I've watched too many Flamu Libertad videos to not know how this was going to end. Iperanga might not be the beast that the her upper tier sisters are, but this line is broken right now.

That was best game carry throw of year.

I would love to see WOWS do occassional fog or night battles ... These happened historically and sometimes evened the playing field ... I.e. not knowing what was out there or when or where the enemy would emerge.

I feel vaguely cheated by this video. Old man Jingles didn't even give a passing nod to the captain of the Massachusetts, Pappy BoyingtonF4U! Boyington was a US Marine Air ace, (Medal of Honor recipient) flying a F4U Corsair in the Pacific Theater during WW2. Also, a segway into another awesome 70s show Baa Baa Black Sheep.

I have to admit I have done the same thing as Ben hoping that my torpes will come off of cool down before I get spotted and getting destroyed.

The game needs a t-8 or t-9 USS Wahington with Vice admiral Lee as a captain with the built in 20% reduction in dispersion. I have Jingles in my Heavy cruiser line and Cap in my battle cruiser.
