World of Warships - Clash of the Titans 

It doesn't matter what the actual content of todays video is, I know the comments are going to be flooded with questions about what happened to Circonflexes and SirFoch yesterday. There's even a slim chance that Joe Internet might stop to read this before yelling his outage all over the comments, so, this is Rumour Control, here are the facts. SirFoch made a 1min 46sec long video about the Chrysler K tank that consisted of him saying "Fuck Wargaming" for about a minute and explaining why for about 46 seconds. In a move that surprised exactly nobody, Foch had his Community Contributor status revoked and was *asked* to take the video down. Foch complied, and Foch being Foch, doesn't give a shit about it. Circonflexes made an off the cuff comment during a livestream about a map he hates while driving the KV-122. He compared the map to something a crayon-eating kid might have sneezed out of his snotty nose onto a napkin that got picked up and used as a map design by Wargaming. The clip where he said this then made it onto RU-vid. The problem is that the kid he suggested had done this was Victor Kislyi's son. He implied that the CEO of Wargamings' child was snot-nosed crayon eater. Unlike Fochs' video, this wasn't a premeditated attack on Wargaming, it was just a comment he made while frustrated during a livestream. Circon was also approached by Wargaming and *asked* to take the video down. He agreed to do so and has NOT had his Community Contributor status revoked. Up until this point, I believe that everything Wargaming has done is reasonable and justified. What is not clear, however, is whether or not the two takedown requests were issued with an accompanying threat of copyright strike via the DMCA system. If this is the case, I am going to be a very unhappy bunny. So. What I have done is this. I have asked Wargaming for a statement, which I think is only fair. I have asked that they clarify whether or not a either Circon or Foch were issued, or threatened with, copyright strikes when they were asked to remove their content. If it turns out that copyright strikes were either used or threatened then I have informed them that I will be expecting them to apologise for gross misuse of the RU-vid copyright protection system and give assurances that such action will never again be used or threatened for dealing with issues that should be dealt with using the appropriate slander, libel and anti-defamation laws. I've also told them that my continued association with their Community Contributor Program depends on their answer. It is NOT okay to threaten someone's livelihood with a false copyright strike when you don't like what they're saying or how they're saying it. I've been informed that Wargaming are preparing a response and I'm waiting to see what they have to say.

Wow. Count the number of Jingles moments just in the first two minutes when he's talking about Yamato's armaments! He's really outdone himself.

TWO three-gun 155mm gun mounts (1-2" (25-50mm) armor only located high up so that they super-fired over the end main gun turrets) taken from older Japanese light cruisers when they converted to two-gun 8" (203mm) mounts to become "heavy" cruisers, though still with very little armor. Originally the YAMATO and MUSASHI had four of the 155mm turrets, but the central ones -- one on each side amidships -- were removed to make room for several 5" (127mm) dual-purpose gun mounts, which were much more useful.

No Jingles, it never gets old. My roommate now wants a Yamato simply for that reason.

Ironically, one thing the Yamato's main guns _really_ loved doing was bracketing ships with plunging high-explosive japanese shells that tended to cause horrific hull damage below the waterline. She was basically a giant torpedo catapult.

That Hipper had a charmed life - those early Yamato salvos were just dispersing every way they could, he deserved that kill considering how many tons of AP he threw and missed.

Jingles, the Yamatos 155mm guns are in two triple turrets, one fore, one aft. They are quite easily visible with the fore gun being just behind and superfiring over the B main turret. The aft gun being the same over the C main turret.

Is it just me or does it look like geo fires his guns in the replay before he should be able to? For example at 12:45 he fires his rear turret at the midway before the turret is fully turned in the midway's direction...

Battleship captains also like to turn bow in because generally this allows them to take better advantage of the disbursion mechanics.. Only problem is that a primary driver of disbursion is sigma (how tightly the shots are usually grouped around the central aim point), and apparently the Yamato has the best sigma in the game. This mean that not only does the Yamato have the best armor, amazing secondaries, guns that lol at the game mechanics and armor, but they are also highly accurate. Hence why it's very common to see Yamatos on fire or having torpedoes shot at them, because while it is possible to pen and citadel them , burning and torping is generally more reliable.

ya know Jingles much like america and germany Japan also had planned "paperships" that would've been bigger than yamato. the planned ship Japan had is only known as the A150 which some people call "super yamato" as the ship at least in the sketches we found after the war show that the A150 looked just like Yamato only bigger but A150 was planned to have 6 20 inch guns in 3 twin turrets however i highly believe that if the war lasted longer the A150 would've had a design upgrade where she would've had a full armament of 8 20 inch guns in 4 twin turrets. and its this ship that i think Wargaming should add as a japanese premium alongside the germans H44 battleship which also would've had 8 20 inch guns.

The Yamato can overmatch all bow armor in the game, can get a 24 second reload with those lulpen guns and it can get down to 20 seconds with adrenaline rush, can do a respectable 27 knots, has an amazing torpedo belt, and has a 26 km range? Why did wargaming think it was ok to make something this strong?

The Yamato is an insane ship. Don't have this monster myself yet, but man dem 460mm main guns pack a punch.

Yamato has the biggest gun in the game indeed... But remember kids ! The japanese was planned for another Yamato-class called super Yamato. It would be installed with 6x 510mm cannon, with the same turrets/ guns layout as Nagato-class. Now if there are already so many paper ships in the game then i can't see why the A-150 shouldn't be joining aswell.

The 1941 Yamato actually had 12 155mm guns, but only 12 127mms. I wish this was an option, the fire setting option would be terrifying. Also, Jingles, have you watched Space Battleship Yamato 2199? You sure reference the orchestral theme song enough.

Just FYI - Citadel hit ribbons are not counted in the target hit ribbons. If a player scores 100 hits and 10 of those were citadel hits, it would give 90 hit ribbons and 10 citadel ribbons, not 100 and 10.

The "Jingles math" and misrepresentation of Yamato secondaries at the beginning of this video is absolute vintage. So much incorrect information packed into a few seconds of footage. :D

I think the important thing is that the Hipper KEPT fighting, unlike some people in games. You may not be able to win, but make them work and pay for it. Thanks for all the vids. Any chance you could give a look at your STO on casual Saturday sometime.

A while back I got the jump on a Yamato in the Mo. One salvo took of 50k from him. Made my day. :-)

I must admit that I am not good at WoW, my service was in Green & Cammo for 38 years both regular & reserve (full & part time Infantry). I do however enjoy these RU-vid videos and am learning bit by bit.

Iowa/Missouri can armor the main belt which is 38mm. At 100% chance of auto bounce angles the Yamato’s shell will bounce.

Jingles you said that the Yamato can overmatch the bow of any ship in the game but the German battleships have additional plating over their bows that mean that even the fearsome 18 inch shells from the Yamato will probably bounce

i would like to point out that the bayern at tier 6 can also overmatch ships as well as its guns are only 1mm smaller than warspite, and, there are locations on all german BB's were they have extra bow armour preventing overmatches, the decks are still vulnerable, but there are parts on the GK that the Yama cannot overmatch through the front

Can't do better as i am fairly new, but you got to admit with well over half the team being T8, it sure set him up to have a good game. Of course you need some skill for it to happen, but not gonna expect you to acknowledge that a majority of T8 ships can't take out, as you put, the toughest ship in the game.

Hay jingles! You seen the Extra credits episodes on hunting the Bismark? Something you might light and CAST JUDGMENT UPON if they get something wrong. There good about going back and saying what they got wrong.

A question for all you WoWS players-if the Yamato's original configuration, trading AA firepower for more of those turrets litterally ripped from a Mogami was available, would you prefer double the 6-inch secondaries in exchange for half the 5-inch Dakastorm? And if the twin-turret 510 mm guns were available, would you equip those six monsters over the existing nine guns? I mean, if there is such a thing as too much armor penetration, it's probably a 20 inch gun with the accompanying problems of dispersion and getting one of those bad boys anywhere near a citadel.

You were right Jingles, I'm the guy who is going to say I could do better. In fact I'm so good at World of Warships, I can play two or three battles in the time it takes most people to play just one.
