World Record 5x5 Single (33.02) Rubik's Cube 

Ik it's so wired. He deserves a reaction.

This was at the end of a 36 person comp. There were very few competitors in the venue that were not competing or judging at the moment.

I wonder if there's a discrepancy between people who know the 3x3 single WR vs the 5x5 single WR, that could play a part as well

@@harrydawg We all knew this was world record, it was near the end of the competition and most people nearby were trying to do their own solves. For me I had just begun inspection on my 4th solve so I was trying to focus on that. I could tell by Max’s reaction it was likely a wr and I found out afterwards it was a low 33 which I was surprised it was that much of a wr improvement and that was crazy! Additionally, most people are not going to react as it is distracting to other competitors who are solving at that time. For records where everyone in the venue goes crazy, that causes everybody who is currently solving to have to get an extra solve which is unfair to those competitors. So, that is why those solving and judging didn’t react so much to this, moreso they likely noticed it more internally. Max’s reaction itself makes total sense because he was the one that got the world record, but even there a few people ended up getting extra solves on either this or the 4x4 wr avg due to the distraction on their solves.

i take more than a minute just for the edges

@@SebastianSeth I take about 6 minutes for the centers and like 4 for the side edges

sub 30 is very possible because there was a big lock up on pll and there was also edge parity I think

you can do a 3x3 in 33 seconds?. hell I wish to do it in that time. I mastered the begginer method cant get ni faster than 1 minute 20. lol takes me 5 minutes exactly to solve the 4x4.

@@conker33350 I highly recommend you to learn cfop or at least f2l if you think there's too much. You can get good sub 25 if you learn cfop. My pb was 40 seconds years ago and after learning it I average like 12 seconds.

@@conker33350 you should definitely learn cfop, i averaged about 55 seconds before i learned it a couple months ago and now i average low 30s. Id start with full pll (21 algs) and intuative f2l. Both can be learned pretty quick with a little practice

That's mostly because improvement in cubing hardware. Those sub-1 times were done with trash cubes(as per modern market), you gotta give them credit.

He can solve a 5x5 faster then i can solve a 4x4
