..I can't help but feel that destroyers are a kinda OP. Best mobility, best concealment, easy and powerful torpedoes, granted they don't have much protection and are limited by weapon range. Ehh I haven't tried the game yet, so I guess we'll see when we get there. All in all, thnx for the video sk8. You really seem to be the only blitz youtuber that's breaking down all the basics for the community. Definitely what we need right now, cheers.
Letmeopenyourthroat much appreciate :) destroyers played correctly are devastating but when they are not or you get caught out it's so easy to take them out. It's one of those good players are great in them and bad players are horrific type thing. Same concept with light tanks I suppose.
To be a good team player remember your role: Destroyer: capture bases, sneak up on battleships and carriers to torpedo them. Remember you are a tin can. You cannot take hits. Don’t be an idiot and rush in without other ships Cruisers: Kill the enemy destroyers and other cruisers! Protect your battleships and carrier Battleships: Lop shells on to enemy battleships. Do not let them fire at will at your destroyers and cruisers. Your team will lose very quickly if battleships start sneaking around , hiding or running away like chickens. And don’t even try to sneak up on the enemy to capture their base, the battle is over before you reach. Remember to look at the clock, look at your points. If you are leading in points with less than a minute of play, run away and don’t fight anymore. If you get killed, the enemy may get more points in the end.
I use the North Carolina battleship it’s really annoying to use a battleship because of a few things 1: takes a long time to reload 2: not very maneuverable 3: by the time I have made it to the other side of the map there is 2 minutes left 4: everyone focuses on you unless there is a carrier
1. just use ur guns effectively and use secondary guns also. You can wait. You do tons of damage. 2: you have the most health and most armor and torpedo damage reduction. You don’t have to go right next to people you can stay in one position and hit others. 3: false, unless you are doing something wrong it doesn’t take that long to get to the other side, and you don’t need to anyway, you engage in the middle. Seems like your more of a destroyer or cruiser type. So just change.

Sk8xtrm One more thing: if a battleship is angling with his nose infront of you, I suggest firing HE unless you're a battleship. Also, american destroyers are about the guns, firing out of smokescreen. And for dealing with carriers: if you set its deck on fire with HE, they cannot launch nor resupply their planes.
this game is good not great but good ... the main fat ugly game wrecking issue is that the battle duration is very low .. hope they fix it sk8 .. plz inform wg 💜
The game named as "Blitz" with a reason, dude. Don't complain something that's the feature or main focus of this thing. Dont like short time? Go play wow PC. -_-
How do you gain XP? Im grindig to get the langley and the US carrier line, but even in a battle where i sink 3 ships and a victory, i only get like 50-100 XP. It's annoying the crap out of me, and alot of these ships were at full health. Thanks!
Co Op mode give you low amount of XP beacuse you fight against bots. To get more XP per battle fight in solo/team match, if you have friends. i dont have friends ;-;
I really really really wanna get to the USS Iowa!! When I was 5 years old, I had an absolute obsession with a variant of that ship, the New Jersey and the USS Arizona!! I feel as though the Montana is just gonna be an added bonus (like the E75/E100 line in WoT).
Same story as you.. I loved battleships and sucked bad with destroyers and .. now I'm a pt boat and destroyer master. And carrier killer is best I hate them. Here and BOW. It gets grudgy. Battleships try long shots annoying us then we get vengeance in close. Top 3 tips, 1. Stay on that rudder and wear it out 2. Fire narrow shots a ship length apart instead of wide shots far off. Best spread. 3. Stay behind as much cover as possible. Circle behind something or use that ally battleship armor to hide behind reloading and planning the next attack then pop out fire and get back behind cover 2.
What happens if you buy a ship camouflage for like 34$ with a portrait and a comander but the one with the ship is 84$ with camo, portrait and comander will it be the same on another ship?
I agree with everything part where you said battleships don’t have the best aa. USN battleship aa is the second only to USN cruisers.. especially the last 3 tiers. I can lose a whole squadron of my shokaku’s torpedo bombers because I attacked a North Carolina.

I think TDs are the easiest your guns don't offer many choices and u don't need to think about anything other than aiming. torpedoes keep people away from u and can help u change the course of an engagement. all u need to do is keep an eye on the map, and keep people on the edge of your torpedoe range also i asked u on fb, did u start accepting replays? or is it too early?

Useful, as ever. The only problem i have with this game is that it keeps crashing. I must have won the last battle i fought. The game crashed when the enemy team had one ship left, and I’d fired a full salvo. When i logged back in, my ship sat there, in the harbour. Really REALLY aggravating. I use an iPad. Any suggestions for stopping this?
Last time I played destroyer were a bit op and the torps reloaded very fast so they would come up and turn left and right using the torpedoes on each side
Some US Destroyers has that type of Torpedoes like this premium Cruiser you show. For example tier 3 US DD Wiskes have 2x3 Torpedoes Tubes per side (at least on PC, maybe they change it here), but it can't launch all 12 from one side, so you fire 6 Torps from one side, then turn and fire another 6 from other side. Of course there are a downside - they have much shorter range than Japanese. sorry about my Eng
err Sk8xtrm a battleship can comb a torp salvo like at the battle of the Java Sea when Doorman could easily comb the 'long lance' torpedo until HMS Exeter suffered a hit in 'A' Boiler room and ALL the allied ships-Java,USS Houston,HMAS Perth all swung out line and only De Rutyer was attacking the Nachi and Haguro.
are the Iowa class in this? I'm about 20 minutes from the Iowa class #62 Battleship New Jersey, I have been on that ship and loved every bit of my walk through and firing the secondaries :) would love to get an Iowa class for nostalgia reason

I'm on xbox and right in the beginning of the video I hear about the port and supplies and stock but I see no option for the port. Only 5 options, play, ships, commanders, campaign & missions and lastly store. Where is the option to use credits for supplies the supplies shown in the beginning of this video?
I feel like cruisers are more like that. They have enough torps to clear a battleship along with Fire power to Really hurt BBs and Annihalate other cruisers and Just Probing the Destroyers out of sea.
This game's really different from WoWs and more WoT blitz-like. The engaging range is shorter, consumables is limited, while in WoWs they're unlimited (just DCM) and they have cd. Furthermore ships in blitz are faster and their armaments have better reload time. Heck, even the shell travel time is faster so you can hit the target without much leading. They nailed those blitz-like features to make the battle last much quicker and geniunely seems more easy to play. So to speak, WoT blitz is easier than WoT after all.

Question. Is there a bias in blitz? I use German battleships and am up to tier vi. I haven't put any money into the game, but if I should be using another nation, that'd be a helpful tip.
Nevermind. HE, AP, over pen, it's all made up rng bs. In a game where a peashooter can circle a battleship all day and take minimal damage while wrecking the battleship, it's all bs rng. No skill needed.
Here is a tip. Unistall Blitz and install WWS original. My win rate is 1 to 10. I have been playing this game for a good while now and have almost destroyed my phone because of how lop sided the battles are. The ships mechanics blow chunks and the fact that you loose awards for next level because your team mates suck and cant work together is shite.
Good tip with destroyers.. never chase another destroyer. He can out turn your torps and he will hit you because his torps will hit you faster because your chasing him

love the destroyers it's like all or nothing on my first game got rekt but slowly I've learned to play it and in one game I've destroyed 3 ships in an instant it's like only one full torpedo clip
All the beginners need to know. Is the dds are so overly powered and fast. They just disappear 50% of the time If ur going to play. Go with the destroyers. The are fast as a speed boat, strong as a bb, and fire so many torpedoes by the time u count them. Ur already sunk
I don't know why you said that BB is good class for newbies. Because in my battles, most idiots are the ones who use BBs, followed by CVs. I understand, maybe it's because the lack of speed, so once they're on wrong flank, it's very hard to reposition. Imho, DDs are better for them. They would have the speed, a bit of armor, and quicker RoF (so they have second chances if the first salvo missed the target).
I just gave up on blitz and wot a while back but I miss the fighting with strategy so I can to wowblitz....and I run only japanese DD they are amazing but I play a little different then u I use the islands as cover alot more and I never fire the guns unless it's absolutely worth it.
Just loaded this tonight. Should be good , got so over wot blitz 30k games. And trying to maintain 60% w/r un platooned was frustrating. Should be a nice change of pace. This game I'm just going to play to enjoy. Fuck the w/r!
So is this the reason everyone keeps going carrier sniping instead of trying to capture the objectives? Nothing wrong with taking down the carrier, but, as you said, you lost that game. Your team lost that game too, but that's because you didn't help them hold the cap. 80 points a minute to the team that controls it. It's just really frustrating to play any other ship type and watch your dds take off to go try and kill a Midway, only to fail and eventually get smoked, while the cruiser guys are struggling to hold the cap getting pounded by bbs, and dodging torpedoes from enemy dds that ptfo, and so on. Here's this game in a nutshell: Destroyers > Battleships > Cruisers > Destroyers
CV sniping is selfish, but sometimes it really works well, and I'm not even a destroyer player. I've played a lot of games where the solo maverick running off by himself to flank the enemy's rear is the only reason we win the match. Some teams just collapse when they realize they have a hidden destroyer behind them. They turn their guns away from you and leave the cap to go hunt down some little pest who isn't even visible. That's why they do it. It works (some of the time).
90% of the when you see the order of battle before the start of each match, you already know which side will win. The matching algorithm is obviously flawed. Very frustrating when you have some idiotic AI ships. And the opponent has AI ships that think like humans. WTF

Gene Goldhammer I can't comment as I don't work for wg in anyway but my opinion would be that I don't care it's still fun. For all we know they bought the game from them and reskinned it then will add stuff later on or it could be similar situation to Chinese wot.
