​@@FunandGameswithTerry another little factoid. By the end of WWII, Canada had the third (3rd) largest navy in the world (based on numbers) thanks to the accelerated building of the corvettes and tribals. We totalled 434 ships commissioned.

Being a Canadian, I also had to have this ship with the Sackville camo 🖖

Yeah the Ohio is a fun ship too.but the Yukon is just a fun time. I'm sure a crate of steel will come up soon.plus your battle honors yield a nice amount. My Ohio i play alot,the guns Are good and she can tank well.hope u get the Yukon soon.good post.

It really puts it into perspective, doesn't it? I haven't been on anything larger than HMAS Vampire, but that's already quite impressive

Well, the British wanted to have 15'' guns on the KGV, but reverted to 14s for the second London treaty. Since Japan and Italy refused to join, everyone else ended up with bigger guns, which triggered the British to stick more onto it for compensation, leading to the quirky 4/2 layout of the KGVs. Monarch is what the British wanted KGV to be initially, before the political reduction to 14s. Lions were a further development of the KGV, so they'd look similar. Yukon is basically the same, just downtiered. The confusing part is that due to the flip-flopping, we actually have KGV at T7, followed by a preliminary design at T8.

I don't have resources either, since I stopped paying for the Blitz passes. I already have the Hood for T7, as well as Scharnhorst, don't really need another T7 battlecruiser.

Phew, I haven't played Ochakov since the review. From what I remember, it was an ok light cruiser, with smoke being the gimmick. I would probably take Yukon personally, since I already have Chappy and Kutuzov, and don't really need another Soviet T8 HE spammer. But as always, depends on what you like.

That... very much depends on what you enjoy playing, and which line you're going for. Friedrich is the stepping stone for the GK, which is an excellent ship, but maybe not everyone's style. Nagato is a great T7 battleship, but Amagi isn't great, and currently affected by the middle turret traverse bug. Z-31 leads down the scout cruiser line, which can be a bit niche, and Japanese carriers... well, takes skill, but in the right hands, they're quite powerful.

@@FunandGameswithTerry id suggest the German BB line. If you like getting your hands dirty and brawling and enjoying the thrills of overwhelming fire….do that

Yeah, this is the one designed by Little White Mouse and another CC on PC, and the handling of things by WG has caused a huge upset.

I probably wouldn't, either (first, I don't have the resources, and I already have Hood). But someone who's been paying Blitz passes regularly might have, each to their own

@@FunandGameswithTerry well i used to buy those blitz passes in the past, that was how I bought my roma, benham, etc.; until wg decided to link the level progress to daily missions achievements. Since that, I consider buying blitz passes not worth my money at all and completely stopped buying that.

It's back to damage this time around, I think. Yeah, I prefer that as well.

@@FunandGameswithTerry 😁 indeed, and I am happy with that change. Hopefully, at the very least wg will consider mixing all of the available progress modes in the coming months, and not just sticking with the same daily missions achievements to make level progress in BPs months after months. In my eyes it is somehow still acceptable as well if the progress is linked to xp obtained from each battle. But linking it to daily missions achievements is outright unpalatable to me, especially if one takes into account the progress to get the advanced boxes as well, which will be available once all the levels of the blitz pass are done. Damage based is the best, followed by xp based. Other than those modes, I wont buy any blitz passes. 😁

HMS Canada was actually built for Chile, but the British bought her back for WW1, rather just steal her, to not piss off the Chilean trade, AFAIR. The Canadians indeed had carriers, but they had to have a mixed crew, because empire and such. It's easy to underestimate the impact or size of the Canadian Navy during WW2, lots of smaller ships.

The RCN never had a battleship, but we did have a couple cruisers (HMCS Ontario and Quebec). It would have been nice if WG offered one of those instead of this fantasy ship, but beggars can't be choosers. 😉

There are some CCs who have a lot more practice than me, especially in competitive - I specialise more in working with / carrying random teams, so no idea how that'd go 😂

It's a fun one for T7. I've already got Hood, and I honestly have more ships than I can play...

Well, Yukon is a T7, so quite a different story. Hood at T7 also doesn't get the RR. These are 381mm.

More like a Down Tiered Monarch and with downgraded stats, if WG giving Yukon a RR1 and still keep the Scout Planes just like on PC and I’m not gotta go in full detail about WG mess that up. But anyway if Yukon had a RR1 along with It’s Scout Planes then it would have been a Balanced Monarch at Tier 7. Unfortunately Yukon didn’t and the cost of 50 steel in the shipyard… yeah not worth getting and it’s a waste of steel. And what’s the point of getting a DownTier Monarch at Tier 7 where it’s better to grind the Monarch in tech tree.

Well, both Yukon and Monarch are modelled after the original King George V design with the 15'' guns, so they should look similar 😉
