To say that this ship is powerful would be laughable.
This ship is a class on its own. WG keep pumping out these new Russian ships that are totally out of class and nobody comes even close to them.
It used to be a ship or 2 but now there's so many of them that you could pull up the entire team without duplicating any.

I hate what wargaming is doing to the game, but I can't say I am that surprised considering its the same thing they did to WoT. Edit: OH MY GOD he deleted a full hp yamato in 2 salvos.... I dont care if he was full broadside that is ridiculous as hell for something with a 9 second reload...

That kind of "Fire Prevention" is the obvious sign of bias, where the frontal fire zone is left to the very tip of the bow. I've only ever seen it on Russian ships. Think the Lenin was where I first noticed it and called bullshit.

tbh, 16mm superstructure is not exactly noticeable from 460mm AP perspective, so it flew through until it stopped on rear turret.

I would have done the same thing, but not giving broadside that is. There was only Flambass and Yoshino left, so I would have pushed on. It’s just that, the Yama was expecting it to die when it shoot Flambass, but it didn’t. It shocked the player. But the player should have known some raw powerful damage coming from Petro or even any heavy cruisers that has good AP Pen when giving full broadside.

To be fair, while the Yama was going to eat a nasty return volley showing that much broadside to a top-tier cruiser, he probably expected Flambass to die immediately from the volley and maybe not even have to take the return fire. Its a fucking Yama, it usually citadels cruisers through the front at ranges like that. Dude was second on the team, so not even a herp-a-derp. Dude made a calculated risk and got BIASed through the armor belt.

The Petrapavlovsk was the unfinished Lützow (Hipperclass) that Germany sold the Ruskies in '40. It helped bombard the german troops during OP Barbarossa, but got sunk by the Germans - after it was raised (later in the war) it was renamed the Tallinn...

There is another secret WG parameter *53И53* or 'sense' . The less sense something makes the more probable it is to happen. Shatters and ricochets off a light cruiser but deletes full HP Yamato. Oh, cool a KV2 ship.

I am not sure, but the name, which comes to mind is Roma?! high-velocity shells, which really shine against heavy armour. Venezia 2, Kremlin 4, Seattle barbet armour 3, Seattle 1 (I consider this a fluke), Yamato 13, Moskva 2 = 25. Out of the 25, 19 was heavy armour and 3 barbet pens. There you go, that's its use: can opener.

Is it citadeling on the belowdeck turret armor? It seems like thats when youre getting the cits. Maybe at a certain range the ap shells lose their ability to pen that amount. So its a yolo brawler that can murder anything if you have the balls to get close.

Last night I was in a match with some contributor who was in a Petropavlovsk. I was fully expecting it to be a loss, but then he (almost) singlehandedly took C, went to B, killed Kremlin Hindenburg and Midway, letting our CV and DD secure the final kills for the win. Thank god he was in this broken ass travesty of a biasbote or I'd have another loss on my record.

I think WG purposely designed a ratio between shell calibre over the thickness of armour. At a certain calibre, it is kind of neither AP nor HE will do anything different in penetrating the armour overall on a ship. I found that out to be between 14-18.5, the calibre of a shell is measured in Inches down to the nearest 1/8 and the armour is in mm. if the result is way over the armour thickness then it is HE over AP, else vice versa. If you get stuck in between which is quite unlikely then you have a stuck situation.

Two riccochets on the broadside Seattle at 5:30. How does this make any sense? I think these shells hit the deck at the bow/stern, rather than the side of the ship.

I always thought I was just getting unlucky with my ricochets and shatters by accidentally hitting gun turrets. That was until I got shatters on a Smolensk with my Thunderer. Thunderer HE has 114mm pen. Thickest armor on Smolensk is 100mm. Literally impossible to ricochet. But it happened when I noticed. Now that I'm paying attention I find that I get impossible results all the time. It's bullshit. It happens all ways. Sometimes I pen or get penned when I shouldn't, and sometimes I bounce or get bounces when I shouldn't. We are either missing info on how shit works or it's broken and WG just doesn't care to fix it.

That Yamato was only a DMG Piniata. Every Cruiser should be able to do that in such a situation. Some other things are not OK with this ship but that was just deserved.

Show me a Des Moines, or Puerto Rico, or any other ship that isn't Russian that can do that? The only other ship I can think of that could do it is the Stalingrad, but that just makes the same point twice.

@@Matthew-lv2bg Actually. Yama overpenned this ship because aimed way too high. Plus gave a full broadside in less than 6 km. Moskva could pull this off, Stalin could pull this off, Puerto Rico could pull this off, Henry also. DM not so much, armor is too thin. Zao same problem. WOuld die so easy. The thing that actually frightens most of us is that it was just 2 full rounds. It was rape. Moskva or Stalin could pull this off but they would need 4-5 rounds in order to do that. This thing needs HALF the TIME to kill a YAMA than a STALIN. I mean WTF.
