Sometimes I need to go to a far place for a mission and instead of using fast travel or overriding a machine,I chose to walk my way there just to enjoy the environment and nice findings across the land.
I watched the trailer dozens of times, spent dozens of hours with the game to play it through - and still get goosebumps when I watch the trailer again. :-)
@@3adir_ Guerilla had never said that flying is not possible in HZD, that was just a rumor that someone started. While I would like flying, I feel like it would change the way. you travel iin game
okay they didn't pull an anthem or anything, but the flora and fauna in the 3:14 demo section can't be done on the ps4. carrion birds circling in the sky with the sheer quantity of trees and shrubs and grass all blooming. it definitely maintains the same feel, but at the detail-level it isn't an entire world as densely populated as is shown here. that being said, it's only nitpicking for the sake of accuracy as the game itself is a masterpiece that will likely kick off a series rivaling zelda within a decade.
@@SaNyanMan couldn't care less about an upgrade in graphics as long as the gameplay is fun and the story is emotional... Nicer graphics would just be the cherry on top... Besides it's the smaller added touches which make the biggest difference
@@SaNyanMan You have got to be kidding me... there were massive upgrades between this video and when HZD released, and if you play the new HFW trailer back in 4k (note youtube video is blurry so it's worth playback in 4k even at 1080p) you can notice a lot of things, the game is more dynamic, all hair and fur ahs been upgraded again (original trailer has static hair, HZD release has TressFX powered Hair, HFW has even more detailed hair with that is less bundled together and has more individual strands). HFW's trailer shows that they have made the game much more dynamic and models that would have been static before interact more with the environment etc... such as the crabs on the beach or the crow resting on the snapping turtle as it moves around etc... that sort of thing was definitely not in HZD. there were alot of details... like the ants on trees, but the PS5 is about 5x faster than the PS4 CPU wise and has a wider array of tools for its GPU to work with, fully cinematic textures are on tap from the SSD, and geometry can be dynamically adjusted to render at the appropriate level of detail.
Man, like world of hzd the soundtrack is hauntingly beautiful. I still can't believe how GG managed to create hzd for the base 1.8tf ps4, just amazing.
Yep, and PS5 is ~10TF, cinematic textures, and dynamic LoD on full complexity geometry... not only has AMD made the PS5 faster, they have made it so that performance is used much more efficiently. New things we'll have on PS5 are 3d sound, ray tracing, I am guessing that Aloy has and other in game characters have neural network driven gait system now rather than a manually animated one, so it should appear more natural in more situations.
after seeing this for the first time during the conference livestream.... i just knew this was going to be huge. and it was... best game of 2017, just in front of zelda. it's been a exceptionally great year for gaming.
@@OriginalPuro 1. Why you assume I'm a kid? 2. I know you can see the date and time above comments, but i need to mention it to make my point. 3. If we remove your comment nothing good is lost in the world which is sad, try to be constructive or shut up.
I like the game and stuff but it would have been cool to have tall necks as a normal machine and to have to wait for the grazers canisters to fill up to get a resource
@@BillBuckingham There are so many good potential stories made for a sequel. They can do so much for the sequel. Saddly guerilla games is always secretive of their plans. If they make a sequel for this game, its gonna appear at the moment we wont suspect it
I liked how the actual game looked and played better than the trailer promised, now that's going above and beyond. Looking forward to the Forbidden West!
I still come back to this trailer and in general to people's first reactions to it, there's something so interesting and beautiful in how different groups react to this strange and captivating world. Horizon Zero Dawn and then Forbidden West are rare gems in my opinion
It's very sad E3 is called off 2020 due to C Virus I'm going to start this game today 👍 I'm sure HZD2 will also be a masterpiece One of the best games I've played
Imagine seeing that Thunderjaw coming being at the event Must have been the best feeling in the world I can't believe I've slept on this game for 8 years but this is one of the best video games ever created
This game looked so amazing at e3 and to be honest the graphics at e3 should’ve been the same in the game I don’t get why they changed it besides we would’ve loved it anyway we all loved playing the game period including the frozen wilds dlc
@@asianhavoc1872 the amount of Aloy's dialog, wildlife fleeing (birds), 3x as many machines in an area, the cinematics missing, etc. It's one of my favorite games ever, after finishing it now. But you don't get this same experience in game. You do get great longevity out of the game though. It's fun to sneak around and kill machines still.
@@ArjanTV You're in for a treat. The game has a lot of freedom to play the way you want to. So it would be difficult to not like. What is your other game you're deciding between?
Not that the little extra reactions from the Watcher and Thunderjaw wouldn't have maybe gotten old, but they always make the trailers look like there is some full complex AI to the creatures' reactions - when the game finally comes out, it's easy to see how simplified it is compared to the trailer. It's still a really good game, though.
I'm just here to see Thunderjaw up close. Ain't nobody dumb enough to fight this thing head on. You always brought an overridden Behemoth with you. Or 10.
Do you know that you can visit his grave? I like that a lot. So the character death is not just a narrative device to propel the story, but keeps relevant for Aloy throughout the game. This emotional depth is what sets HZD apart for me.
Nice welcome to the best console ever created.. i always had ps except in 2008 when i bought xbox 360 instead of ps3 and damn ie as such a fool the xbox stopped working 5 months after i got it and all the best games were on ps3
@@ArjanTV unlucky you..ive never had any problem with my Xbox 360,Xbox one,or the Xbox one X Project Scorpio, but my PS4 pro is also perfect...its Sony after all 😎. It just feels solid, the navigation,performance.. End of console wars.
It's gotten better in the PS5 trailer, its less dreadlockish... with braids + more flowing hair. On the PS4 they surely had performance issues with the hair simulation, which is why it is shorter and bundled like dreads a bit... as this simplifies the simulation. But that limitation is removed on the PS5 due to the much greater CPU/GPU performance.
Im sad about the downgrade Longnecks never walked together or in herdes... Truly herdes that walked on the map in a circle to bringing loot back to the "factory" would be cool
That moment u thought u were going to be fighting big robots but instead ur constantly fighting little ones here and there and its another generic open world game
obviously you never played the game through xD - this open world is far from being generic, hands down best open world game and level design i ever saw.
Jonatan Perez This game is in my top 5 all time. Simply the gameplay alone. I’m not even doing the story right now. 25 hours of just roaming around and taking down machines and some side quest. Taking down a thunderjaw is the best thing in the game so far lol.
@@al-rawstarr1027 the game is okay. The story is really bad, the sidequests couldve been better but the graphics and actual combat gameplay is really great. Opem world games are not really my thing i guess but I respect peoples opinion
Jonatan Perez If you played any other open world games. You’d feel bored at times and it has many flaws. Horizon’s open world is never boring. It’s that good. Setting is perfect
How people can say that final game has better graphics than here?Maybe they re blind ...Thi is an ABSOLUTE downgrade_..and i have the game...but what we see here is another planet
@@asianhavoc1872 are You sure? Because i own the game....but the First representation was far away PS4 Power..... Dumb? I think my eyes works Better than tours😂🤣😂🤣
@@ryuhayabusa4434 LOL... have you battled all the thunderjaws in the game, the corrupted ones even?? The base level thunder jaw is pretty hard to beat with basic weapons, but if you have strong weapons it isn't much challenge thats really the only difference. Also the action here was likely animated manually since this was still fairly early in development..look at Alloy's hair in the trailer here... its just a static mesh, while in the retail game it is fully simulated and has physics applied..... the HFW trailer for PS5 goes even further and makes the hair simulation even more detailed.
