On January 28, 2023, illustrator, Fumi Nakamura, and author, Aimee Nezhukumatathil, of the book "World of Wonders: In Praise of Fireflies, Whale Sharks, and Other Astonishments" (Milkweed Editions) discussed their work and signed books at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum.
The book, "World of Wonders", is featured in a new literary arts gallery at MMAM titled, "Waking Worlds: Wondrous Reads for Curious Minds." This exhibition features original illustrations from three book projects; Mary Casanova’s "Wake Up, Island" (University of Minnesota Press) and "Hush, Hush, Forest" (University of Minnesota Press) as illustrated by printmaker Nick Wroblewski, and "World of Wonders: In Praise of Fireflies, Whale Sharks, and Other Astonishments" (Milkweed Editions) written by Aimee Nezhukumatathil and illustrated by Fumi Nakamura.
