The world premiere performance of Leilehua Lanzilotti's "Photos from Helen".
Inspired by photos from a friend, Leihua explores the textures of clouds and colors of the ocean and sky. The 1st movement, shear-gravity, refers to the phenomenon where clouds seem to form waves. The 2nd movement, strive for the summit, is a quote from Queen Kapi‘olani, “kūlia i ka nu‘u.”
