I was foot loose and fancy free when this was a moderate hit on the ol' Aussie charts. I was 22, traveling the world and going to all the hot dance parties. I loved ''Ship Of Fools'' and I also liked this one, though my head wasn't paying attention to the ''message'' of this song at the time.

From the excellent Goodbye Jumbo album. Is It Too Late is my favorite track on it. This was a hit single in England. Quality.

I saw his show when he came to Australia in 1993. A very engaging performer! I met my wife the year this song came out. 1990

RIP Karl Wallinger Karl was one of the best musicians, songwriters and producers. I love his contributions to the music World with The Waterboys and World Party.

Very nice song indeed! 😍 And this also was my own first time hearing it 🙂 Same style as their later Single 'Is It Like Today', which made me buy their 'Bang!' album - which should've had more songs in _this_ style on it, instead of that then (mid-90's) trendy 'clubby', kinda HipHop'y sound 😏 Cynthia & Chris, maybe also check out Julian Cope's song 'World, Shut Your Mouth'! The connection to Wallinger and The Waterboys being Cope's drummer at the time, Chris Whitten 🙂
