I thought he was a noob for taking that first torp as well, but I looked and he is a unicorn DD player. Go figure. He easily could have died from a mid ship hit like that though.
@@Pcwarmachine Unicorn? He's barely above average with 51% WR and 1226 PR.... That torp hit was unnecessary, turning out was a misplay, turning in he may still have eaten one to the stern if he didn't do it right, but turning out guaranteed he got hit. He recovered nicely and played a bit safer after that but he is still just an average player(which to be fair is much better than the below average players).
At 10:54 , jingles: they went ahead on kills. Me, checking the scores: 5 kills for halland’s team and 6 kills for enemy team. Yeah jingles, they went ahead on kills, that’s right.
Me: Finally gets am instant jingles recommendation from RU-vid Jingles: "I'm trying the creepy intro today" Me: I dont normally like creepy things...? RU-vid algorithm: hehehe, that's what you think
The Thunderer feels forced to move in because of that guy in the chat talking sh!t. Getting guilt tripped into doing something stupid is my main cause of death as a BB as well.
Gotta do what you think is best mate. Can't listen to the assholes of the game. I'm kinda curious how that guy got pink during the game... But sitting here watching him in chat was pissing me off lol. I don't think Thunderer pushed cuz of that asshole, they were kinda low on time and the enemy had map advantage at that point. It was getting to be all or nothing. Him and the Amagi came from the lost flank so naturally they don't want to be too close, and also they were getting harassed by the Yugumo for a good bit there. Plus seeing where the Shima was, it could've just as easily torpedoed them to. Assholes like that generally never get the full picture cuz they want to post blame for whatever may not be going well on someone else. He more than likely didn't see what those two were dealing with for the majority of the game.
The Thunderer was bad the whole match. First he made himself useless by being too passive, then he went the other way and got himself killed with excessive aggression. It was poor judgement in both cases.
Yeah was thinking the same, why the fuck did he steered that way instead of between the 2 incoming?? Also would have positioned him behind the island so the radar would been pointless
Dude absolutely should not have taken the torp and should have just turned into it. Different play style throughout the game if he doesn’t take that unnecessary torp.
you guys ever heard of a mistake? don't tell me torpedo beats starts up every time for you and not floodgates of shit to your brain every now and again, happens to everybody
@@Bramswarr I agree but what suprised me the most was that jingles didnt mention it Normally he says here, in my eyes, does dave make a mistake This time he didnt It just suprised me, the guy is better then me so much is obvious so its npt critique just an observation
that guy in chat, scarface or whatever, pretty sure he is the cause of the thunderer moving up when he didn't need to, not always worth to pay attention to the teams armchair admiral
Best part is MS_Surface has his stats hidden which pretty much guarantees he is exactly that, armchair admiral with average at best stats he needs to hide to protect himself from the trouble his mouth gets him into.
@@Dorkrust haha, I am not that good either tho, just dont type like that in game. Liturally just grinding my first BB line now, being the german ships and am at the Fredrich The Great now, actually won most of my games in the tier 9 so far. I just watched Jingles from long before I started playing myself. Predicting the DeadEye change I have my german ships built around secondaries and actually am one of those BB captains who still push in, but only when the moment is right. Problem is I am kind of fresh, so tend to missjudge that moment a bit lol
@@siindree Yeah I agree, tbh I've even been that guy sometimes after too many games on a weekend or something.... But I try not to be that guy and I don't hide my stats if someone want's to call me on them :P. I have the Bismark which I adore, haven't fired the game up since the captain rework so unsure how she will be in the new meta.
@@Dorkrust I had fun with my secondary Bismarck! Ofc kept it too, it's still ok to go in and use them secondaries, got a 11,5km range on them with signals and skills etc, just knowing when to stop sniping and actually doing the fun stuff is the key I think
@@siindree Yep as is the case in all things :) Glad to hear it still works, I might check out the game again when the graphics update goes live, something to look forward to.
Starting a video with "Howdy Folks" is what ensures a good video. Having a "Hello boys and girls" frightened me as hell. Like "Who tf are u? Where is Jingles?"
Found out months later after this came out that this was actually an old friend of mine (Kosulf) - I still maintain he could've dodged those torpedos (spoke to him after revisiting it), but a damn fine match overall :)
Ohh Jingles you dirty old man 🤣🤣 Me drinking coffee in the start of this video... Well I guess I have to change clothes and wash the table... I was bursting out in laughter 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The common battle tactic for the Halland-class destroyer (destroyer is called "jagare"=hunter in swedish). Was to rush the target with automatic fire from the forward gun with two whole magazines (52 rounds). Turn to shoot torpedoes while firing another two whole magazines with both guns (104 rounds). Then they retreated while firing rear gun. Againg with two whole magazines (52 rounds). All in all 208 rounds from 12cm akan and eight 53cm wire guided torpedoes. The Halland-class destroyer were eventualy equiped with naval target robots.
Never expected to be Part of a RU-vid Video Of Jingles. Played the Graf Zeppelin in this Game and i got Destroyed by the YOLO Emilio.we we're totally surprised by his move and i and my fellow mates were not Able to Take him out quick enough. I guess that was not the way to Play 😅
this is what spreads the good from the bad :) knowing what you can do and on top of that watching and understanding what is going on around you and your team and at least knowing what it takes to win. Sounds easy...but so many player brains lag so much on one or more of that skills. GG WP
I refer to you as uncle jingles even before this, you remind me of the cool uncle the kids enjoy listening to tell stories. Even if he demands they get back to the salt mine after.
One of the big things I teach noob dd drivers is “play to the objective”. It’s NOT damage or kills. Spotting, capping and area denial are far more important. It’s also not a very glorious style of play (looks squarely at Jingles and other content creators who DO glorify kills and damage), but it does lead to a stellar win rate.
What ? No rear Admiral Jingles on intro..... HELP !!! CORONA CURE INFECTED HIS BRAIN !!! LOL ;). No matter what intro Jingles. The Videos are what count at first :). By the way. It´s good to see that there are still players out there, who are capable of using their Brain instead of their Muskles !
Jingles: "can't repair full torpedo damage so this heal isn't doing great" Replay as soon as jingles finished explaining this: *repair finishes, lights up the next repairable segment* Good job jingles, you never fail to disappoint :P
I mean tbf he's not wrong. You can't heal all torpedos damage. DD heals don't heal a lot anyways (unless your in a neustrashimy) which is really the only reason they were full heals.
@@guns12396 while Neustrashimy heals more that any DD, it isnt mean "heals better'. Same 50% direct damage (shells and torps) modifier. Basically its just 2 heals in one package (2 Grozovoy heals to be exact, 4000k each). So anyway she still be stuck at 1/2 max HP after that but Grozovoy can get to 1/2 point as well, just without heals left
The uncle jingles angle work. It means we could dump the kids on you from time to time and know they'll be told educational stories while being shown how to paint mini's.
10:00 You know the Yugumo deosn`t have RPF and those torps weren`t aimed at the halland since the white "Located" indicator (that would be at the upper right, near where the "Detected" indicator is) does NOT show up. At this time the Halland definiteley IS the closest friendly- (from his p.o.v. enemy-) ship to the Yugumo.
A nice premium ship in World of Warships would be the two Destroyers Sweden built on Halland hulls for the Colombian navy. They forgoe one torpedo mount two 40mm mounts and the anti ship missiles to replace the 57mm gun with an additional 12cm turret. With a fire rate of 40 rounds per minute per barrel and having 6 barrels this made them by far the most powerful artillery destroyers in the world. And since each gun had two ammunition hoists they could switch ammunition type on a moments notice.
The Swedish letter Å is pronounced "or" and also has a hard E on the end, so Skåne would be "Skorner". I know this because I'm English and...I live there! (close to it's border with Halland funnily enough). Then again, you can just use it's English translation "Scania" (yes, like the trucks) if prefered! lol.
Jingles getting it wrong the first 2 minutes of the vid XD haha the sellingpoint of halland and her sisters was their versatility. they were basicaly small light cruisers.
Finally able to finish watching the video, despite the pain I'm in. Thanks for the kind words of support everybody. I really do appreciate it. Still have to get some Blitz time in.
Back when I was a new player, I almost tried to join IRON7, then encountered a bunch of members who were really salty in chat and ended my interest. Exactly like this guy. Who has obviously (ironically, given his comments) not been watching the mini-map; I thought the Amagi and Thunderer did a decent job to preserve hp while really outnumbered on that flank. Meanwhile, he's getting pink and then dishing out sh*t in the chat as if he's the best player on the map. I do try (not always succeed) to look at my own game before I criticise others. If I've had a poor game, like getting myself pink and failing to get any kind of trade for my ship, then I probably should keep my mouth shut and not tell other players they've played poorly, because chances are, they've played better. And both the Amagi and Thunderer get a trade.
After taking that early-game torpedo without even trying to dodge I thought "How could this guy possibly turn this into something worthy of a Jingles replay?"...
"I love the game, I think it's great, despite it's flaws, uhm, I'm going to continue playing World of Tanks" - The Mighty Jingles, "Mingles With Jingles" S01E25
No "Howdy folks" and no JinglesDamage(tm) screen at the end, this might be an impostor! Oh no, wait, he botched single-digit math at least three times, it's our Jingles for sure.
@@camouflage_cat1973 maybe, but I have seen lots of dodges; the thing with turning INTO the torps is that you have some little time to put your nose "behind" one torp while turning your rear to avoid the other torp and that can work as a really close torpedobeat. Doing it the opposite way is kind of pushing your rear to a torpedo while giving more time to your ship´s nose to enter a path of next-in-row torpedo. It matters especially on BBs and DDs and against IJN torpedoes, cause they hit really hard while giving you at least some time for a reaction (unlike Halland torps)
@@siriusczech After rewatching the scene, I have to admit, that I thought he started to turn away later than he actually did. By turning in, he would have avoided them.
Jingles you wise but silly maniac!!! Of course the Yugumo was not running RPF as when you are Detected by RPF there is a white Icon on the screen to let you know that you are detected.
Did he outspot the yugumo ? That poor yugumo didnt have a stealth build yet ? The friendly thunderer was a perfect embodiment of "kiting away from a flank your DDs win for you", "never look back to see if you could push and establish crossfires" and "preserving all your HP just to yolo into a crossfire at the end because OH SHIT CAPS" .
"Nobody is immune to air attack in world of warships, except you know, aircraft carriers because that's historically accurate" Akagi, Kage, Sōryū, and Hiryū would like to know your location
Thats why its best to play what you think will win the game. That guy who died already and raging in chat and goading the Thunderer to push up actually made it worst. Had the thunderer stayed southeast and just sniped and HE spam the musashi, with the Halland spotting, it would make for a better less stressful result. They should really make it so that the dead guys cannot speak in chat no more.
