Mate, love the way you are explaining the decision making. Very insightful. I personally find DD's at high tier very rewarding if it goes well but also very frustrating when it doesn't. I have to say, I also love it when you get reported for not taking every cap, spotting everything constantly and torping evey BB on the map!
I'll be honest, you are a great player, but the reason i follow you both on YT and Twitch, is because you helped me be a better player, especially with DDs! Thanks for all the help man, i wish you the best!
These explanations of your actions are wonderful. I have played about 10k games and can steer and shoot at the same time (mostly). However positioning and responding to the red team's positioning are still beyond my abilities. I have always enjoyed your streams and videos but this new commentary style raises them to god-tier. Kudos.
Just the usual. Also you know. Every since the Citadel-nerf Conqs need to hump the backline extra carefully now. Weak as shit. Squishy and a easy to access Cit...No, no my friend. 24km HE it is
I lift my hat 🎩 for that great video and explanation of your decisions. I’m new relatively new to the game and got some bloody noses when I tried too much too early. Please keep up that series. That’s a great way to learn. Thank you for the time you invest doing that. 👏🏽👍🏽
Great video - thanks. You got some nice support (fighter cover) from your CV in that game, which is worth pointing out. He/she realised that with only 1 DD, it's worth keeping them alive. I wish that happened more often, but that's the problem with WG reward system only rewarding damage dealt and not teamplay actions.
Love the commentary, top-notch gameplay & the perfect example of how to handle tough situations and tough matchmaking, while still being useful & great games!
I Have been watching you for 2 years, just for the entertainment factor here on you tube, and it has always been entertaining. Now It is educational. You have me looking into twitch and discord, just to see more of this. That said, here's a challenge I think everyone would really enjoy watching, Use the same descriptive format on 2 brothers, while going down the middle, but you have to use your Hans accent of course. I am a dd main, love the amagi kill, brought a tear to my eye it was like an artist with a brush working on a million dollar painting. DD's matter mother trucker.=)
Thanks again for that live play by play, it's most helpful. You literally changed the outcome of that match by yourself. I cant imagine doing that at tier IV-VI where I am currently playing.
@Flambass; very interesting :) awesome tactics and strategy, plus some great insights for a DD player, defo worth a book! hopefully next few games... will be fun for me too
I seem to recall you saying in a previous video that were a teacher before you went pro gamer. It's not hard to see that. These tutorials are seriously excellent. Nice work.
From a new players perspective these video's are great! Just want to point out. When you say that their DD and "Cleveland" are the biggest threats, I can understand why the dd is a threat. But since I'm new I have no clue why Cleveland specifically is a higher threat than the other cruisers.
GG. Only questionable action i would say being a dd main myself is at 5:26 still rushing a Zboat knowing its hydro out spots mine with a smol last known on my flank with a cv in play. That Smol was able to shave a lot more health off you because you couldn't get out of the hydro range of the Z. The moment his hydro detected you why continue closing the distance to it giving yourself a longer detection period and time to escape it. I'll just chalk it up to trying to explaining tactics while playing and not seeing you were hydro'd or maybe wanting a AR buff which smol's like to hand out to dd players. Keep up the entertaining content and good hunting in your future games so you can give us more "SPESHUL" moments. Think its been a while since your last speshul comp.
you should think about doing a series about map positioning and tactics for every map in the game. Since this game is all about positioning, and positioning depends on the map you are playing in, it would be extremely useful if one of you super players would explain how to position depending on the map you're playing in and the kind of ship you're using.
Hi Flambass, thanks for considering making this DD vid. May i ask you a question: i'm main BB, currently trying to play DD and honestly idk to do anything to be useful. What is the main mission of a DD player must completes before everything else?
Damn this is so satisfying to watch and learn.Against balanz ships, CVs, DD with superior hydro and torp reload. Flambass in your opinion what could the enemy team have done in this game to counter play a DD like this.
5:59 torps, planes and shells from several ships. Just like every DD-game nowadays. Yesterday in the same situation i popped smoke after enemy-radar went down to catch a breath and got instantly called SMOKE CAMPING COWARD by my BB 10 km behind me. He was angry that i couldn´t spot for him while being in smoke.
12:57 You sumg bastard! Fair play to ya what you did to that Amagi. This is exactly the stuff I like to see....you say this is what's going to happen and it happens and we all understand why. Keep up the good work mate and greetings from the UK :)
Good Daring play. He uses AP more than typical. At Tier X Darings do not much up as well with other dds in gun fights. Some people use AP against the other dds and other stay with high explosive.
YAY flambass.. show to assumers how its really done! DD's are NOT EZ mode play. I'm start'n to run unicum on BB's and CA DD's lagg'n a bit behind.. frustrating at times :-) But my fave ship other then Fuso.. I love my Fuso.. I kick Tier VIII ass in Fuso
hey flambass i like the game but even after 13K+ games i struggle to hold on to my 50% win rate so i like this school thing of yours thanks , and keep them coming greets erikje
Z-52 doesn't have advantage over Daring. Sure, he can deal some invisible damage while you're running away but in the seconds before he stops and smokes you will deal more damage to him with your overwhelmingly better DPM. Then you heal, rinse and repeat. And if he gets radared by your teammates he dies on the spot. You have presented it here yourself, if you didn't sail into his hydro like a dummy you'd kill him with all of your HP still there.
You don't need to do this every day flambass, kinda feel bad about you. pls just enjoy the game like you used to be, post some fun game and maybe do this kind of video like once a week.
I don't think he is hating what he does. if he teach potatoes how to play, there would be less potatoes, therefore more capable players. More capable players = more fun
@@snowyz4217 There may be a small minority of potatos who would change, but honestly, I think most potatos will never change. Otherwise after +5000 games they would have done already
I agree here. I love the help videos, but I also used to love just watching you have a good time and slay some reds. That seemed creepy upon re reading...
Flambass, the guys you want to address with these videos don't watch gameplay on youtube. Vice versa your audience is not the reason why you feel the need to make them
Not entirely true. I'm not a very good player, but have already reached tier 7 and could reach tier 8 or 9 with a few days of credit farming. This would make me exactly the kind of player he hates. Videos like this are immensely valuable for me, because WoWs has an unfortunate dearth of educational CCs - there's iChase, these new Flambass videos and the occasional video from others, but it's really quite difficult to find up to date examples of guides on how to improve.
@@ЛентяйЁпта Except they aren't useless. Not every member of Flambass' audience is an expert at the game. There'll be plenty of people who click on one of his videos, think 'man, I can go solo down the middle of Two Brothers as well' and proceed to die horribly and throw away their ships in high tier matches.
